Keeps my Q6600 super cool at 24-27C at idle!!! but it gets alot of support from my case (raidmax iceberg)looks cool and feels solid the fan mount is a bit weak. feels flimsy and doesn't slide out quite well nor does it slide in effortless either. had to use some screws to preserve the fan mount from coming out due to vibrations and noise this thing is enormous, make sure your case is at least 8" external width to accommodate it. get a very good case with superior airflow to aid this badboy cool a lot more effectively

Keeps my cpu tems truly low, along with an adjustable fan speed setter. 120mm detachable fan straightforward for cleaning. None what so ever. I discovered it a little bit strange that it kept it at the same temp as my 80mm kingwin cooler which was 20.00 much less, type of a shocker.

works like a charm! its cooling my Phenom II X6 1055T ʃ.6 and is at 45c full load! 29-32c at idle not truly a con but its freaking enormous! I knew it was huge, but I guess I truly wasn't that ready for the size!

Very good cooling unit. It keeps my CPU below 30 C and has the adjustable fan speed knob on the back. I am running it inside a Thermaltake M9 case and it has much less than a centimeter clearance from the side of the case. Size... keep in mind that it is a significant tower and you will need to make sure it will fit in your case. The size doesn't bother me due to the fact it does a great job at cooling the computer. I hardly use the speed of the fan to cool due to the fact it does such a fantastic job.

I've owned it for a small over a year now and it continues to give me fantastic load/idle temps. Yes, I have utilized an aftermarket thermal compound the AC MX-two (which i advocate over the arctic-5, which was what I employed for ages before the MX-two). It's huge, i mean, it's truly big, so much so that I had to swap my ram with my other pc, because this unit got in the way. If you have ram with heatsinks, beware, the unit could get in the way. -Asus P7p55d-e pro-intel i5 750-8gb ram - g.skill (with the red regular heatsinks)-128gb OCZ SSD

Superb cooling properties and just looks amazing. Installation was not too hard. N/A Just barely fit in my case. There is only half a millimeter of clearance in between my plexiglass window and the cooler.

lowered temp to 28c idle from about 40c idle from stock heatsink and fan. The tower was less difficult for me to get in than the stock heatsink and fan with the push in clips. Will never ever use push pin once again immediately after getting this tower. The out take fan for my case is correct beside it which is nice due to the fact the tower fan can blow straight to it. Will def. suggest to others. none If you program on obtaining this check your side panel if it has a fan on it you may possibly have to remove it, wasn't truly a major deal because I was able to get rid of it and location it on the front of the case after removing the hard drive cage. If you have a fan on the back of your case close to exactly where the heatsink will be make confident the fan is blowing towards it. You can pull up the fan in the middle of the tower and looking at the blades you really should be able to tell in which direction it should be placed on the motherboard.

Good design! Nice 120mm fan inside.Keeps my CPU running at 25 Degrees Celsius, stock two.40 Ghz speeds. Huge I had to custom mod the mounting plate for the 775 mounting because my motherboard didn't like it, but it was easy to dremel away the outer round AMD parts.

cools the processor ridiculouslyhas a nice clean appear to itthe copper heat tubes are genuinely close to the fan and has wonderful outcomes incredibly big, like getting an engine block. as other people have stated you actually wont know until you see it... i mean this thing has a 120mm fan INSIDE it.the brackets actually are kinda weak and i would never ever trust them alone to hold such a monster. you will/should supplement the best by developing a brace to anchor the best to your case. i produced two little hook issues that i could screw into the holes ALREADY in the top of the HS, and those hooks xfer the weight/support to my case. works genuinely superior... but i didnt even want to tip the case upright until thse were in place. you cant really blame tuniq although... it is a massive HS; making it universal would be a challengefan isnt all that great i feel. soon after a brief even though mine began making a weird noise when it would be as full speed. and it doesnt seem to have a high static pressure, which is vital in this case since the fan needs to force the air thru the HS. despite the fact that i was messing with it alot too so i may possibly have degraded it it genuinely does cool the proc good, no worries at all there. i have a 2.66ghz black edition AMD quad-care oc'ed to three.12 stable with this and could go higher. at that speed i got a little warm. i bought a new fan for it, and extremely advise it as it dropped my temps one more 6-8 degrees and for the ASUS people it is a four-pin PWM fan:Cooljag Everflow 120mm PWM Fan - R121225BUAFcant acquire it here at newegg though. my cpu run 33 idle now.this is a fantastic HS, it just demands a little far more creative thinking to be comfy with the weight and the possible pressure exerted onto the motherboard. unless you create a brace like i did to support the weight off the motherboard to the case i would not get this HS. but really any HS even the high finish zalmans are just as big and should also be supported.

Just hopping on the 'works great for me' bandwagon. With out boring you do death, it has enabled effective stable overclocks of my Q6600 up to 3.4GHz though I would assume someone with more tech know-how could push that a bit farther. It is significant and resulted in me removing a fan from my CM830 (not that losing 1 of 4 fans on the side will in fact result in anything) but that is no big deal. Large size on a vertical motherboard often concerns me as far as torquing the motherboard goes. Once more, no major deal.

- Very large and good heat dissipation. A lot more than ample for my 955BE @ 3.8Ghz. Idle about 35*C, load about 51-53*C. - Quiet when properly adjusted. Folks complaining about noise can fix it instantly with the INCLUDED fan controller. I run mine at 1900RPM and it's pretty tolerable. Turning down to 1600 is quite quiet and not much warmer overall. Possibly 55-56*C load. - Idle temps really sensitive to room temp. On a warm day I'll idle 38*C. But load is mostly unaffected. - Really insecure mounting technique for AMD. It has lots of room to slide about which is not excellent. You have to straighten it as soon as every thing is in location. Seems to remain put alright although once setup. Genuinely could use a backplate mounting strategy for AMD.- Challenging to install at initially. Taking the fan out makes this considerably easier. Following that is genuinely really straightforward. Everyone complaining about noise. Don't forget to screw the fan firmly in spot. Mine vibrated like mad until I put the screws in.

This factor cools like nothing I have ever seen. I have had this for virtually two years now and I have by no means had any problems with it. I had the fan set to it's lowest setting even when I'm playing Fallout New Vegas. The fan that was put in it finally gave up. As soon as the bearing goes bad in it this factor will vibrate and make all kinds of noise. Also the screws securing it are quite effortless to strip when mounting the fan bracket. Placing it on a motherboard can be tricky with the thumb screws. Overall I would get this once more in a heart beat. The heat dispersion is exceptional and it looks incredibly cool in your case if you have a window. I'm thinking about replacing the fan with a lighted one just for appearance simply because the fan doesn't do considerably inside it correct now. I used Arctic Silver 5 for the thermal compound.

Solid construction: It's a beast. It just barely fit my NZXT Tempest case.Looks: It's amazing seeking once you get it in location. The brushed aluminum finish a fire shaped cut edges genuinely appear nice facing the side panel. Not too flashy, just really impressive.Functionality: It works nicely. I haven't more than clocked it with my q9550, but does wonderful at stock speeds. Heavy: Don't let the picture fool you. This bad boy is huge and heavy. If this is your initially create, don't let that intimidate you, it's properly worth it in the end...lol.Installation: Discomfort IN THE @#$. Yes it's doable, but what a pain acquiring it centered on the processor. Honestly, ask a person with small hands to hold it in place even though you center it more than the processor and get the screws began. INSTALL WITH MOTHERBOARD OUTSIDE THE CASE IF Employing A GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R. Sort by means of the pieces, then take your time installing it. Be really careful placing it on the processor as soon as you have the thermal paste on. Once your accomplished, it looks Amazing. It doesn't need LEDS if you already have some on the case, unless you want a Christmas tree ;^) Looks nice as is. Be patient and wait for a rebate or instant cost drop that will get you below forty bucks. It WILL come. Good luck!!

This cooler is incredible. I have it lapped and it keeps my 4GHz E8400 at 25C idle and mid-40's under load with Arctic Silver 5! I am in awe! It's so effortless to install even although it looks intimidating at first. I discover the screw mechanism a lot less complicated to use than the lever/bracket garbage that AMD uses. The fan is very easily removable, makes for simpler cleaning. Make positive you tighten one screw then do the opposite screw (an X pattern) to make sure that you have an even get in touch with surface. Tighten every single screw until it won't turn anymore....uncomplicated peasy! It scares the heck out of you when you are first installing it...you are pretty much particular that the motherboard will crack in half under the weight. Don't worry though it won't occur. Oh and I wish mine had an LED fan...but I guess that I can constantly swap out the fan simple sufficient.

it's a biggun! stunning design. nicely machined. w/metal screws, not affordable plastic clips. utilized Artic Silver 5 compound, but it comes with superior Tuniq paste. fits with working room at the power supply in the Thermaltake Tsunami case. that case is 1inch+ taller than other mid-towers. recommend taking case measurements 1st unless using a FULL tower. mounted side door fan on the outside of the case due to little clearance inside. it looks fine & has mesh screen covering. installed on ABIT IX38 QuadGT w/Core two Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz in Aluminum Tsunami case. recommend removing mb to install. this is a SUPER obtain for the money. terrific cooling & fairly quiet fan. none. bought a new case due to fan size but am a great deal happier with this case anyway. invest some time preparing before assembly. not any mid-tower will leave sufficient clearance btw heatsink & PS. learned the difficult way. tighten screws enough to keep cooler from twisting. but not sufficient to crack the mb.

Maintain my q6600 cool about 32-35 idle overclock three.four runs around 56-62.Kinda large but I have a large case it fits in good.Installed simple will need a good compound with this to cool efficiently. 5 months and no rebate, get in touch with with no reply as of but.Would have given five eggs if not for the rebate. If you are looking for air cooling this is the 1 for you. must have a medium to large case for this to fit.

Working with this to cool my q6600 @ two.68GHz with temps running about 28-32 C on idle with it going into the mid-high 30's on full load. Also using Artic Silver five for thermal grease.Fits nicely in my Thermaltake Spedo case. It was a discomfort in but to install, but what coolers aren't somewhat difficult to work with. This cooler wasn't too poor, just pretty typical on that regard. I wasn't certain about the brand at initially. I was thinking of going with Thermaltake for my newest create, but I'm glad I tried this one out.

I got this for a midrange budget develop back in 2008. -WAY quiet, I kept it running full blast all the time and it made scarcely a whisper. Its sound was absolutely nothing compared to the noise of an HDD, Vid card, or DVD drive. I'd even advise it for an HTPC if your case can fit it.-Lots of airflow with that 120mm fan. It kept my Q6600 good and cool.-Major, but placed nicely. It was awkward to install (what cooler isn't these days), but it did not create critical problems, like RAM clearance. I used OCZ Reaper sticks that had large separate heat sinks up on leading of heatpipes. They had been a great 50 to 100% taller than most ram and I had no clearance problems at all. -Too poor I didn't have a windowed case since the thing looks fairly wicked. I this would be 1 of the greatest searching coolers to have in a windowed case.-Removable fan is nice, in case the stock one ever dies. It easily lifts out right after you eliminate 4 screws on the top. no LGA 1366 support. Awkward, but not terribly complicated, to install. I would acquire this again for my subsequent rig, but I'll be running an i7. No LGA 1366 support so I went with the Tuniq Tower Extreme rather. I hope it performs as nicely as this 1 has.

This thing is enormous (great for showing off). This factor also keeps my CPU actually cool. Actually quiet. Adjustable fan speed. Fantastic heatsink for OC. This factor will fit a mid-size tower; just make positive there's no fan perfect above where the CPU is. Installing this factor was annoying. It's tricky to screw the screws in with this major thing in the way. The screws itself had to be forced on. We also had to saw off the some of the H bracket to fit on my motherboard due to the fact it was produced to fit all sorts of motherboards. On the other hand, for just your motherboard, the additional metal to fit all sorts of other motherboards may take up space. I had a GIGABYTE GA-EP43-DS3L, and the H bracket interfered with the built-in heatsink. Those who have this motherboard may have problems. four friends of mine who are PC enthusiasts recommended me this. It was this or the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 for just ฤ off of some special deal. I'm glad I got this massive thing.

Good looking cooler, Gr8 Install package for everybody BUT AMD2 users - Read Below Who ever developed the hold down bracket for the AMD2 Motherboards, requirements to go back to Tech School!@As far as mounting the bracket, not an concern at all. Simple Mount. As far as the style I give it a F-The heatsink has a really tiny Nub in the center, which clearly was developed for the other brackets, when you install the hold down clip, if your employing the AMD2 bracket, the Bracket has a Massive hole to go over the smaller nub, which indicates the Heatsink will NOT seat and remain in one spot on the CPU! Considering that there is NOT a very good technique of supporting the weight of the Heatsink, the small nub on the base of it swims inside the Big hole, and forget about keeping a Great seal with this. It slides around like its at a skating RInk!Incredibly Dissapointed With the AMD2 Style, and sorta sucks beacuse I genuinely wanted to use this cooler ;-(I guarantee YOU That this clip was an Following THOUGHT so the organization can say its AMD2 compatable, vs genuinely designing a hold down that truly works properly This is a Really Heavy cooler, And still 1 of the greatest out there for any person not utilizing a AMD2 Motherboard

I was pleased to uncover that this fit my case. Dropped my temps from 44-46-idle to 40-42c on overclocked e8400. I'm running at three.65ghz at the moment from a stock speed of 3.0ghz. Under load average temp is ㅭ. Copper heat pipe looks cool. Tightning the heatsink down is straightforward (thumbscrews) compared to some other heatsinks I've had in the past. No louder than stock fan. you have to pull your motherboard to put an X-clamp on the back. Have mixed feelings about temps. I was expecting cooler temps based on the reviews here. I'm having questions of my thermal paste application. I utilised artic silver 5 with the spread method. Still, a 40c idle on a 20% overclock is pretty sick... if everyone has some suggestions, get in touch with me. I'm close to the only individual on the web with the name LoXodonte. Just google it and it's me. If I get super ambitious I could yank it off and apply the paste that came with the cooler. sigh.

Nice heatsink, works nicely. Fan is not that loud, I dont use the included controller so the fan runs @ 100% all the time 񢉐RPM). 4 screws that have no stoppage, so you have to "eyeball" it and hope that you have equal pressure on all 4 corners. Tuniq ought to take notes from Th ermalright and their Ultra 120 Extrm. Heatsink required some maintenance soon after 6 months or so, dust develop up. Occurs to all tho, not really a con. Im positive most of the negative comments of lackluster cooling are from individuals who were unable to get equal pressure on all four screws. I have reseated and experienced it myself. Even though its uncomplicated sufficient to eyeball the screws with the mobo outside of a case, whilst inside, its not as easy. And if you dont have a removable mobo tray, it can be a discomfort. I bought my brother the Th ermalright Ultra 120 Extrm for xmas and located out just how nice of a cooler it is. The screws on the 120 Extrm are superior simply because they only tighten down so far and then stop, so you have equal pressure on all 4 screws. A lot less complicated to use IMO over the Tuniq. I will in all probability appear there for my subsequent cooler. If tuniq had screws that were similar, I'm sure the tower would get the praise it deserves from all.
