Tuniq Tower 120 Universal CPU Cooler 120mm LED Cooling Fan and Fan Controller/Heatsink
Comment:
Right after reading all the excellent evaluations and hours of analysis I decided to purchase the Tuniq T-120 cooling method. I’m confident glad I did simply because it dropped my idle temps by 10 to 18 degrees C. Operating my processor at max speed (before 51C now 35C). This is a quite fantastic heatsink…not only does it have amazing cooling energy but looks excellent in your case. It took me about an hour to install and the directions are straightforward and uncomplicated. The mounting plate and screws are quite secure. As soon as the heatsink is mounted it’s not going anyplace. I brought my computer to perform in my truck and it slid off my bench seat to the floorboard; I thought my pc was toast. When I was lastly in a position to appear inside at the heatsink I was very impressed that it didn’t move 1 bit and there was no harm. For just that explanation alone I would highly advocate the Tunig T-120 to any person. More than all it’s a fantastic cooling method that is nicely constructed with a fan that is quiet even when it's operating full blast. It is wit None

Quite strong build, fantastic protected packaging. The fan controller is really handy. Fantastic style, keeps my 9600 cool as ice. I would undoubtedly suggest this to Silent Computer enthusiasts. Looks great also. Comes with everthing you will need, which includes some Tuniq thermal grease! No installation directions for AM2 (though it is incredibly simple). AM2 bracket is a small flimsy. operating on a 9600 Phenom X4

nice seeking, appears to hold every thing cool, quiet, speed control, blue light... the way it mounts it blows air up (into PSU blowing down) or down (straight onto my GPU) not fwd or aft...directions are a bit sketchy and I had a problem with one particular of the nutplate holes beneath the bracket for my 775, I assume it just wasnt drilled wide sufficient, but I got it in after utilizing a small elbow grease and a pair of pliers... it fit wonderful in my silverstone kl03 with about an inch to spare ...its just large...Massive

I utilized the Antec Silver 5 thermal paste instead of the tuniq-1 (generic compound) this heatsink came with and am particularly pleased. It dropped my CPU temperature by 11*C to a cool idle temp of 28*C. The Q9550 has a terrible fan and heatsink it comes with so I was left with small choice to not buy a thing. This was an exceptional get. None This will enable me to do the overclocking I am hoping for and need to be in a position to get my Q9550 with EO stepping up to four. ghz.

This cooler gets greater the tougher you function it. The fan manage function is awesome as nicely. Installation was not tricky but if you take the time to do it right, you will be properly rewarded. Only a con if you try to place this in a modest case. It is much larger than I believed it may be, but it fit well in my Thermaltake case. If you have the space in your situation, this is your cooler. After a lot of research I decided on the Tuniq and am extremely pleased with my decision. I would extremely advocate it to any and all who will listen.

Factor has awesome cooling potential, a massive upgrade from the other heatsink I had on my processor. It keeps my temps in low 30°C's at idle and low 40°C's with the fan spinning at around 1500-1600RPMs(I don't Overclock). Fit on my AM3 board and possessing a blast searching via the case at the blue glow it illuminates. Excellent clearance for all items around the heatsink. Works well with Arctic Silver five. -Big Large Large! ! ! !-Quiet till about 1650RPMs, right after that it gets noisy-Could be my expansion slots, but it doesn't truly line up correctly, a bit of overhang for the secure screw, and I had to get rid of the knob 1st when I install it.-Installation was a bit of a hassle(see other thoughts)-The blue glow was not as bright as I thought it would have been and mainly directed downward on the motherboard, but it nevertheless satisfies me. Installation for this mammoth of a heatsink is tough for a RaidMax Smilodon situation. I like the case a lot, but to install this in the case is not for the weak! I'm not reviewing the case, but the fold-down feature for the motherboard is great. The Tuniq Tower 120 defeats it even though. The heatsink will catch on the power provide if you attempt to use the fold-down function. On the ASUS M4N89TD EVO board you will discover it tough to clip on the secure bracket as the heatsink will get in the way on one particular side, then you have very limited space with the power supply right up against the other (only fought for a minute, I'm a mechanic by trade so I know how to maneuver my hands and fingers to tight spots, lol). Also had to take away the fan to aid with installation. The case is also not wide enough to preserve the RaidMax video card cooling/stabilizer side bar. Overall pleased and satisfied, four out of 5 for the installation and removal of components developed for the case I like. Going full tower soon even though.

does it's job effectively and fits on my abit board like a dream. Utilized some MX2 paste and my stock 2. 3800 went from 50 down to 36 on the similar chip overclocked 10% to two.2ghz. got a new 5000 and i can still oc the beast and in the course of complete load of crysis for 5 hours i have not see something greater than 45 instruction pics suck.... even on the internet site.... i could figure it out on my own uncomplicated, just i'm fearful the small clip could fail and the heatsing will drop like a tank off a cliff. i would have preferred a dual dide mount on the board... but oh effectively... it's on there great get a p180 case. it looks like this was developed just for it. the fan will blow the cpu air out the back situation fan

I waited to write a evaluation till I employed this cooler for a bit. Wow. I have an Athlon X2 6400, which runs hot. I had a Blue Orb cooler and it was continuously operating close to max temp of 63 C. With this cooler it in no way goes more than 50C. I have noticed reviews that put this cooler at the best, correct subsequent to low end water solutions. Large. So tall it practically does not fit in my case. Truly touches the side.

Major. I'm Positive it cools great but not out of my Pc. Will not fit at all, If you screw on 1 Screw it offsets the H plate. The H plate was also incredibly challenging to hold on the nub on the HeatSink/Fan. Going with the arctic cooler 7 to save cash and it is straightforward to install.

This cooler does precisely what each and every critique says it does. Keeps your processor as cool as it can be. Equal or slightly lesser cooling than the Thermalright Ultra 120. Even so I favor this one due to the built in fan, I'm not a huge fan of the fan clips on the True. It is large, even so fits snugly in my Antec 900.

I now have three Tuniq towers Ƒ on a program for sale, 1 installed in one of my private towers, other Tuniq cooler not however installed in my other private tower) and I Enjoy it!! :DThe cooler dropped the core temperatures by nicely more than ten degrees Celsius. This actually is not a fault that lies on Tuniq or Gigabyte (Gigabyte 945P-S3/Gigabyte 945P-DS3), but the mounting bracket (socket 775) will not go on in the usual fashion. 1 side of the bracket hits three capacitors on the board so front-to-back air movement is not doable unless you do some cutting (NOT advised.) I have this with the rear exhaust fan blowing air in, and the fan in the cooler blowing upward, then an 80MM fan blowing out as an exhaust. The fans becoming employed are Silverstone 120MM x 120MM x 25MM pushing a hair over 110 CFM. And an 80MM x 80MM x 36MM pushing a hair below 100CFM.I'd like to attempt and use my other Tuniq tower (not but installed

Fantastic cooling, keeps my Q9550@ 32-38 degrees celsius.Looks sweet. Bad style, unlike most other CPU coolers i've noticed you can\'t rotate this one, the heat sink gets in the way of the "H" bar. It either points up, or down. I got the EVGA 790i For The Win mobo, and my GPU is situated five cm away from the cooler which happens to be pointing down. This cause my GPU to run at 50 degrees.. not great. I thought i could flip over the tuniq but noooo, my case design (Xclio 1000) is great and massive the cooler would fit in my case, but the PSU is situated above the CPU cooler.Dilema: burn out my GPU, or threat messing up my PSU...also the screws are hard to get in. Not for OCers, i tweaked my Q9550's FSB from 1333 to 1600, the cooler worked good, temps remained at 40 idle, but the GPU heated past 60 degrees. Also the directions are confusing, and the folks developed this place in a backplate. I unscrewed my complete mobo just to install this.If you want this just to cool, go ahead but be sure to have a nice case. OCers, stay away.

Cools good and Looks amazing. HUUUUGE!two quad-core Opterons 񡼷) running at 19C and 24C idle and 25C and 30C on load. I bought this to safeguard my investment! My computer system uses 2 of these and runs Prime95 24ǝ except when I'm gaming. Didn't fit my socket 񡼷 aka Socket F....mainly because it's enormous and socket 1207 normally has heat sinks about 1 inch tall so they don't make them) I didn't feel a want to lap this because it's as massive as a grapefruit. I had to buy 2 and then HAND MAKE THE BRACKETS OUT OF SCRAP METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! two quad-core Opterons 񡼷) operating at 19C and 24C idle and 25C and 30C on load.I'd buy this once more if it was ŭ cheaper....

Wonderful heat sink, even though the actual airflow offered by the fan is minimal. Also, altering the setting on the external manage knob seems to do really small to impact the speed of the fan. It keeps my P4 running a great 15 - 20 degrees cooler than it did with my previous CPU cooler. WARNING! The insulation pad on the motherboard backside mounting bracket is insufficient to prevent the CPU contacts on the back of the motherboard from producing speak to with the metal of the mounting plate. The first time I mounted the fan, the contacts shorted as soon as my machine booted, causing a multitude of hard drive errors, and triggered me to have to run CHKDSK to resolve the errors. I removed the cooling unit and the mounting plate, and covered the motherboard's CPU contacts with strips of black electrical tape, and then remounted the cooler, which seemed to resolve the issue. A note to the manufacturer: The complete surface of the mounting bracket wants to be covered with insulation, not just the tiny circle of double faced adhesive it comes equipped with. Also, due to the fact of the size of the heat sink, I had to eliminate the 80mm fan from the side of my case to enable for it, but since of the surface region of the heat sink vanes I nonetheless run cooler than just before. With the issue I had, I nonetheless reccomend this cooler, with the advisory to potential buyers that they take the aforementioned precautions. Also, it is quiet as a church mouse, but I would have traded a small more noise for much more impressive air flow. Luckily, the fan is removable, so I'm considering replacing the fan for a more efficient 1. But the heat sink is a keeper!

Keeps my 1055t genuinely cool. 32*C idle, under no circumstances observed it hit far more than 45*C, even with all 6 cores maxed although doing some folding. Looks remarkable. Not as heavy as it looks.LED Fan gives it a seriously cool look. This factor is Enormous. It is about the size of a softball. If you have a leading fan, I recommend you take out the motherboard to install it, otherwise you will just will not be able to get the screws in. My HAF 922 had a hole in the back for the back bracket installation. However, the cooler makes use of spring screws, which are hard to put in. My best fan was obtaining in the way, so I had to use my 7 year old niece to fit the screws in, and then I tightened them with my finger. Also, if you have RAM with high heatsinks, you will not be in a position to fit this one particular. The fan comes out at the bottom of the cooler, and barely clears the RAM (with no heatsinks) with about 1 cm. If you take out the motherboard to install this, you will have no dilemma installing it. If you leave your mobo in the case, get some assist. Eliminate the motherboard to install it. Otherwise, get some assist from somebody with modest hands to get the spring screws in.

I've heard that a lot of persons have a challenging time installing this cooler. Just make certain your motherboard is outside the case when you install, preserve a flathead screwdriver handy, and you should be all set. This factor keeps my AMD 5000+ BE fairly cool (about 26 C degrees when idle). If I could give it 4.5 eggs I would. It's not *that* massive of a deal, but the wires really feel somewhat inexpensive. Also, although it's not rocket science to set up, the directions could be a small bit clearer (for noobs). Also, the knob on the potentiometer is type of hard to pop off, and back on again so that you can install the plate on the back of your case. Be cautious with this step. I'm not major on the LED lighting, but if that's your thing I guess it could be thought to be a bonus.

Massive heatsink, fan controller, 120mm blue fan The base for my socket 775 motherboard came all out of whack, 2 of the mounts wouldn't fit up into the motherboard holes. two of the threaded portion of the backplates were threaded incorrect and had to be forcefully stripped/re-threaded with one particular of the included screws, at the expense of grinding out metal particles onto my motherboard. 4 of the 6 copper caps that go onto the top rated plate that you see were missing and you can see the ugly crimped heat pipes. The screws were rusted that hold the cpu get in touch with surface to the heatpipes. All in all, the create quality on this was horrible, all the little things add up, and for โ I expected a tad more. I will be sticking with Zalman subsequent time I need a HSF. Not worth it to send back and wait 2 weeks for a refund, I'd like to in fact use my pc.
