best bang for the buck
Comment:
got a Q6700 running at 3.32mhz and it dropped my temp. by 10 degrees in a crapy mid tower that can't breathe.it also dropped the temp. of my mobo and gpu.the monitor reads a little lower than my bios though, but i can get over that.if you want to run cooler, you have to shell out the bucks and go liquid.

Nice!
Comment:
Installation was a breeze. I was rather amazed how quiet this unit runs. So far, this device keeps my Core i7 975 processor running cool. So far, I have no regrets on this purchase.

Competes with Liquid
Comment:
I installed this on a Q6600 and it kept my processor at 24degrees C and at 40-45(very rare 45) at load. Very nice, but con is it's MASSIVE. VERY TALL. Then again, it was a very tiny case. For some reason my reader did display a few degrees off. If you can't offord liquid cooling, this definitely fits the budget to compete with Liquid Cooling systems. And btw, just so you guys know, the "Full throttle" doesn't kick in until at LEAST 38-40 degrees C. Once that limit's reached, the cooler switches at full max and it shouldn't go past 45C at load; mine doesn't, and you should see my case. I have a 750watt power supply installed with a buch of cords that I don't need, there's barely any breathing room in the case and everything, with propper installation, runs very cool.

Awesome Cooler!
Comment:
I bought this to put on my e8600 3.33Ghz cpu. I had the sole intent of overclocking. This cooler keeps my processor under 58c on a full load clocked at 4.4Ghz. If your into overclocking and dont want to go liquid, this is the cooler for you.

Horrible i7 Heatsink
Comment:
I bought this cooler originally for my i7 rig I was building. Terrible choice. Although this product may look nice, and you'd think the insane price would be a look at its performance, nope. First off, the temp monitor doesn't display the correct temp, its off by at least 10 degrees, meaning when it says you're at 30C, you're really at 40C. Secondly, this HSF does a horrible job actually cooling. Idle, the CPU was around 38-40C, which is n't that great. Next, under full load it was nearing 80C, disgusting! When I tried playing GTA4, I got temperatures up to 71C. I build computers for a living, so this was not a case of being installed incorrectly, but the product is simply poor. If you plan on building an i7 rig, go with the Thermalright Ultra Extreme (TRUE) or Noctua U12P. This item was just garbage, and I've already sent it back.

A deal to take with a grain of salt
Comment:
I mean, watch yourself if you buy this. Yes the cooler does cool the CPU A LOT (more than 10 degrees lower than my old one). But there are things that the engineers just did not do so well : first, the temperature reading on the LCD is NOT the CPU temp, it is probably the motherboard's, and it was always between 24C and 26C, and this does not tell us anything. Moreover, the most annoying part is the noise it makes. At idle, the sound goes up and down at a frequency of 1/10 seconds. It WILL make you crazy. It is the main reason why I returned it. The engineers need to rethink the embedded system's algorithm before selling more of these.

Performs worse that a good heat sink.
Comment:
Used on i7 965 OC'd to 4.0. Idle temp ran 38C, was 40C with True 120; under load 50+, and only 45C with True 120. After a few hours of use, unit died.

Comment:
Keeps my Q6600 33 Cecilius idle and havent above 55 for a 24 hour load with clock bring from 2.4 stock to 3.6ghz. The q6600 being 65NM it puts out a lot of heat and this CPU cooler takes the heat and throws it out of the case.

Does a decent job with an i7-950 processor
Comment:
Keeps my 950 at around 30C at idle and about 45C at 60% load. Does the job, alittle expensive and didn't know how it would perform on the i7 platform, but worked out well. I've found the temperature display on the bay display does not agree with the register numbers.

Outstanding cooling but.....
Comment:
Previous Coolit brought stock temps down from 50C to 42C. Since the Coolit's pump didn't last very long, I was out looking for a replacement pump at 60-80$. I opted for newer technology of the chilltec at 120$. The kit includes several cpu mounts. The installation was the worst I have ever experienced. The mainboard has to be removed, and the cooler needs to be mounted to the board before you put it back in. This creates some mounting problems for the mainboard since I had mainboard mounting screws under the huge heatsink of the Ultra Chilltec. Also, my cpu power connector fell under the Ultra heatsink, creating problems for plugging that in. The control unit occupies a cd drive slot and the included cabling went on without any problems. I powered up and instantly the control unit gives a readout of cpu temperature without any drivers. I glanced at it, and had to do a double take since it indicated 24C. 2 days later and it is solid 24-29C. Recommended.

Closes to water.
Comment:
This cooler is working very well. It is the closes to water cooled you can get. Running I7 975 CPU and temperatures are around 24C idle and 67C stress tested for an hour. Went with the OCZ OCZTFRZTC Freeze Thermal Extreme Conductivity Compound.

Easy to beef up
Comment:
uses a 92mm case fan, you could easily swap this out with a 92x92x25 delta (90cfm @ 4100rpm 12v) which would push this thing way beyond in terms of performace what it is now. or, you could swap it out with a more conventional fan and add a bit of style if your into moding. been researching building a new computer and it looks like this is the cooler for me. oh, and if you need extra space the controler is basicly hollow, would be a real simply task to half it's length or even reduce it's volume to only the face plate and screwing the small pcb locate in the back of it for power connectors to somewhere else in your case.

Best of the CPU Fan-Family!
Comment:
I haven't had much experience with different CPU Fans, but this product is impressive. On average, my room temp. is around 30 deg c. When I am surfing the web, writing papers, playing Majong on my computer, my CPU temp. averages around 26 to 30 deg c. When I play WoW, it jumps up to 32 deg c on avg. When I play AoC or the Aion Beta at full-blast, it's avg 36 deg c. This fan was a great investment overall. Installtion could be a little tedious with the spring nuts that mount it to the board. The only downside is its size. It's a huge fan that weighs a good 3 to 5 lbs. roughly.

One of the best air coolers on the market.
Comment:
Got this a few days ago, and it runs flawlessly. I installed it on a Phenom II 720, and I have it overclocked to 3.7 stable. The best part is, I don't have to worry about the cpu temps going tooo high because even under maximum load it does not go above 36 degrees C...Idles at about 27 C. The mangament unit is very neat also. Kinda of a large cooler, so make sure you have a larger mid tower or a full tower case. Overall I great product; Extremly satisfied.

Great cooler
Comment:
This beast is a great cooler for the price. The install was simple. Instructions were excellent. I was a afraid that putting it horizontal on top of my motherboard would cause it to bow...not the case. I have a quad core Intel over clocked to 3.6. At full load I never got above 36c. With 2 other CPU coolers I haven't been able to bring it near that cool at full load. Idle it stays around room temperture. THAT right there was worth the price of the cooler.

Great CPU Cooler
Comment:
This CPU is pretty nice but must take into consideration that ITS BIG, I have a Cooler Master Full Tower and it just barely fits in there. Other then that I get around 34 degrees C under load on my quad core. I would recommend this CPU cooler to anyone.

The Best Ever
Comment:
I have purchased 5 CPU cooling fans in the past, and this one is the best. My CPU was running at 94C with the best I had purchased previously. With the TEC CPU Cooler, I have been averaging 28C. My computer has never run so cool.

This beast is a super product to buy ! Does the job and I like the looking inside ! Peltier elements are well known to perform accurately and this one is NO exception. Contrary to tther posts, I did find easy to install. I really recommend this product but, read the specs for size because it's BIG !
