Not easy wireless
Comment:
Issues with wireless connection. keeps dropping IP and I set it up several times as directed. Have had an easier time with other models, but worked fine for wired connections.

Trendnet TEW-652BRP Wireless N Home Router
Cons:Wireless range is poor on B/G devices and constantly drops.

Pros:Nice design, up to 300 mbps, price.
Comment:
This is an ok router if you are planning to use it for wired connections only, or primarily for N devices, but the wireless portion of it, really does not work all that well. The B/G range is worse than my older Trendnet G router, and with G devices, will drop  the connection constantly, even within the same room. The N reception is considerably better, but still does get the occasional drop , even when only 10 ft away from the unit. The setup screens are simular to other TrendNet products, and does offer some settings for multimedia streaming, giving priority to those packets. The firmware update  helps a little with the wireless (doesn't seem to drop  as often) and adds a few features, but it still seems to have issues. I would pass on this and get a better unit unless you only use your wireless connection for short periods of time, or primarily use a wired connection. I was hoping to upgrade from my older Trendnet G router, but find I'm still using it since the connection on this unit is so unreliable. Looking at the other positive reviews, its possible I just got a lemon. Doing it again I'd probably spend a little more and get a more trusted brand.

Trendnet TEW-652BRP Wireless N Home Router
Cons:It's in reviews

Pros:It's in manual
Comment:
It is firmware version 2.01 - so you can't put DLINK firmware or DD_WRT on it.... So all in all it is just another BROADCOM based N routerEnd of story

Amazing product!!!!!!!
Comment:
I bought this along with the Netgear Wireless N adapter for a desktop upstairs. I put the router downstairs and the desktop reached speeds of 130 Mbps! And there are like 5 walls between the adapter and the router, but it is great! The speed of my desktop is amazing and it was very simple to set up, sort of. I had to reset the router a couple of times, but it may have been the network address. Otherwise, all my Windows 7 PC's in my house are connected through this network, and I couldn't ask for more! Thanks TDirect!

Trendnet TEW-652BRP Wireless N Home Router
Cons:Not GigabitHeatWebUI

Pros:PriceSolid G/N PerformanceStableGood RangeWireless BridgeCan Use DIR Firmware
Comment:
Going to keep this short... For the price, YOU CANNOT BEAT this router. It's very stable and has excellent wireless performance and range.I'm using this router as a WIRELESS BRIDGE with my DIR-655, highly recommended.I would buy more if the limit wasn't 1 per customer, this is a STEAL take advantage while you can. This router gets hot, in the winter I'm going to keep it next to the door/window so it stays cool and in the basement or near a vent in the summer.WebUI is pathetic, very basic -- but it's possible to use D-links DIR-615 firmware with this model for some extra features. Worst Deal Ever
Comment:
I'll keep this brief; it doesn't work. The minimum for this product is that you can receive the internet. It doesn't do that for long as it constantly drops the connection. After four calls to tech support and a contentious call to customer service, I'm done. A waste of time and money.

Very good product
Comment:
Very good router, great upgrade fron a g router. Follow cd instructions. Antennas are small use for short range (300 plus feet). I think the antennas are removable anyway. Even makes a wireless g adapter run smoother and load pages beter. Didn't have any dropped signals or heat problems at all. Best regards-Larry

I bought a laptop and wanted a wireless connection through my DSL to it at home. This is the first one I have ever hooked up. After some research on the security terms, I had no problems. Works great.

Incredibly easy to setup and has a very friendly user interface. You will not find a better product at this price. I paid $34.99 and now I see it's $29.99. Do not hesitate on this item.

Sending It Back
Comment:
OK value for very minimum home network functionality, but I could not get the virtual servers to work at all. There is no provision for true static ip address assignment for those devices on your network that always need to have the same ip address regardless of the order of which addresses are assigned ( or order of which machines are booted).

trend to garbage
Comment:
I had this paired with a laptop that had a broadcom wireless g adapter and a desktop that had a trendnet pci n adapter. The broadcom was able to wade threw the constant drops this router has and keep the connection somewhat going. The threndnet pci card was not! It would lock up everytime the signal was lost and I had to kill the process or use microsofts repair connection to get it to connect again. Then, I figured i would try the new firmware and downloaded and installed it. Now, the router itself will lock up and I can only connect by power cycling it. I will never buy antoher trendnet product.

Not DeLuxe, but does the job.
Comment:
I purchased this unit based on it's attractive price and the fact that it's an N-Router. I had problems with it dropping the connection until I updated the firmware with info from the company website. That fixed the problem. The unit doesn't have that great a range. While I'm satisfied with the performance in a small house, I will say that it doesn't have that much range. If I did it over, I think I'd opt for a little more expensive model. But if your budget is limited, this model WILL do the job.

Good price, good value , no problems
Comment:
I owned a TEW-432 before and the TEW-652 is much better. I had no problems setting it up and so far the 652 is working great. The wireless connection is better than the 432 was and the 652 hasn't rebooted on its own like the 432 did.

Good price, you get what you pay for.
Comment:
Worked great for a month then I started getting dropped signals to my laptop. A week later my Xbox 360 stopped recognizing the signal. I have to reset the router almost once a week. It seems the more traffic goes through it the more I have to reset it. For the most part it does what I wanted and I really don't care about resetting it often. Now a days it seems that if you don't want to worry about malfunctions you have to spend big bucks:(...oh well Followed the other reviewer's advice and got some airflow to it so it didn't heat up so much and now I don't have a problem with it.

Bad router!
Comment:
Would only allow for 64 mb transfer rate when my laptop with my wireless N card was right next to it. It is advertised as having 300mp! Also setup is a real hassle. Confusing! Poor range too. Looked so good on the outside but did not work nearly as well as I hoped.

OK Router
Comment:
Not a bad router for the money. It has some nice features and it's easy to get up and running. I'm not real pleased with the overall design, however. You have to directly look at the router to really see the lights in the front (not at an angle). I had to send my unit to Trendnet because it was defective. It would lose its settings and wireless connectivity after being powered up a few hours.

I will recommend only if the person has N-modem and faster internet service, greater than 10mbs, and N-computer.
