Looks great, fits effectively, cools well, didn't come with low-cost thermal paste These pushpins are sooooo aggrivating but as soon as you get it its sturdy. CPU ain't touched 40c yet, idles at 32.

This point is a threeǚ scale Hyper 212 and functions as expected. Loaded temps dropped about 10C more than stock. Very quiet. The silly push pin brackets do not instill self-confidence, while mine stayed tight. If you want a backing plate mount technique, not for you. Also the copper transfer plate had quite rough machining marks. I burnished it out just before installing. Newegg sent me a single that was clearly a returned item. The case badge was gone, the thermal grease was gone (although there were greasy spots on the heat pipes and fins). But I could see the outline of a processor on the transfer plate! Unit will almost certainly be fine, but open box is open box :(

It's been about eight or 9 months due to the fact I built this machine, and the CPU (i5-750 ʂ.66ghz [not overclocked]) idles around 38C at this point.Nonetheless incredibly quiet even when I'm playing games None that I can assume of, but I haven't tried a lot of different CPU coolers aside from the stock garbage that comes with Intel's stuff. I utilised the cooling compound that came with this item, not positive if Arctic Silver or some other item could support the temperatures even much more.

Clean, Quiet and Fashionable. Thumbscrews on the window side are a bit challenging to tighten when placing back the side panel. This case is a beauty, a fantastic get.

Substantial fan, heat sink and cooling rods signifies it does its job well. It's on the substantial side, so if you have a side panel fan it'll likely interfere with it. I bought this for a mid-range gaming machine, but I won't be in a position to use it since it obstructs a fan.

Dropped my temps from 51 deg to to 39 deg even though idling. The unit takes up some room so it was hard to get my hands into the tiny space left by the fan header.

Didn't even bother with the stock cooler (read lots of poor reviews on them) for an i5 760, and glad I went this route. 22c at idle, 50 complete load. Undoubtedly not a pain to install. The supplied thermal paste was excellent top quality. None Make confident your case is huge adequate. It just barely clears my antec df-85 wind tunnel.

Keeps my i3 530 CPU at 61-63ºC when overclocked to 4 gHz while operating stress test. I normally run the CPU at three.63 gHz ྶx165) simply because I don’t like the vital greater voltage; there, temp peaks at 48-50ºC on tension test and idles at 28-30º. And my i3 530 still leaves my E-8500 overclocked to three.8 gHz in the dust while consuming fewer watts. None Those individuals that claim this or any other heat pipe cooler performs no superior than the stock cooler will need to find out how to appropriately install a cooler. The pushpins, whilst not brain surgery, do demand some forethought. In a tight case, I always remove the motherboard so that I can see whether or not or not the pushpins are properly seated.

Straightforward setup and works fantastic None I utilised this to replace the horrible cooler that came with my Intel core i5 760. The CPU was at 100 degrees C with the intel. Down to 40 and steady. I haven't looked into overclocking yet but plenty of room in terms of degrees.

This is wonderful CPU Cooler. Considering that I am familiar with metals, it is inspiring to see Aluminum and Copper utilised in such an intriguing way. I agree with Greg of 9ቹብ. The Cooler is too heavy for the Push Pins. I called Tech Support and was told that they only use Push Pins and no Alternate Retention Bracket is readily available like with other Heavy CPU Cooler producers. My Silent 1156 disengaged from two Push Pins immediately after moderate movement to the case and the program thankfully shut down after overheating. This was right after verifying the appropriate installation of the Push Pins, meaning that the screwdriver slots in the tops of the tabs have to be oriented to the center of the Cooler to indicate that the Cooler is in Locked position. Please call the Manufacturer to provide Alternate Retention Brackets for there otherwise beautiful products.

Dropped the average core temperatures on my i5 CPU tenºC. I was astounded the difference this cooler made. Cores ran between 45 and 50 ºC under load with the stock Intel cooler, same load and my cores run among 35 and 40 ºC with this cooler. Nice. The push pins felt flimsy. I know they are supposed to be the identical as those on the stock Intel fan - but they didn't really feel it. I wonder if the perceived flimsy-ness of the push pins is a function of the larger (and probably heavier) fan & heat sink compared to the fairly modest stock Intel cooler.

With my I5, My Idle is at 42-45c Not negative, at full load i in no way went above 60c, the fan is not too loud, It is a good cooler. It was a bit of a pain to put in, a little cheap on the pins, but for 30 bucks i will live as long as the fan lasts for a though. None

Lightweight. Quiet. Keeps the program cold. Core i5-750 OC'ed to three.4Ghz runs 31-35C at idle. Can't complain. It's a tad massive but it nonetheless fits fairly quickly. 1st time I purchased one thing on newegg w/o a review becoming up. I'll tell you it's worth it.

Extremely simple installationPerformed better than stock cooler Undoubtedly not silent. The fan makes an annoying whining noise even at 50% speed. I ended up going back to the Freezer 7 Pro due to the fact of the noise. One reviewer said the push pins had been weak. They feel fine to me and seemed to be in excellent shape immediately after install and removal. Manufacturer Response:Dear Client,We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this may possibly have brought on you. 8mm heatpipesSpeedy MountingExtremely Inexpensive Price/Performance Ratio Terrible Loud FanUnable to mount fan on both sides (This is generally reserved for premium HSF) The Box says the fan is 90mm, but it will fit a normal 92mm fan. Paired it up with a Noctua NF-B9 for whisper quiet efficiency. Fantastic Value HSF.

Quiet as advertised. If is inaudible and ten is loud, I'd put this HSF at a 1.Making use of AC MX-two, my idle temps on a i5-750 dropped from 42C to 35C on idle. Load temps are around 52C operating HeavyLoad. Does not cool as well as other HSFs out there, but that is the inherent trade-off for the low noise level. Thus, can not take an egg off. Be patient when installing. If you're in cramped quarters, you'll have to come across the "just correct" way to get your hands to the push pins. I have a P180 mini, so I can't envision having a difficult time at all in a common ATX case.

Comment:
-Quiet to Silent-Not Oversized-Does do an outstanding job at cooling-TT badge comes with it -Not massive temperature differences, but it's not supposed to do that This is a fantastic cooler and fit in a Mid ATX case that was slightly larger than the scout. Temperature differences from the stock aren't that good but it is Silent like in the name, so it does its job.
