cheap despite my gigabit router and CAT6 cable, this card would not achieve far better than 100mb/s and it would not stream video, whereas my onboard 100mb/s streamed video just fine. Tech support kept trying to blame my router, even even though other computer systems had gigabit connection to the identical router. cheap, operates...following a ton of tinkering so, trendnet decided to not opt for windows 7 assistance. this flusters me, as realtek has produced the driver. Trendnet just wont distribute it. right here is a link to the windows 7 32ኜ bit driver for this chip, the realtek RTL8169, if you're interested. if you want low cost gigabit for an aging method, this is it. just know that if you want windows 7 to have valid drivers for it, d/l from above. That download worked for me anyway.

This nic will guarantee gigabyte bandwidth, even though your on board nic says its got gigabyte throughput it essentially doesn't so its best to get a nic card like this one particular from Trendnet so you can use permiscious mode. It does work with 64 bit Windows 7 and the LEDs function fine on the back of the card. None

Operates as advertised, you can't go wrong with realtek. Performs with vistax64 with out any drivers, but i updated to the most current driver from realteks site anyways. Does not get hot like some people stated. high shipping price! if you're working with it with Vista64 make sure you get the most recent drivers installed for best overall performance, even although it operates fine with vista drivers.

None. Frequent drop, low connection speed. I can't get this card to operate properly with either TRENDnet or Realtek's driver. This card causes random technique crashes on my Vista and XP boxes. On the rare occasion that it works, it only connects at 10Mbits/sec.

Economical. Only two out of 3 cards bought truly worked as advertised. Newest drivers, and technical assistance could not make these cards work. Attempted different PCI slots, different cables, uninstalling repeatedly. Couldn't get gigabit to perform, then one hundred base either. Threw all three in the trash. How can a company sell such junk? I don't know how I could be the only 1 of all the good posts to have so much difficulty.

The card was easy to install into the PCI slot, instructions are clear and straightforward to recognize! I did have to remove the metal bracket from the card, mainly because it would not seat deep sufficient into the slot in my situation with it on. Removal of the bracket was straightforward, by taking out two screws and then popping it off. Windows XP identified the the card appropriate away, and the driver install was a breeze. Soon after the installation was complete I re-booted and each factor worked good. The Card is really rapidly! I am not a tech guy at all so I was super happy with the Simple install! Can't beat the value and the super rapid shipping from NewEgg! None so far Great product! Easy Easy INSTALL!

It's a low cost card that claims to be fast. Installation is reasonably uncomplicated and straightforward. Promptly came, was recognized and was made usable by my Ubuntu program. Below heavy loads, it just quits operating. I'm not sure if it's a hardware issue or a driver challenge. I'm not certain where the Ubuntu drivers come from because I didn't download or install any. When I say heavy loads, I mean, for instance, copying two+ gigs from one machine to another exactly where both machines are operating at 1 Gb speeds.It'll run for weeks below a light load.

Excellent, stable and rapid. Operates perfectly working with 50ft. cat 6e cable. No challenge throughout installation. XP Pro. SP2 recognized this card without having hiccup. Stable 1GB connection with D-Link DIR-655 gigabit router. Performs with low-cost Soyo SY-P4VTE Motherboard (VIA PT800 chipset). Some people can argue about not completely supported jumbo frames. No issue for me. If you genuinely want them go for other NIC. Excellent upgrade from on-board 100Mb/s. Cheap, dependable. Transfer rate is three-4 times more rapidly then before. My son also complained about slightly lover ping in some games.

More rapidly than 10럼 cards, on a gigabit network with cat6 cables, transfers are lickety-split. Slowest element of my network (Macbook Pro with gigabit ethernet, gigabit switch, gigabit router, two of these cards in two tower file/web/ftp servers) is the drives. Information transfer speeds are mighty swift. I get around 16 MB/s. Not really positive where the bottleneck is; a bit also lazy to poke about and genuinely uncover it. Nowhere near theoretical maximum transfer speeds; roughly 1ቦth of theoretical maximum. It's more quickly than what I had in my machines, and it's cheap. I'm satisfied.

Inexpensive, Windows 7 recognizes the card automatically. In order for the card to install correctly below Windows XP, you should adhere to the directions precisely as in the included installation guide; otherwise Windows won't recognize the card.
