None We had to reset this factor practically each day!!! I had to write to them to get directions because the common reset wouldn't perform then those instructions wouldn't perform. We put up with this for about 2 weeks then ordered a new one particular. A various brand of course. Unless you like to sit in front of personal computer reseting the router everyday or often many occasions a day then don't acquire this!!! You will end up pulling all of your hair out. Spend a handful of dollars additional to get a superior one particular.

Inside 5 minutes or less of opening the package, I was on line with each my desktop with Ethernet and my laptop with a wireless adapter. The Wizard created installation very uncomplicated. The expense (พ.99) was amazingly affordable compared to Linksys routers I have installed! I see it has elevated in cost now by ů? Not really a unfavorable but I do appear forward to the day we can use USB or SATA ports to connect and not have to mess with those 110 transformers which take up 2-three slots on a power strip. :-)

Works effectively inside the house. It's effortless to let guests to attach for their world-wide-web/e-mail access yet keeps out intruders. Totally free software program is wonky, has to purchase upgrade from Cisco Systems, and that doesn't function with windows 7 so have to preserve the old XP box around for wireless. (Win 7 box connects OK when wired through cat 5ǜ cable) Economical, secure, hardware. Wants software upgrade, almost gave up on this but it finally worked out OK.Bought from Future Shop packaged with a 'free' USB dongle to make old laptop wireless. Bonus!

Newegg shipped out my buy swiftly as usual and UPS delivered it ahead of their scheduled delivery date as usual. Wireless from three ft away, LoS / no obstructions had less than 25% signal strength, which would then regularly drop. Incredibly temperamental piece of junk. Either it was a faulty product or I got hosed with a negative unit that I must have returned. Whatever the case based off of this, I surely don't advocate this defunct router and will not get this brand ever again. Did not have a opportunity to install for a couple of months (long boring story), when I finally did I come across out that I wish I had so I could have recognized to return it for a new unit or for my cash back as it were.Lamesauce.

Can be discovered affordable when on sale. MIR actually worked with no difficulties. Router worked okay for a while. Did a firmware upgrade for my Revision D1.1 and it bricked. Spending sufficient time with it, I can occasionally manage to get to the administration page, but it entails rebooting and waiting. The router is absolutely inconsistent in working immediately after resetting now. I've tried working with the administration page (when I can get to it) to re-flash the firmware back down and nothing assists. I've had a few Trendnet products now (KVM switches and routers) and they are an alright bang for the buck, but tend to be rather unreliable. In all probability the last Trendnet I purchase.

I live in a dorm and the wireless unfortunately was very weak. I necessary a swift and affordable router for a smaller space. This fit the bill perfectly. Simple just plug it in set it up and you are all set. No wireless-n. Not incredibly crucial but it isn't quite fairly.

Every little thing worked well on very first try. Wireless coverage OK. Discovered the menu navigation user friendly. Firmware update went smooth. The wall wart could use a greater design. I primarily use this as an extension off an additional router to connect more computers in the house via each ethernet cable and wireless.

Quite effortless to hook up and install. The user interface is fairly effortless to use and realize. I have in no way had to restart the router/modem at all (using a Cable Connection) like I utilized to have to with my old Linksys (used with Verizon DSL). Signal strength is constantly very good enough,a lso. WPA2 on my 2 year old HP laptop will reset right after three connects with the router. Following that, I will need to re-enter my security info and it's a different 3 credits from there, like an arcade. It was too annoying to deal with, so I just began utilizing WPA (which works with every thing just fine). I'm not certain what security flaws using WPA over WPA2 introduces, but I guess I've been fine with it. There could in all probability be a way to update the software program on either the router or whatever PC you're utilizing to match up superior

I don't know whats wrong with this factor but I downloaded the newest firmware and I nonetheless have to reset the router on average when a day for it to function....quite disappointing.. I really should have spent the added 10 to 15 bucks and got a various router.

It works...nicely it works in terms of, you get what you pay for.Really, really, extremely....very extremely great wireless signal. Lap best from probably about 30-40 feet away (down stairs) gets full bars...my residence isn't massive enough to get any further away unless I go to the basement. Very good for creating a house network on the low cost. It works, but it gets hot, very hot. Just make positive you keep it properly ventilated. At 1 point I believed it got fried mainly because the bottom felt so hot...why they put these vents on the bottom when everybody knows heat rises, I will -by no means- comprehend. Certainly, fan, but it doesn't need to have one if you keep it in open air!Tech support sucks! If you don't know what you are doing, don't do it. Chance's are you won't harm anything but when tech support sucks, why opportunity it?When your isp resets your ip, youll have to manually reset to router to get your internet connection back, its a discomfort, and you'll have to do some reading if you are new to this just before you comprehend. Good starter router. It of course can be passworded and all that excellent stuff so folks don't steal your net. I purchased this router when it was like 25 bucks, was a great deal back then and nonetheless is. Docked an egg since it does run hot, but its a really sturdy product for its expense. If you have ever noticed a circuit overheat, you'd comprehend why it lost egg. You get a heat spot on a circuit, no smell, no smoke, you'd never know something was damaged till its too late to even attempt to fix, so heat is always an concern.

Has often worked well with various devices for three-4 years, low-cost (free immediately after rebate when I bought it from Newegg, just paid shipping), fairly effortless to setup and use. Incredibly dependable, seldom drops connections, actually pretty much in no way. Speed is OK, range is just OK, excellent sufficient in my medium sized raised ranch home. Setup is OK but after that the "Network Magic" computer software is garbage, won't repair a down connection or enable file or print sharing unless you pay for the full version (maybe that's why mine was no cost). Connection issues have alwyas turned out to be my fault anyway so not a major deal (moved it, plugged a wire in the wrong place, and so on) and wireless printer solved the no print server issue. Almost certainly far better off not even installing the "Network Magic" and setting it up your self. It has constantly worked. No problems, no drama except those caused by me. Gave five eggs despite bad computer software mainly because it was so cheap and has lasted so lengthy with no real headaches. I have a desktop hard wired to this router and three laptops, a Wii, an world-wide-web television box and a wireless printer that all work pretty well wirelessly. Television box buffers sometimes, not sure if that's the router or high visitors on the cable world wide web in my location at specific times. I am pretty much looking for an excuse to upgrade but every single time I read one or two poor reviews of newer ones I figure why bother, this one nonetheless works nicely enough. Someday it will die I suppose and I'll have to get some thing new.

I have a personal computer literally one wall away in the basement, with fiveǛ connection strength. That component is superior about this router (probably only good for browsing). The main laptop or computer is hooked up with ethernet, works excellent also (again only browsing). Most likely superior for your average household IF computers are close to the router. Testing this going to my bedroom, it was a disaster. twoǛ connection at most, and by no means had internet access. I was better off stealing from some random house with a weak connection. Also, when in the basement, I had great connection strength, only poor thing is, if you strategy on gaming at all, I hope you like to run in place just about every minute. Firmware was the primary problem going around with this device, but if you have low-average knowledge on networking in common, good luck your'e going to need to have it. The only computer system able to get to the router setup was my wireless 1 in the basement, and you shouldn't update by way of a wireless connection or else you risk damaging your router. I spent hours with this, giving it a chance, didn't want to cooperate. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE IF YOU GAME OR Anticipate FLAWLESS CONNECTION By way of WIRELESS. Overall Weak connection compared to other wireless routers in the very same pricing range. I purchased a named brand wireless G router for 30 dollars. There's a good chance your'e going to be like me, and be disappointed, get a affordable named brand Wireless G (Not N, unless you want to upgrade your adapter also which costs rather a bit). If your'e amazed at the cost ྶ dollars at present), your'e greater off saving your income, and receiving a 30+ dollar wireless router.

Worked for 2 weeks. Got yet another power transformer for my spare parts box. Died, Quit, Stopped, Kaput, AFU, should I go on. Newegg: can't choose zero raiting, I believe this alternative really should be accessible, it it is Zero good quality, let us tell you. Unpluged from power, pluged in worked 30 minutes, quit once more. Repeated a number of times, identical outcomes. Smells hot. Not worth postage to send it back, so I opened it up. with it open it would still only run about 30 minutes then would overheat and shut down. Attached little heatsink with fan, still no go.
