Have 15+ of these installed. They preserve machines cool and stable. Quite Large. Can be tight in some situations. Don't use the thermal paste it comes with. Get Arctic Silver 5 instead.

It's rather and it keeps the CPU temps down. Huge. It was quite tough to install mainly because of the space constraints. I scrapped up my wrists whilst attempting to install it’s spring loaded mounting screws. The fan died within 10 months. The manufacture websites claims a 1 year warranty on components, but the e-mail (only achievable means to reach the manufacturer) response was to go acquire a different replacement fan somewhere. So don’t hold your breath for any warranty replacement parts following Neweggs 30 days return policy. Fortunately my computer case fan is blowing on the Tuniq heatsink fins.

I decided on this cooler result in I knew I was going to be overclocking my AMD Phenom II X4 940 and I wanted one thing that would be comparable to water cooling but much less hassle. I utilized Arctic Silver 5 and was blown away by the temps I was acquiring. I was able to overclock my Phenom to three.6GHz out the gate... I didn't have to adjust any voltages at all... I haven't tried any higher but as I am seeing how she fairs at three.6GHz... I was searching forward to becoming able to screw this tower into a backplate and have a Extremely secure connection. However neither of the two backplates that came with the cooler would fit on my motherboard. So, I had to use the clip that is supplied as an alternative. The nice issue about the clip is that it created it uncomplicated mode to attach the cooler. Though it is extremely secure and a great firm fit, I would have rather had the alternative to use the thumbscrews and screw it into a backplate. This cooler is so Huge that I am unable to have my fan cage that swivels on the side of the case, installed. The initially fan spot of my Cooler Master Stacker 830 case gets in the way of my CPU cooler. This is rather unfortunate as I will need to have to most likely use a dremmel tool of some sort to cut the plastic in order to have my side fans installed.

Very good price for this substantially cooling function. It's major. I was trying to upgrade my P4 single core to overclock it but the rear case fan had to be removed. Also the prime of the cooler was touching the case cover. When installing the H adapter you have to use 4 screws with springs to attach it to the motherboard. This is impossible with no removing the motherboard. As well much function. In the finish I abandoned it and just drilled holes in the case and added an additional case fan. I am certain on a new build this is great but for an upgrade it is too considerably of a hassle. I will save it for my next develop.

Successful cooling. Really large, do your homework as it may well not fit your motherboard/case. Not an simple install. I am rating this purely on what it is meant to do, not how big it is(huge) or how challenging it is to install(PITA). Based on cooling I am giving it five eggs simply because I knew it was big and that I would have to mod the bracket to get it on my Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R. Barely fit in my Cooler Master Storm Scout. Can not use the upper side panel fan with it installed.

none does not do a lot of a far better job as my stock AMD phenom x3 8450 cooler. My idle temps were in fact cooler with the stock cooler than this. Sadly I will be returning this for a sunbeam core contact cooler. I even relapped the surface and it didnt support at all. All i recieved out of this cooler is a waste of Arctic silver5 heat grease.

Keeps my Phenom II X3 720 happy ʃ.2GHz and is relatively quiet. Single biggest complaint is the mounting 'system' for the AM# socket, if you can call it that. Of all the brackets, mounts, braces and screws, the only issue holding this to my CPU is a simple pressure clip. There is no way to make positive it is positioned properly and it freely slides about on the thermal compound - I'm amazed that it hasn't slid down now that its in the case! The directions for this socket are as underwhelming as the mount - a tiny black-and-white card that's not even labeled as such. Going on the internet aids, but you just get a color PDF of the very same card.A 4-pin fan would have been good instead of the manual speed manage. General...meh. The mounting expertise was horrible, and had absolutely nothing to do with the size. There is a small nub in the center of the heatsink that the mounts for other sockets use to position the heatsink. Would it seriously be that challenging to include a related mount for the AM#? Preferably one particular that makes use of all three clips instead of just a single on each and every side? Offered the size of this item the really least I expected was a respectable mounting solution. This is probably fine for the Intel crowd, but I wouldn't advocate it to AMD users.

Allowed me to overclock my aging P4 method to 3.8 GHz with temps at 100% reaching no higher than 50C. The only reason it wont reach four.+ GHz is due to the physical limitations of my RAM. Once more, Large! I had to move my primary intake fan from the back to the front of my case and put it on top of my DVD drive mainly because it was taking up space the heatsink needed. First time installing a heatsink. I pressure this point heavily: Make confident you tighten the handscrews until they will go no further with human force! I spent two days (without sleep) immediately after the very first failed installation attempting to figure out what I had accomplished wrong. Answer: I needed to turn the screws a few additional instances.

Cools down my 3.6GHz E8400 to 39C at a room temperature above 25C. When operating orthos, it kept the die under 60. Genuinely fantastic. Somewhat hard to install if you have every thing fixed in your case, even though I managed to put it in immediately after 30 minutes. The style of speed control panel needs some improvement. The knob on the panel is too big to fit into a standard slot and you seriously don't require such a huge knob. I at the moment put it outside the case. Possibly I will mod the case later. Given that I take the tower on and off many times, the applied thermal material may well not be so productive as expected and I'm not incredibly knowledgeable at applying the grease. The cooling could be superior. I strongly suggest that you install this tower just before fixing your motherboard onto your case. Then it will take you much less than 3 minutes.

This factor keeps almost everything So cool. The directions don't tell you which directions it blows in, but if you know anything about...... well anything... you can tell by seeking at the fan. Modded the controller and have it installed in one of the front bays. Makes fan controll SO effortless. GINORMOUSScarry as balls to install this on a mobo... you're afraid it will snap correct off.

I'm using this with a Q9550 @ 4.0ghz and MX-2 thermal paste... This factor is HOT! But not literally. In all actuality, my Q9550 idles at 27c and goes into the mid 60's for the duration of load, and up to 71c soon after a few hours. But that's okay because my chip is rated for 71c. My Tuniq didn't come with the normal thermal paste, but that's okay since I was waiting on my Q9550 anyways, and plus Newegg shipped me a bottle of MX-2 for totally free since the paste was missing. This factor was a pain to install, but immediately after the second install I got the hang of it, and got it carried out in under 10 minutes. This is a Quite capable cooler, and I don't program on acquiring rid of it anytime soon. (unless an individual gives me a cost-free watercooling setup, lol)I just wish the LED version of this cooler had been on sale for ็ when I purchased this 1, because I would have gone with the LED... Ohh properly, this 1 looks nice even with out the shiny light,

The greatest I have employed! 120mm in size and fits in an Antec 300! The Tuniq thermal paste that comes with it is the ideal I have ever utilised also! I've employed artic silver, but this tuniq paste functions way better. None.......no, not 1! Just look at the measurements for the antec 300 and know that something much less in the width department will possibly not take this fan/hs. It just fits in the Antec 300 without touching the side of case, so any fan over 153mm in height will not fit in the antec 300. Some full towers don't measure a lot more if any when it comes to width compared to the antec 300. The antec 900 is the very same width as the 300, but the antec 900 II is wider, as is the 1200. I adore the fan speed control, eventhough I've had to move it around a time or two for my xfire setup. The 92mm heat sink fans have absolutely nothing on this monster! Yes, it's heavy and yes it can be a pain to mount, but don't use the sticky stuff to attach the back bracket, but rather, place the bracket on the table and lower motherboard and align the holes and then mount it and it will perform like a charm. Mine cools an E8500 like I couldn't believe. At four.two throughout prime96 it wouldn't go more than 40c, often held at 39....of course fan speed was up there about 1750-1800. I run an everyday oc of three.6 and the fan speed is 1200 and it doesn't go more than 32c. I bought artic silver paste for an amd create of mine and I will by no means do that once again, cuz I utilised some of my left more than tuniq paste on it and it just kicked rear on heat, but when I reseated with artic silver, the temps get up to 40c when they used to stay around 30c. You artic silver lovers can have it!

This thing Rocks, Been running my E8400 3. GHZ at 4.two Ghz for more than 6 months straight. Under full load playing crysis the temps reach 49 deg C which I locate incredibly acceptable, 29 Deg at idle without utilizing speedstep so it's idling at four.2 GHZ all the time. I could only reach three.four Ghz with the stock HSF and it would crash. Kind of don't like the rear mounted knob fan speed manage and the screw next to the chipset heat sink it's hard to reach during install with out scuffing my knuckles, but the outcomes are way worth the finish result for cooling. Would purchase a different 1 for yet another build for confident and I talked my brother into the very same cooler for his E8500.

Decent fan included, good air movement more than a lot of metal. 1) Challenging installation. My hands are massive, so acquiring them under this massive monster is a challange. Soon after disconnecting a number of other items around the cpu I managed to get this thing in.2) The fan is loud at its max RPM setting, but you can adjust it with the included controller. Superior aftermarket cooling remedy. My idle temp went down 2C, load went down over 10-15C compared to stock.

I purchased this HS/F for my spending budget 775 build and I couldn't be happier. Installed it on an E6420 at stock speeds considering that I don't do anything too heavy with it, and it idles nicely around 18-20C. I've never noticed it go more than 35C immediately after hours of gaming, or soon after operating OCCT to see what the max temps would hit on load. Sits in an Antec 900 and is extremely tall, but I knew what I was receiving into. Had to mod the side panel fan a bit so that It wouldn't hit the Tuniq. Don't forget to install some Arctic Silver 5 with it appropriately, and when it's performed curing you ought to be please. :)

It's truly good. It keeps my 940BE genuine cool. Not loud on all the way high fan speed. None If you don't see the connector exactly where your speed controller plugs into. Open up the fan. I did that... and it nearly cut the wire...
