VANTEC SF6025L 60mm Case Fan

Comments: After obtaining the loudest CPU fan on the planet (I'm prepared to wager on this) for months, I bought this fan to replace it. It's quite quiet and I can now sleep with the laptop or computer on. :)My old fan's bearings had been completely shot due to the fact I originally mounted it upside-down on the heatsink by mistake. This brought on all of the dust and debris in my case to get lodged in the heatsink and sooner or later impeded the fan's spinning. When I lastly figured out my difficulty (what a fire hazard, oops! ;) ) it vastly enhanced my computer's overall performance. Even so, the bearings had taken a beating, and my Lian-Li case now sounded much more like a jet engine than a laptop. It vibrated so significantly that it truly shook the front panel of my case to bring about added noise (once once again, note that this is a really high top quality case). I just got applied to it, but right after a couple of months I couldn't take it any longer.I located this fan on NewEgg and it came a day early. I smiled ear to ear when I couldn't even hear my personal computer over the A/C across the room. On best of this, my personal computer hasn't run so properly in rather some time, it's wonderful what a healthful fan can do for your laptop or computer! This post is also a warning to absolutely everyone: If you construct your personal computer make confident your cpu fan is blowing OUT not IN ;)

This fan is genuinely quiet and pushes decent air. It's far better in each respects than a P***flo 60mm low-speed fan, although only by a tiny bit. none

Comments: Superb product by Vantec. Runs extremely quietly. I bought this to replace the humming bush bearing kind fan in my DVR. This one particular runs very quietly and best of all it is ball bearing variety, which indicates it is more dependable and will have substantially longer quiet life.

VANTEC SF6025L 60mm Case Fan
Comment:
Fan is considerably quieter than my old CPU fan. With some two" screws it fits on older style Athlon heatsinks very nicely. Feels like it's pushing a lot more air than the older fan as well and the CPU temp verifies this. It's taller than some other fans, but that's in the specs so it's not a real con. If you don't have longer screws then you will want to modify this fan in order to get it on a processor heat sink. You can use a bigger drill bit, but be careful when you do because the fiber fan housing will crack apart if you drill to quick or apply also considerably pressure.

Bought to repace the (loud) stock exaust fan on my micro-atx case and added a second for intake - you can't hear a issue from either 1. Didn't have to mess with adapters or dampeners to stop "buzzing" either. Each move a strong quantity of air for becoming so quiet, and hold my program plenty cool, despite the fact that it's not particularly demanding or overclocked or something 񢠬+ Venice cpu; on-board graphics only). It usually bugs me when you pay as much to ship something as you do to buy it, in particular when it's anything as tiny and light as a 60mm situation fan. Applied to be my biggest (well, far more like only) complaint about NewEgg; now they've began minimizing rates when you get a number of things, which nonetheless isn't perfect, but is an improvement. If you will need a quiet 60mm fan then this is your guy.

I am working with it to aid clear out heat in my Thermaltake Lanbox lite. It sits above Gpu and helps move air. Its operating I am finding a small bit of unnecessary noise , could be vibrations. will try some anti-vibe mounts to quiet. not a negative price tag for a tiny fan

Comments: These fans are super quiet. They get there by means of incredibly low RPM's. I can barely really feel the volume of air moving against my hand when they are on. But they do specifically what I purchased them to do. Move some air quietly.

Comments: This fan does what its job is. According to my Asus Probe, its RPM is up to 3000 pretty much all the time. Doesn't make a distinction in noise, can't hear it at all. Yet, I do notice a large distinction in my processor temp due to the fact it's correct subsequent to it. Stoddo’s difficulty is if you multiply 20dB by 4, you don’t get 20, you don't get 80 either, but still, anything in numbers tends to make a lot of noise. Go with the critical fans and the quietest. If you have a 60mm in the back by the processor, absolutely go with this fan.And as constantly, new egg is by far the very best.

a small quieter than the stock fan that came with my Tivo2 this only moves 12CFM air, and isn't as quiet as I had anticipated - I felt lots of air belching out of my tivo ahead of, but with this fan it barely comes out at all this seems to only be quieter mainly because it barely moves substantially air

I bought three of these fans for far more air flow in my Cooler Master Centurion 5, I staggered two fans on the side panel vent and cut of the corners of the other one to make it fit in the side air duct. All in all it lowered my CPU temp by four degrees and lowered my mobo temp by a whopping 13 degrees. Slightly louder than expected, but as far as 60mm fans this issue is whisper quiet. Rig - Asus A8N-SLI, FX-57, Enermax Liberty 620W, two BFG 320mb 8800's, Maxtor 300GB SATA, 80GB WD PATA, 40GB Seagate PATA,4GB A-Information Dual-Channel DDR, Soundblaster XtremeGamer, Sony DVD Drive, Lite-On DVD-RW, Sony three.5" Floppy, Coolermaster Centurion five case now with 5 fans keeping it as cool as a cucumber.

Comment:
Seems to be genuinely well built. The fan blades appear to have a sort of "floating" or "spring loaded" mounting to their frame, which I suspect helps maintain the noise level down (though not silent - 1 point off). It also blows a very good quantity of air based on sticking my fingers in front of it and comparing it to my old fan (the 60mm "stock" case fan that came in my CHENBRO PC40522-BK MicroATX Desktop Computer system Situation). Somewhat brief power wires. I had to run the wires in "mid-air" from the back of the case more than my uATX motherboard to get to the 3 pin speed handle connector. The wires on the original "stock" case fan were lengthy enough to run a clean correct angle down the side of the mobo and across the front to plug in. At least they were long sufficient to go about my CPU heatsink and fan with no touching anything. Paper lable on the fan blade assembly was applied off center - can't say if this will add any uneven "weight" that may well cause further bearing put on over time - I may razor blade the excess off one particular day when I have absolutely nothing superior to do, but it's not a large deal. I would purchase one more 1 of these fans (or far more most likely 80mm from the very same business) for "pushing" air into my case if it needed it, but I replaced the Chenbro 200W Energy Provide w/ a Athena Energy AP-MP4ATX45 ATX 450W PS which does a very good job of drawing air in and out of the situation given that it has two fans. Plus my mobo (PC CHIPS M871G V1.5C AMD Athlon XP Mobile 2800+ Socket 754 SiS 760 GX Micro ATX Motherboard/CPU Set) has a laptop CPU and a very good CPU/Heatsink fan so it runs fairly awesome currently. Install NOTE: I installed the fan with vibration absorbing felt bushings amongst it and the situation (the screws had been sufficiently lengthy adequate to accomodate this) a silicon gasket would work effectively also. PS: these are "self-tapping" screws, which suggests they cut their personal threads the 1st time you screw them in, so that is why they are "tough" or "hard" to screw in the initially time - but don't be tempted to use a power tool - do this by hand - it is also effortless to "get crooked" and "screw it up" - pun intended.

Comments: I did not like that the three wires to energy the fan came simultaneously attached to the three AND 4-prong adapters. I had to reduce the wires and solder them to an old set of wires attached to a diverse three-prong in order to plug the fan into my mobo. Aside from the pain of soldering and taping wires collectively, the fan workes great. Quiet, effective, easy to set up. Newegg shipping is leading notch, shipped in about 48 hours.

Comments: I bought this as a replacement fan for a TiVo, exactly where noise can be a significant situation.I installed it and believed I had hooked it up incorrect mainly because it had not come on...really it was running, but was so quiet I couldn't hear it at all.I would advocate this as an exceptional fan for use in circumstances exactly where you want to reduce noise.

Relatively low-cost. Comes with a molex adapter and long wires. This fan is quiet in the sense it doesn't have any mechanical noise. There isn't any humming or vibration that I can hear. However, the sound of airflow is audible from across the room. I knew from studying the critiques not to anticipate silence from this fan. Due to the fact I bought it to replace a noisy OEM fan in my HTPC I chose to get a fan controller at the identical time and I'm glad I did. Without the reduction in speed I can hear the airflow more than the sound of the Television, but slowed with the controller it is nearly silent and still flows adequate air for the application.
