Set up: - Rig1: Win XP Sp2, Asus A8V deluxe mobo, Radeon 9550 VGA out- Rig2: Linux Ubuntu 6.06 (kernel 2.six.15), Asrock K7S41, Sis Onboard video- Monitor: Samsung 753DF 17" CRT- Mouse: USB three buttons mouse (with USB to PSǘ adapter)- Keyboard: OEM PSǘ.On both systems ScrlLock shortcut command functions flawlessly. For such a low cost ($x.xx) I can just but recommend it. A single of the LED plastic cover was slightly loose. Just rattles a little when shaked. Even so, functionnality remains 100% as the LED underneath its cover operates fine. This TK-205K has the hardware version V1.1R and the Firmware version A1.Really should have purchased the TK-208K which has also audio though!!

price, it performs (at least in my predicament) no hot keys, decreased video high-quality. At first i bought this in early 2007 because it's inexpensive, it worked magnificent, except that the monitor image blurred a little bit on the monitor that's getting shared by the 2 computers. yet another factor is that just after awhile i did get tired of obtaining to push the buttons on the kvm to switch signals from computers.

none for me I received this yesterday and installed it. It seems that i got a defective a single or some thing. mainly because its wasnt functioning at all for me. and the keyboard and mouse cables were as well short for me. They assumed my computers were relativley close to each other, but they are not. so this item is useless to me now. If your computers are far more than twoǙ feet apart. Then u cant use the psǘ connections.. Newegg refunded the money naturally. Newegg rocks!

Little package, uncomplicated to setup and use, excellent value 1. LCD 17" video display resolution slightly degraded2. cables as well brief --- want 6 or ten foot selection to preclude buying two vga cable extenders3. Trendnet failed to give notice that a VGA cable extension Ɩ or ten footer) must have all 15 pins wired ƓC-7) to let 5vdc on pin 9 to power device! Most retail stores do not carry this completely wired cable --- either in typical or extender type! Most cable specs do not disclose correctly the pin wiring configuration! Numerous DOAs may well be attributed to this flaw.4. Adding a cable extender might introduce noticeable 120hz hum bars causing "wavy" display on monitor Device performs properly on low-finish Vista media server with Logitech Media keyboard and Keytronic opitical mouse with slight degrade in display good quality. On the other hand, on gaming system display has most noticable hum black bar and video smearing at lcd monitor display resolution of 1024 x 768.

This unit worked for me for 2 years and 3 months. Now my computer lcd screen is showing some waves going from major to bottom and sometimes from bottom to best. I guess they did they research and figured that it would only function for two years, therefore the warranty. Unfortunately for me, I had to go out and buy yet another brand.

Low expenseUncomplicated to use None It's a good, uncomplicated, PSǘ KVM switch. I use it to share a monitor amongst a laptop or computer in my office at function and my Xbox 360 (when you're working 12hr shifts 7ǖ for 6 months straight, you'd do the very same thing). Haven't had concerns but, but time will tell how it survives in a combat atmosphere.

It's low cost, as in economical. Incorporates very good-quality three-in-1 cables. It seems quite picky about which computers it is compatible with. Tried with 3 sets of Computer's (six machines total). On 4 of them, it was completely non-functional. The last set would work (mostly) for a couple of hours just before locking up. Now I'm out over ฟ shipping (both techniques), to attempt out a ร KVM.Devote a couple dollars far more and get a different producers product.

TRENDnet TK-205K KVM Switch with Integrated Cables
Comment:
This KVM switch functions okay with two desktop computers, but had to use a 'native' PSǘ mouse, not a USB mouse with a PSǘ adapter. Would not perform with an HP 6910p laptop in a docking station or a Dell Latitude laptop in a docking station. Keyboard sort of operates with the docking stations as lengthy as a mouse is not applied, but NumLock and Capslock LEDs do not light up (even though they are engaged). Mouse wouldn't function at all: a loud beeping sound came from the laptop each and every time the mouse was moved. I had to use two mice, straight plugged into the docking stations. Following a long chat with TrendNet's telephone assistance, I was told that this KVM switch would not operate with docking stations, and that they could not guarantee that any TrendNet KVM switches would function with any docking stations.

Works good. Hotkey switching, or push button. Indicator on the box to show which a single you are working with. Easy to hook up. None. Working with a wireless USB mouse with a PS2 adapter, and it works fine. USB keyboard functions as nicely. I need to have two separate monitors for what i'm doing, so I didn't hook them up to the KVM, but it works excellent for the keyboard and mouse. I would buy once more, and likely will in the close to future for my other systems...

No ghosting on either display I've had - 15" CRT at 1152x864x32᥋Hz, or 17" widescreen LCD at 1280x768. No visual defects, crystal clear photos.Ideal for working on computer systems although gaming after operate Often gets stuck if a technique powers off I have the older version with constructed-in cables, but the technique works the same

Cute package... shed fittings, if you bumped it the mouse and keyboard would no longer perform. Tried to tape it in place, but that hardly ever worked. Returned it to Newegg for a new 1 (great service as usual!) and it was no far better. I would not waste my cash on this if I was you. I would love to discover a single that performs, but this is not it!

Does exactly what it is supposed to. Plug it in and it went right to function. No troubles at all. None. Operating two XP machines. Switching is a breeze. ŕ" and Ŗ" buttons on the switch or with the keyboard, hit 'scroll lock' twice then 1 or 2 to adjust machines. Fast service, as often, from Newegg.
