Ultra ULT40366 3.5 Floppy Drive with Multi Card Reader

I still want a floppy and I wanted a card reader so to have both in a nice compact space is great. Not great mystery, plug into the USB header(cable included) and then the Floppy header(cable not included) and its working.

Very noisy as the motor seemed to be rubbing against something and if the case metal was touched it made the noise worse. Also the USB 2 plug in did not work either as the software kept telling me to plug it in when it already was. I returned the item for credit.

Multi-card reader works like a charm and is plenty fast, the floppy works like it should, not much else to say, good value for the money.

People here that think internal floppies DON'T require an FDD header SHOULD NOT BE BUILDING computers. Listen, if you want a floppy and your motherboard does NOT have an FDD, BUY EXTERNAL. There are absolutely 0 options for an internal drive that work SOLELY OFF USB as far as I know. Long story short, RESEARCH PEOPLE. RESEARCH. As far as this product, the media works fine and the floppy just as such. Happy with it.

Looks like a fine proiduct. I bought it for the card reader and that uses an internal USB connection. The floppy still requires an IDE connector on the motherboard. My new EVGA mother board does not have a IDE connector. I returned it prior to an installation.

If you want a floppy drive that doubles as a paperweight, then go ahead and buy this product. The floppy DOES NOT work... The media readers function ok. I removed it and installed an old (10 year old) floppy and it works like a champ so the motherboard is not in question. I have been building computers since the late 70's so my abilities are also NOT in question. Want a floppy? look for an old one somewhere or just buy a USB floppy. This one is not worth the trip to the trash can.

This is my second purchase of this drive. The first one died for some unknown reason after 3/4 years of use. Ultra seems to have improved the design on the new unit. Easy installation - plug & play.

Shipped quick looks nice, floppy drive works fine. I cannot get the card readers to work at all and there is inadequate documentation to help me troubleshoot the problem. Will likely be returning this drive.

There are still times when you need a floppy drive for diagnostics and this drive works well and gives you the added fetures of multiple media ports. I have purchaed 10 or 12 of these drives and all have worked well. One of the drives had a clicking noise that was very faint, but the unit seemed to work fine. If you are looking for a floppy/Media Reader, I highly recommend this unit.

I bought this item just to have a floppy drive if anything should happen and the card slots are a great addition. The card reader picks up the card quick! Installation was a breeze.

I bought this drive to replace my old floppy drive. It would not read the memory card from my digital camera, so I returned it. Still it would be a good upgrade from a basic floppy drive.

I just installed this unit in a newly built PC that is running a 64 bit Windows 7 BETA. It went in without a hitch and everything worked Perfectly. I turned it on and the hardware was recognized immediately I checked the floppy and the card reader.......Perfect

Takes up a lot of letters, but is worth the money. Works well, I use it for the sd slot. No problems hooking it up either.
