This card isnt the fastest factor in the globe and its not going to give you amazing attributes or something, but as a replacement portion for a firm computer that had a busted onboard gigabit nic it worked fantastic runs ridiculously hot.......i think a heatsink ought to have been put on this thing. for the duration of a massive file transfer to a server the card nearly burned me its like 12 bucks it functions.........buy it.....but not for a server if you want a server card go with something far more expensive for the larger jumbo packet capability and far better attributes....but overall as a desktop card this thing is ideal

I am utilizing it for my MMORPG server and its been operating like a beast 24ǝ! I use a Gigabit LAN network setup and i get file transfers exceeding 120MB/s from my desktop to the server. None I unscrewed the bracket so it would fit in my Micro slim case.Uncomplicated to do, works excellent.

Great card! Installed in Vista, XP MCE, XP Pro, and Ubuntu without having any difficulties. Now the slowest portion of my network is the difficult drives. None. Ordered five of these ... 1 was DOA ... Newegg promptly refunded upon RMA.

Opened case, replaced dead D-Link unit and began computer system and was back on line... None Friend could not make this unit work in Vista, so was going to toss it & I was delighted to get a unit without any money outlay... this unit is excellent just functions, much quicker than the on-board, and hopefully it will last longer than a D-Link unit...

I got this card for a LTSP server a few months ago (Ubuntu), and it's been good. Pushes around 750mbits day and night, and hasn't broken a sweat however. Certainly recommend. None really, gets the job carried out Works out of the box with Ubuntu 9.ten-ten.04

I use that as a direct link in between my server and desktop. I discovered that due to the amount of traffic moved, my d-link router would crash regularly. I have not had any of those troubles with this device. I am using it with Ubuntu 8.04 64 bit Linux. None that I can think of right now. I would suggest this to everyone.

All the folks saying its not Windows 7 compatible are total goobers. Let Windows install it's own driver don't even use the supplied CD or the drivers on Trendnet's internet site. Up and operating and quick as ever! Pulling 8mbps faster then I did with my old 10럼 card on speedtest.net. I was receiving 24mpbs but now obtaining 32 on Verizon FiOs. Super Low-cost too! Didn't come with the small PCI mounting screws but not a huge deal due to the fact I have hundreds of them...just believed it could be a prob for a person that didnt'.

Card didn't burst into flames. Windows XP device manager located the card, even though drivers wouldn't load. Drivers would load. Neither drivers from the included CD nor the ones from their web page would load. Tech assistance took a week to get back to me and stated RMA the card. Fool me when. . . I RMAed the card and went for an additional brand instead

Based on the Realtek RTL8169 chipset. This is wonderful for anyone making a hackintosh since the very same chipset was utilized in some MacBooks and MacBook Pros, and Apple has well-tested 32 and 64 bit OS X drivers for it. After struggling with niggling but very annoying troubles with the RTL8111E on my motherboard, I plugged this card in, disabled the open-source R1000.kext driver, disabled the mobo port in BIOS, and experienced excellent, error-no cost networking total with Bonjour, AirTunes, and all Mac "sharing" options. Also a incredibly superior value regardless of regardless of whether you're operating OS X or not. Isn't as quick as some other, additional costly gigabit controllers. I haven't seen genuine-globe file transfer speeds more quickly than 30 MB/sec yet. If you have a hackintosh with any motherboard ethernet chipset other than RTL8169 or Intel 82574L, invest the money on this and make your life much, much less difficult.

Works correctly. Slight improvement in net connectivity speedover Motherboards, (GIGABYTE M61PME-S2P,) onboard network interface device. No issues installing with WINXP PRO SP3.It also talks appropriately to our other computers on our network.Low price. None. Does what it's supposed to do. This is an O.K. device if you have to have a replacement for a dead ornon existent Network adapter for a PCI slot. And it's low-cost.I can't comment on the Full High speed capabilities of this device given that I don't have any High speed line to connect it to.I have had no issues with Trendnet merchandise in the past although. We applied their dial-up modems for many years with out failure so I'mconfident that this unit will function correctly for a long time.

Simple and basic install. VISTA recognized card and installed necessary drivers - didn't need included drivers cd.As usually...NEWEGG rocks!!!! Got card in 3 days from time I ordered. HD is now bottleneck Sucks that program manufacturers spot slots too close so can't use both - must chose only 1. So, rather of PCI-X vid & NIC, I had to go with PCI NIC.

Effortless installation. Works nicely except for that discussed below. I purchased three of these switches with the Trendnet TEG-S80TXE to replace my T-base 100 NICS and switch with a gigabyte network. Everything works fine on my MS-DOS (still T-base 10) and Windows 98 computers, and I can do file transfers to and from my Windows 2000 laptop or computer at speeds which are two-three times (not 10 times) what I was finding previously. But I cannot access the Web via my HughesNet personal computer with the gigabyte NIC (although access is still feasible with the t-Base 10 NIC). I am nonetheless waiting (over a week already) for a call-back from Trendet's "technical support".

Works with nearly almost everything but XP Service Pack three. Doesn't work with XP Service Pack 3. No where on the device specifications on Newegg nor on the box does it say that it won't work with Service Pack 3, this is a extremely large deal verging on false advertising. The drivers that came with the cd would not install, the drivers from their website would not install either. My NIC was version three.1R for your future references. I referred to as tech support and all they would say is that it does not work with XP SP three. It's remarkable that it's supposed to work with Vista but not with XP SP three, unbelievable.

Only had a brief time, but it works as advertised. I couldn't get 1Gbps using my onboard nForce4 over cat-5e, bought this cheapo PCI card rather and it works without having any problems. not PCI-E, luckily had one open slot remaining

Came in box with a CD & instruction paper. Effortless to install, much less then 10 minutes hardware & software program wise. A great deal greater than my older D-Link 530tx+. In my area shipping comes regular with Purlator. They only deliver as soon as, and most of the time I have to run to their warehouse. Twice my items were in the warehouse but they could not deliver my item(no notion why). Don't anticipate to run at 2000Mbps unless you have a darn great ISP.

Works well and effortlessly under Windows XP--not tested under other OSes. Enables quickly file transfers to other gigabit-equipped machines on your (properly configured) network.Owned for 11 months. Doesn't seem to implement the optional automatic crossover feature of the gigabit networking standard that other adapters are capable of (at least when connecting to devices limited at 10럼 speeds), necessitating going by way of an proper hub/switch when connecting via straight-through/patch cable directly to another NIC that also lacks autocross. Auto-cross could function when paired with an additional gigabit adapter that isn't auto-cross capable, but I have no way of testing this.
