small kind factor, modular style makes elements effortlessly accessible, decently quiet case fans, supports complete size power supply and video card (ATi HD 5770), clear side panels permit you to see whats goin' on inside clear plastic sides are a small also flexible for me, but that is just nitpicking. some individuals dont like the blue LED's but they give it some gamer style, if you want a conservative rig, then get the solid black old man edition. if you wanna create a serious small kind factor gaming machine, this rig is for you. be positive to get a smaller heatsink with a good size fan just in case... advise the cooler master Geminii S, fits best and super quiet

Looks fantastic. Goes nicely with my fake tiffany style lamp (bet that is the 1st time that was ever said in a case review) and it is uncomplicated to work on and quiet (for my wants) That challenging drive carriage in the middle of the case is terrible so I removed it. Not the very best case for systems that require significant fans or have large grahics cards. Much more than one challenging drive requires either a 5.25 adaptor or employing the horrible HD carriage. Over one particular year of use with my Through mini ITX c7 mobo. Its quiet and it looks nice but I do not need any additional fans and use the onboard graphics card. It produces mood lighting with out the noise (though my girlfriend does not discover it as romantic as I do). For my demands it works excellent (Linux/FreeBSD box with ssh and apache)

I adore the size and the all round appear of the case. as far as heat goes it stays fairly cool in there. Ive also thrown some lights to the correct side and left side of the case to give it an added glow even know the stock fan comes with a good glow already... Tempted to acquire yet another 1.. Really Nicely Made. the challenging drive case... its a pain its massive and it requires also considerably space it seems you have to press down immediately after assembling the inside guts with the wires... i lalso locate it ugly to place the cdrom cage in there due to the size of the silver sides.. looks alot nicer when you can see via it rather then looking inside and seeing that nasty silver square piece in there... not also great.. General an Particularly Nicely Produced CASE.. Thermaltake usually tends to make excellent cases i under no circumstances been happier with a case then with this a single. size and shape is great. also it is good searching? i wouldnt mind if they created a case like this that isnt as tall probably for a media center... of some sort. ?

Really Modular (PSU cage, 3.five inch, five.25, tray, and so forth)-MB tray is removable Secondary "external' (top most) five.25 expansion bay needs installation of a bracket to mount 5.25 devices. Stated bracket has only 4 holes at two horizontal locations (see photos) so on some devices you are incredibly limited on mounting positions in particular if you don't use the multi-media drive face plates integrated and are hunting for a flush appear. I spent a great 20 min mounting a hot swap bay in the internal mounting bay.PSU mount can be a discomfort to reinstall. Requires an ATX PSU Manufacturer Response:Dear GreekGeek,There is bracket came with every of LANBOX series chassis. For set up the 5.25" drive on the top drive bay. Great high quality case. Really sturdy. The case is modular and is straightforward to create. They must have painted the inside of the case black also. I place the hard drive in the slot for the floppy. I was then able to take away the drive bay from the bottom of the case. That will enable you to put a large video card in the case.

Really great case all-around. The outdoors panels are good and sturdy and the black finish is really smooth. I'm utilizing this case for an HTPC rig. I couldn't see spending the money on an "HTPC" marketed case and my selection paid off. This is an altogether well-believed-out case. There is a pullout tray for the mobo and separate caddys for the five.25'' drives (plus 1hd), the power supply and a tricky drives. The case is effectively-ventilated also. The fans are reasonably quiet and nicely-placed. I'd buy yet another a single of these. none The space is tight, but we really should anticipate this with a smaller case. I had to think tricky about wire routing and airflow.

Solid construction. This is a pretty heavy case for becoming "lite" but its certainly sturdy and nicely built. Sufficient space for a x2 graphic card but a tight squeeze for a large CPU fan. Don't like the truth that you have to pull out the optical drive rack to access the challenging drives, even though its only a slight inconvenience and that's why it didn't get a excellent 5...

Thermaltake Black LANBOX Lite VF6000BWS Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
Comment:
With a bit of work there's great air flow and the case looks nice. PSU mount operates well as does the front cage assembly. To function with an currently assembled program get rid of the screws holding the PSU mount and flip the PSU and mount over on top rated of the front of the case and rest it there. You may well also be in a position to place a connected PSU to the side if your cables are extended sufficient. Case is produced for a 7" LCD hardly everyone will ever get with little consideration for someone who doesn't have it. There's no front bevel to replace the spring door on a 5.25" bay if you don't use it for a DVD or the 7" LCD. Front panel devices for five.25" bays will NOT work with the spring door because it's only wide sufficient for a DVD tray. So, if you have an lcd bay, external hot swap drive, bay fan, and so on it won't operate. The case has cheap fans, you'll want to replace them. Sides can't be removed although elements are in the case plus the side vents hold you from seeing by means of them so you can inform what you are performing. Tough drive cage poorly placed. Major drive in certain blocks air flow. Drive cage blocks front facing motherboard sata ports. I utilized tin snips to cut off the top rated half of the interior drive cage and place a second drive in the decrease 5.25 bay. I replaced the front fan with a temperature controlled Thermaltake 80mm smartfan. I replaced the two rear fans and added another employing the very best 60mm fans I could find. Essential note: location the psu fan on the Leading and use the airholes in the top rated cover for ventilation. If you do it the other way about it'll fight the cpu cooler for air. A large improvement would be if Thermaltake had selections you could acquire to replace the front bay covers so you can either cover it or use it with a device that requires a regular size bevel. Another improvement would be a way to mount the two drive cage beneath the best 5.25" bay to hold it out of the way of airflow and the motherboard. Optional fan mount on the major of the case a bit forward and opposite the PSU would be beneficial.

Smaller, fits in tight spaces, easy to carry, makes it possible for for an added fan, and has pretty lights. The USB and audio ports on the side don't appear to be working for me, not positive why exactly. It is a bit of a tight squeeze to get almost everything in if you have a bigger PSU. If you are only running one tough drive then stick it in the floppy drive slot. Only suggestions is know what you are going to place in it ahead of you obtain it.

Simple to work with. All the component trays pull out for simple access. A lot of space for additions. Finish looks excellent. Holds anything I wanted to place in there. Considering painting it with some color shifting spray paint, and the side windows come out easy, which will make masking off truly straightforward, just tiny plastic pop rivets.Built in front filter is good, face of situation comes off straightforward for cleaning.I was developing this as a common laptop or computer/HTPC, this was a excellent selection.Win7 compatibility, without having needing to download a bunch of drivers ࿠-bit took all the drivers, a couple of updates were discovered with very first update examine).Situation is designed with a pop-out notch for water cooling, although I dont' know if I'd ever go that route. Tough drive tray screw is awfully close to the side wall, making it uncomfortable to put the screw back in after the HDD is installed.Placement of PSU reduces selections of CPU coolers, even though I won't be overclocking, I've got far more power than I will need as is.OE front fan is a bit load, if you're watching films or have headphones on, you won't hear it. But if you're web browsing and your computer system is close by, you will hear it. OE Rear fans aren't as load, odd becoming 60mm's vs the 90 front fan, but they don't move significantly air. My SilenX's move additional.Even though there is plenty of space, wire management is key for very good airflow, presently have my excess tucked into the open space between the five 1ǘ" bays and the 3 1ǘ" bay. A modular power supply, or very couple of connector PSU is a should with this case.Would have been good to have the front USB ports & headphone/mic jacks hideable, for a cleaner look, but they are unobtrusive as is.Front LED is fairly vibrant, but that's easily ignored. I've performed a few swaps, and a couple of rebuilds, but by no means performed something from the ground up. Also my initial sff/htpc situation. All in all it was a great practical experience, I'd suggest the case to any person. The windows are nice, and the LED fan casts a good, eery glow, although I'm not a fan of blue, and will probably modify the fan out for either a non-LED, or a green LED.Planned additions:ATI Radeon HD 5750 - 58702tb media HDDBlu-RaySilenX 92mm fan for front of situation

Good MICRO situation with room for a full-fledged graphics card. This 1 is produced for gamers hunting for a smaller form aspect. Blue LED fan is a nice touch, but doesn't look spectacular. Lots of venting locations that could be used to make a pretty great wind-tunnel if you replaced the stock fans. I'm not a fan of the tough-drive cage and the difficulty finding to it when the optical drives are installed. If it had fan mounts on the side venting panels this I could really put a lot far more fan power on the graphics card and the CPU - but it would disrupt the front-to-back airflow the situation seems to be developed for.

If you are severe about internal lay-out and case style, this situation is a serious consideration!!! Lots of room for a uncomplicated and Productive design. Simple assembly. The component tray slides quickly out the back giving lots of accessability to all your elements. The only factor to seriously watch is the size of the power provide and the size of your processor's heatsink. There isn't space for considerably far more than a 92mm heatsink. The wires top to the energy button and the USB/Audio on the front aren't long sufficient to reach the element tray when you slide it out, but after the computer is assembled, why be concerned about it? Soon after seeing some of the other critiques on the fans that are integrated with the case, I under no circumstances even powered on the stock ones. I instantly maxed out the 60mm fan bays with aftermarket. Not a big fan of the "blue light unique" fan and see thru acrylic panels. If I'd have been aware of the similar situation with the black metal sides, I'd have gotten that.

- See-thru sides are awesome- Clean looks, not more than-developed- Dual 60mm fans right behind the processor- My further-tall Gkill DDR2 fits well with no troubles- Covered drive panels retain the front searching good- Comes with a decent blue-led 90mm in the front, and dual 60 mm in the back- Not as heavy as you'd believe. It's massive, but nevertheless portable. This is a micro-Atx case, so clearly there are a few size issues to address. I tried an Arctic Cooling 64, but it was about 2 cm also tall. I then tried a MASSCOOL 5U1082F1M4 90mm, and it fits well and cools good. I have an Amd 720 in this situation and the issue humms.Cooling in this situation is great, there are no issues at all with the drives or the proc.. - No firewire connectors- My additional-lengthy and wide Nvidia 275 GTX causes many troublesThis could have actually been a fantastic situation. It has a two-drive 3.five" internal HDD cage, but a extended video card makes it so it won't fit. If Thermatake would have offset this case by just an inch, I could have utilised it. PCI-e video cards are extended guys!! Come on. The video card also hit on the upper drive cage (the a single that holds the optical drives and one external three.five") but it was nevertheless usable with a bit of flex in the video card :(. I took the cage out and fixed it on a bench grinder. It's a fantastic case. It's decent sized for micro-atx, it has a total size PSU, micro-atx boards only have a single PCI-e...so get 1 great video card :). I was satisfied with the memory clearance and with the layout. There are a few methods a bit much better style could have produced this a genuinely excellent case. They also made this case with complete-metal sides for individuals of you who aren't into the bling....

Nice style! I like the glossy black finish, as it matches well with my AOC monitor, which also has a black piano glossy finish. Will go with any space decor if that's your concern. Installation of other hardware was reasonably straightforward mainly because of removable drive cages and mobo tray. In reality, were it not for the modular design of the situation this would have been a hard install mainly because of the massive power provide I added. With the AC97 panel on the front I can have audio in my headset and speakers at the very same time. Has all of the the needed connectors for my Gigabyte mobo. The case is a bit cramped since of the Corsair 750 watt PSU I installed. This PSU requires up a lot of space in this situation, and there's a lot of cable clutter. If these are issues for you go modular with the energy provide or select an additional situation. I won't take away any eggs for that since I am pleased general with this setup. I'll have to take care if I determine to add a graphics card in the future Had I identified beforehand that my HP mobo wouldn't operate in an old Dell uATX situation I had I probably would have gone with a complete ATX situation and mobo. Nonetheless I can expand this method with much more drives and RAM, and it does the job I intended it for.

Small however not cramped.Fits a fullsize 11-12" videocard (with three.five" bays removed).Fantastic airflow.Nice price tag. I really can't believe of anything at all. I guess some would complain that you have to pull the internal three.5" bay out to fit a fullsize video card...but this is a Micro ATX case so give me a break, plus that nonetheless leaves you with 2x five.25" and 1x three.5" bays...and plenty of space to fabricate something else if you want further storage.Cable management "could" be a small tough for some, I would advocate a modular PSU. I at the moment am running the following:CPU: i7 920 D0 @ three.8GHz, stk vcoreMobo: EVGA 1366 Intel X58 SLI/CFRam: 3x2GB OCZ 1600MHzVideo: 2x ATI 5870 Crossfire <----HDD1: 120GB OCZ Vertex SSDHDD2: 500GB Western DigitalOptical: Sony BluRayPSU: Silverstone 1KWCPU temps under no circumstances exceed 70c load, and only hit that high when operating Prime95. Gaming temps nicely below 60c.Videocards by no means exceed 70c under Vantage.Needless to say, the airflow in this situation is fairly decent ro take care of this kind of hardware with the stock cooling options. These temperatures are virtually the identical as they were in my Antec 1200 with 6x 120mm fans. For these complaining about difficulty placing this together...I'm curious as to how huge your hands are. I have this case stuffed and it took me less than 30 minutes to totally assemble. Honestly, I believed this was less complicated to deal with than my Antec 1200...contact me crazy. In conclusion, I was really pleasantly surprised with this product and couldn't

The most complex situation to operate with I've ever had. The LED on the front of the situation is significantly as well vibrant. Do not stare at it for you will most likely burn a hole in your eyes... You have to use an included adapter to use the upper five.25 bay. Why, I don't know? I had no trouble receiving two hardrives in the bay. Get a modular cable power supply. You wouldn't want to have to locate nooks and crannies to shove wires around.

- Small and compact, very good if you're seeking for some thing that won't take up extremely much space.- Nice gloss finish and clear side panels tends to make this situation extremely sleek.- Good air circulations, has kept inside the case good and cool.- Inside is very well thought out, even though it can get cramped quite easily. - Fairly tight space inside.- Fort Knox in the back with all of the tight thumb screws. This is a nice tiny case if you know what you're objective is. If you want a thing nice and compact, this is ideal. Make confident to do your analysis and know what elements will fit inside before you jump the gun, it can get fairly messy inside fairly quick.

This situation is effectively worth the money and i am really pleased with it. In spite of what some have stated the thermaltake blue orb will fit in this case and on a gigabyte mobo in it as nicely (with a small operate). Just about the excellent size and looks wonderful when you have a few of these stacked. Air flow is additional then adequate to keep my q6600 at a good 32C as i kind this, working with the blueorb silently at 1600 rpm. Not only can this hold almost any size graphic card but also the after market coolers as well. This case is very modable. Do wish it was 20mm taller to accommodate 80mm exhaust fans in spot of 60s. The blue orb will fit but it calls for removing the twin 60mm fans, or cutting into some of the fins. I simply moved the twin 60s to the outside to make space (after trimming away the grill). Some of the front cables can be short enough to be a discomfort to connect when mobo tray is not totally closed, front audio ports come to thoughts right here. This may possibly not be the great case for absolutely everyone but i liked it enough to get two, and will almost certainly get one particular a lot more. Just a shame that micro boards dont offer you the efficiency as full atx (ddr3 support and newer cpus), but thats receiving greater.
