Comment:
Great unit, especially for the price. Works reliably as KM (I don't use the M b/c I switch in between DVI and D-SUB by means of monitor). Under no circumstances had any troubles switching although fully booted. If you switch suitable as a single machine is booting into windows, it can shed track on that machine. Has only occurred twice and effortless to stay away from if you just wait 30 seconds for machine to boot.

Rapidly shipping, extremely simple setup. Plugin all the cables and you are ready to go.Initially, my Linux box (Ubuntu)'s screen resolution decreased automatically to 640x480. But then I reconfigured and restarted my box and it was fine again at 1280x1024. I am not even positive that the x-reconfigure was required, may be just a basic restart with the Switch selected for the Linux box would have completed the job.Anyway, now every thing is up and operating and switching is rapidly. Hotkeys are perform under each the operating systems and are uncomplicated as well. Switching is about <ɣ second. I havent had any complications with characters missing when typing fast or anything like that. Fantastic purchase. Would certainly reccommend it None so far.

Operates like a champ. Easy to set up. Recessed PSǘ sockets. The recessed PSǘ sockets make it tough to fit keyboard and mouse cables. You have to have smaller diameter plugs to get it to fit. If it wasn't for that, I would have offered this unit a 5.

Generally operates, no noticeable lag, even if gaming with it. Looks genuinely nice, good price tag and cables had been attached when I bought mine in Feb. 2005. none I would appear into obtaining a KVM that also has USB. It simplifies things even a lot more. But this brand is great and will purchase additional from Trendnet if necessary.

Functions as advertised. None so far. I purchased the 205 model rather of the 207. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse that uses single a USB receiver for each. This way I just use the front USB ports on the laptop or computer I am employing. Operates just as great as plugging it into the 207 switch. In my situation, easier to see too!!

Functions fairly very good with a regular keyboard and mouse. Straightforward to switch back and forth, does not take a lot of time to switch. Slight text issues. Beware, will not operate with a wireless mouse/keyboard!

It's low cost, does what it requirements to do. It dosen't function with the old IBM keyboard I have.Ugly as sin. I don't think the challenge with the keyboard is the switches fault, this keyboard dosen't work with the other switch I had, so its almost certainly busted, however, I have no other PSǘ keyboards. Mouse appears to perform fine.

Excellent tiny switch. Tiny beep when changing, but not that annoying that I would give it a four Has created life so considerably less difficult working on friends computer systems I no longer have to move cables from mine to theirs to troubleshoot. I can download drivers they are missing and then just switch back to theirs to install.Sweeet

Challenging to say considering that I've in no way observed one actually perform at all. The cables are just stupid. The video cable is 46", but the kb & mouse cables are 18". The holes for the mouse & keyboard connections are too tiny for some PS2 plugs, and you'd greater be positive it operates ahead of you void the warranty by drilling them out. My very first switch was DOA. Newegg's page says to get in touch with the manufacturer, so I tried. As near as I can tell, the only factor working at Trendnet is "no one is readily available..." recordings. Newegg agreed to RMA it (thanks!), and I received the 2nd unit. It was dead also! I then spent a week attempting to speak to an individual at Trendnet who lastly verified that it was indeed broken & I could spend to ship it back to them. I requested a refund from Newegg but by this point it was 30 days following my original order. They did at least give me a partial credit towards acquiring a distinct brand.I'd recommend you NOT obtain this or something else from Trendnet. I know I'll under no circumstances make that error once more.

As the title says, it does what I ask of it. No degradation in excellent on my screen 񡾀x1024 LCD, GeForce 6200 AGP) in Windows or Linux. My keyboard and mouse function just as just before via a USB-PSǘ adapter.Buttons on the device itself for switching (big plus for me as there is no Scroll Lock on my keyboard), as effectively as hotkey switching.Value. It would be a tiny additional handy if all the cables were in the back or there were some mounting holes to attach it to my wall or desk. But I knew what it looked like prior to I bought it, so I can't take points off for that. I believed it may well have been a small fuzzy on the PC2 side, but I was working on an abused Computer with generic Windows drivers, so I gave the benefit of the doubt. Even if it was the device's fault, I won't want a lot on the PC2 connection anyway as I bought this to quickly plug in broken/infected PCs to function on without possessing to disconnect any devices from my own Pc.I can't comment on the hotkey switching features, as I don't have a scroll lock crucial on my keyboard, and for that reason don't use it.

Performs just as i had hoped. Slight text bluring. absolutely nothing crazy, just adequate to notice. This becoming my initial KVM i was a little confused as to how to use it. The Cables look like common monitor cables. but you have to use the finish with the Kbrd and Mouse end at the pc, else it does not work.

Video and keyboard operate great, buttons function excellent, also supports my high monitor resolution Mouse skips all more than the location... I don't comprehend why, I have a really fundamental five button PS2 mouse... I have to move it great and slow else it will skip to who knows exactly where. Also, it appears to "hit" random buttons... such as the mouse buttons four and five. Appears to scroll randomly as well. Other than the mouse sucking, it works wonderful.

Enable you to run two computers with a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. Also will allow the mouse and keyboard to be hot swappable if need to have be. Doesn't operate effectively on some older machines ƕ years or older). I use two of them on workbenches in my repair shop and I am ordering 2 a lot more. They work excellent. I would say they have worked on 97% or the computers I have attempted. Can't beat them for the price.

little, lightweight, cables can be detached from unit.so far has lasted longer than one more much less expensive (not by a lot) KVM I purchased from NE. In case the scroll-lock switching doesn't perform, it has buttons on the unit for every single pc (pretty handy often). from time to time the scroll-lock auto switching doesn't function (press scroll-lock twice, switch to other laptop or computer). When it doesn't, I have good results with pressing scroll-lock twice, then pressing 1 or two for either pc. note that in the item description "integrated cables" should refer to the cables themselves, as the cable is just a VGA connector on the switch end, but a VGA, KB, mouse connector on the other. The cables are NOT integrated into the unit, and can be disconnected from the unit.

Affordable. Uncomplicated idea. Inexpensive. Mouse stopped responding soon after about 8 months of use. Keyboard and monitor OK. Worked great for about eight months, and then mouse began acting erratically, occasionally freezing and requiring a system reboot. Must've spent a bit a lot more and bought a high quality item.

I purchased this item so I could use my Xbox 360 and Personal computer on the exact same monitor. But immediately after hookup I located out that both My Laptop or computer and Xbox 360 each have to be turned on to get any image/power to the monitor. Each "Computers" have to be on to get a monitor image. Didn't test KB/Mouse help.

It sorta functions. It doesn't completely do what it's supposed to. This device doesn't perform also well for me. I hooked it up to the 2 Pc's in question and it worked fine for the one particular, but the mouse would not work for the other. So now, I have to preserve employing two separate mice for the computers as an alternative of being able to use a single for each. Also, in order to get the keyboard to work on that identical machine, I have to 1st connect the keyboard directly to the Computer, let it boot, and then move the keyboard connection over to this KVM switch :(For what it's worth, the machine that it doesn't like is an Intel Core2 Duo on an Asus motherboard.

Simple to setup and use. Nice general design. Major difficulty as stated with other critiques: optical mouse and natural keyboard ps2 connections fell out of ports. Logitec keyboard ps2 connection fits tight. In a position to use 1 monitor for 2 systems, still have to use two keyboards and two mice. May well try and trim plastic on ps2 connectors to get them to remain.
