I bought this router for a friend to have a simple wireless router for his residence. When it's all set up, product functions as advertised. Decent user interface as nicely.*Just be confident to update the firmware from TRENDnet's web page to the most up-to-date revision as it is much more stable when encryption is enabled (at least it was for me). *Very poor documentation. If I wasn't there for my buddy to set this up, he would have been lost.*Doesn't help DD-WRT. Don't count on this router to be high-performer, but if you want a simple wireless router that does its job, it performs. Also, can't complain for the price tag.

It functions good when it's working, but that's to be anticipated. Has continually dropped WiFi connections because I purchased it. On several pals' laptops and installed in several scenarios and setups. It also demands to be reset about when a week. I've had it for almost two years and it constantly drops connections. When it comes to wireless routers you get what you spend for and you should stick to the D-Link's or Linksys's.

Been operating it's small heart out 24ǝ for practically five years......just a'sitting there a'blinking it's cute tiny LEDs....(actually that got annoying genuine rapid, so I mounted it beneath the desk.) Cost me 40 bucks way back when, and the ฟ rebate in no way did show.It'll most likely give up the ghost now that I've bragged on it. I've moved this point many instances, had as numerous as 6 machines using it, and changed from cable to DSl modems with no a hitch. Just plugged it in and it worked. For me, it's been idiot-proof. I've in no way used the included software, so it need to just be for folks who know what they're doing.

Simple setup software allowed me to set it up after service providers router. A tiny slow. Can't open videos on an additional computer in the house without having pauses.

Uncomplicated to set up. Works for me greater than my old a single. Has held up with no true glitches for three months now. Broadcasts incredibly proficiently in a large 2-bedroom apartment. Affordable price, even without having discounts. Have to restart from time to time, but who knows if this is the cable company, the modem, or the router? great deal, 14.99 & cost-free shipping. worked for a couple of days. won't operate at all now, in no way could get the encryption component to perform. when you consider its a great deal due to the fact its inexpensive theirs alway a cause. should have paid far more focus to the critiques.

low-cost. effortless to configure. great wireless range (picked it up nearly a block away) rapid-ish lan transfer Incredibly slow and unstable wireless transfer speeds. good to browse the web but for wired pc to wifi pc transfers... forget it. if im lucky i get 1 Mb/s (megabit not megabyte) consistently drops the connection under load. now for the lan: 30 MB transfer speed and performs excellent... for about 2 hours. then the complete network farts till i reset the router. PCs will not talk to each other or connect to net. i have checked all settings, changed the mtu from the default 1500 to 1430 and that stopped the lan from crashing but did not fix the wireless speeds/stability. fantastic for wired lan if transfer speed isnt essential. replaced with a fundamental n router from d-l1nk. by no means looked back

It worked for a little though. Stopped operating after much less than 2 weeks. Router light comes on, but no front panel lights and no access by way of cable connection. Ordered a couple of of these for various clientele. For basic use, they function well, and are stable. I have had superior good results with Trendnet routers than D-Link. cheep plastic look. AC adapter takes two outlet spots. I will maintain on getting these, they constantly operate and are stable. I have also had great achievement with Trendnet PCI wireless cards.

For ฟ w/free shipping you probably can't get a greater b/g wireless router. Functions good for connecting with game consoles (so far have a Wii, DS, DSi, XBOX360 running). None so far. Works flawlessly so far and really effortless to set up. If you are experiencing dropped connections (probably since your ISP DHCP server is looking for a distinct MAC address) you most likely forgot to clone the MAC address from the computer system you had connected to your modem. No need to power cycle/reset like numerous of the low rating evaluations have stated.

Very good range and stability. Speeds constantly match my wired download and upload speeds when tested. Extremely economical, but nevertheless has WPA2 security. Effortless setup. When it operates, it does work. So in a sense, it's currently a far better wireless router than, say, a cucumber, or a wedge of cheese. Crashes quite frequently - usually at least once a day, even with most recent firmware. This is quire irritating when I'm the only techy person in the house.Also, no dd-wrt assistance :\ May work if your ISP gives you a static IP. But...why? Spend a couple of bucks much more and get a router that'll assistance dd-wrt.

It's not overly fancy, but it has all the significant functions you'd anticipate: DHCP, WPA-2, 802.11g, port forwarding, and so on.
