I read most of the negative reviews. Personally I did not have those type of issues. I keep it powered 24/7. Just use it for internet and TONS of P2P downloads. It is connected via a single desktop LAN and a single notebook on the WAN port. I can not speak for other or more advanced uses. I've owned the router for more than 6 month. It is my first router. The few times I've had trouble only needed a cold boot(disconnect power from my cable modem and this router for more than 60sec). Other than my own learning curve no problems to report. The thing was almost free at three or four dollars (after rebates) so I didn't have much to lose had it not worked. I went with this product because I've read more bad reviews of routers at much more expensive prices ($50 or so price range)

I truely love this router. In the past I have had Dlink, Netger, and Linksys, and I have to say I like this one the best. Easy and friendly setup. When I bought my router I got a cheep Net Magic program but I didnt use it. Rebate return time was quick and painless.. I have had this router about 6mo.

Our office has been using this router, TEW-432BRP, for couple months without any problem at all. It is a noisy environment that co-exists with other wireless routers/points from other nearby office rooms. We use it with WPA, as an Access Point. It connects everytime, yes everytime and keeping connected, wireless and wired, both G and B bands, all kinds of Windows OS, PDAs, notebooks, and desktops. Transferring big files. Set it and forget it. The signal range is stable and strong. 4~5 bars at all rooms. I am not sure why it fails at others. So, maybe we are just being good luck. Since it has no problem, so never ever try the technical support and no comment on it. And it is a really really a steal deal. Only cost us $2.99. (All rebates were received. From TRENDnet and CompUSA). We use it to replace the one from Belkin F5D7230-4 (the newer version, a small one with one antenna) (cost a lot more) which constantly drops signal when transferring big files (happens everytime).

They often say you get what you pay for but you won't even get that with this router. Do not let the low price tempt you because all you will get is an inferior product. Even after updating the firmware it still frequently drops the connection with both my wired PC and wireless laptop and quite often the router must be rebooted in order to re-establish the wireless connection. Avoid this product if you want to avoid aggravation.

I have had this router for about 4 months and I have had no trouble with it at all. Apparently lots of people have had issues with this router, so please dont base your decision to buy it on my review alone. I am a hardcore PC gamer and for weeks now, in addition to my wired PC, i have had another wireless PC and 2 wireless laptops using the router at the same time playing Team Fortress 2 with great pings to all the computers. I also have the router hidden away behind a picture frame on my desk shelf, and its not running that hot, even without great air flow. Its easy to use and for the value... at least in my personal opinion, cant be beat.

The signal it's very bad only good for wired Go for the other Netgear or so. I just got the router couple days ago, I'm using it right now to write this, I'm feel so sorry to get this because I was used the Negear B4 The signal I got was just like everywhere in the house but with this one it's like just one corner of my room

I just picked up this router to set up a network in my apartment. It may not be flashy, but does everything I need it to do. I have yet to ever loose the signal entirely, signal strength varies a little, but not enough to prevent a conection speed of 54.0 Mbps. (This is even with a 10 dollar Zonet wireless card) The router is not incredibly far from this computer, but it is a floor down from me. Setup menu for the router is also user friendly! If you are setting up a simple wireless network on a budget, you will not be disapointed.

I bought one of these over the web because the $ were right, but the wireless range is TERRIBLE. I can pick up a neighbor's network more reliably that this router even when I'm in the same room with it. Couldn't return it because from web & shipping more than unit cost!

This is a pretty good router. I would recommend it to anyone. I really only wanted a wired router for my new cable modem. But, hey at this price. The signal to a computer about 3 rooms away is fairly week...connecting at 24mbps with a 20-25 percent signal. Not so good range (hence the four). But, for this price. It is a good deal.

Great product i would suggest this to anyone. i got mine with a 30 trial of Network Magic Premium but after it turned to basic no problem it still repairs identifies problems within the network which was great. I hooked up a HP LaserJet 4 networked and sharing it with one wireless comp and wired comp. I had an old Gigafast router which was horible to me. I acctually have 2 routers on my network and the trendnet recognized that and made itself very friendly unlike the gigafast!

Bought this unit for road trips. Would not connect to the internet no matter what I did! Tech support people told me that my DSL modem (Comtrend CT301) had to be in "bridge mode" (??) Telco said their modems are not put in that mode. I've had several routers (Link-Sys,etc.) on the same system and they all worked fine with no changes to the modem. Anyone else had this problem?

Pros: - Very good signal strength, much better connection than my Linksys router. - Easy to use Web based user interface makes setup very simple, anyone who can follow simple instructions/guide should be able to setup the router himself. - Simple easy to use firewall rules allow very secure private network to be setup. - Has other features which advanced users will appreciate like dynamic routing and flexible network address translation support. Cons: Cannot think of any.

This is an excellent unit at an excellent price (with mail-in rebate). It comes complete with firewall options, wireless security, port forwarding, MAC/IP filter, remote management, and many other options. Basically, everything I need is in this little box, and it works wonderfully. The web interface takes a bit time to get used to, but it works well. Overall, it's a great buy.

The reset botton at the back will not reset the config back to factory setting. If you type in a wrong MAC address for the very first machine, you can NEVER gain access to the router ever again. Be careful. Other then that this is a good router for general use with average signal strength.

works great for normal use. tried setting up security (encryption and mac address filtering) on it but it was being a pain, so i quit. i don't know more than what i've figured out on my own in that area so maybe i was just missing something. i've also had some problems setting it up with other routers. here at home it works great with my other router, but i tried using it in conjunction with a friend's router at a lan party and wasted an hour trying to make it work. could've just been his router... i never did find out what the problem was

Super wireless router, I have owned this router since xmas 2005 and it has preformed wonderfully for me. Great controls and it does everything more expensive units do, why pay more? I recommend this router for anyone looking to network their PCs wirelessly or via wired connection for internet connection sharing and/or file/printer sharing etc. Fantastic Product!

I bought this router several months ago to replace a PC built one that was kind of dying. Although I didn't buy it here, I did pay the same price. I must say, this the best router that $10 can buy. I've never had any issues with it with the exception that some settings won't save unless you are using IE. All round great product.

This router gives me a good, strong signal and I've had no problems with it. TRENDnet's web page(s) for setting the router configuration, encryption, etc is straightforward and well designed. I called technical support (24/7 toll free) with a question and found the ''tech's'' expertise to be above average for a typical call in support center. I give TRENDnet and this router an ''A+++''. [with respect to various complaints about routers - IMHO, they are rarely the fault of the router; it is usually improper configuration]

not that i've needed it, but firmware and software updates would be nice..that being said, i really haven't had the need..just the desire to 'geek". i have this and the wireless usb receiver and they work great over a 3 story span on my system. easy to install..at the price, i've been wondering how quick it would last since day one..it's working with no hiccups 9 months later. the rebate tracking works great but as is typical of many, it can be very slow..i finally called about 2.5 months into waiting and the operator was pleasant and my rebate was sent within a week of the phone call.
