Comments: Superb product! Those complaining about high pitch whine, you will need a fan gasket to isolate the motor noise. This is an almost inaudible fan. It works good!

Quiet and pushes a decent quantity of air. Excellent for the 780i mobo northbridge cooler upgrade. Double ball bearing and lifetime warranty. None so far. I applied this on my evga 780i and zip tied it to the heatsink so it would suck air up rather of down onto the gpu. Temp drops had been awesome for both my mobo and gpu. Sound is not completely quiet (what fan is?) but it is so significantly quieter than the stock mobo fan. That in it's self was worth the acquire.

Comments: Practically silent at about 2000 RPM and superb good quality construction. Makes the stock AMD fan sound like a helicoptor.

Comments: This fan is great for a low DB rig. It pushes a lot of air and keeps the noise down.

Fairly quiet. Audible at 100%, but barely so at lower speeds. Incredibly good price. Not a ton of air movement, but for a 60mm I'm not sure I'd expect anything much more than it does. I run two of these off an ASUS motherboard, working with the Q-Fan / Cool-n-Quiet controls for chassis fans, and can barely hear them at all on the "Optimal" setting. My Zalman case has a reputation for poor air movement, but two of there operating at a low speed are performing enough to keep my case really cool.

Quiet. Most 60 mm fans sound like jet engines. I replaced the fan on my evga 780i motherboard--which is Noisy! I don't know if the Vantec is precisely an 80 % reduction in noise as claimed, but it is a Major reduction in noise. Now there is a soft shshshshs, not totally quiet, but a Big improvement. All the other fans in my case are quiet (noctua, panaflo, and so on) and it was annoying to have 1 cheapy spoiling the silence. No cons. But it is twice the thickness of the stock fan, so if it needs to go in a narrow space, premeasuring may possibly be a excellent notion. Also think about how you will mount this fan. I put mine on my stock northbridge cooler. I used smaller zip ties to strap it down tight. I could not get to the holes nearest the motherboard since a enormous Ninja 2 Scythe heatsink was in the way, but that doesn't seem to be causing any complications, no vibration.

Good replacement for my 680i northbridge screamer. It pushes less air, but it's really quiet and sufficient to cool the northbridge. It only works on a full 12V, it's not controllable to works at slower speeds. That doesn't genuinely matter, since it's barely audible at 12V, particularly next to all the other case fans.

I setout on a project to create a Windows Media Center PC. Although the PC worked fantastic, the noise was a bit distracting while watching Tv and movies. The OEM XEON fans sound like a helicopter. I bought a couple of passive heat sinks here at NewEgg in order to lessen the noise in my machine. The noise ended. Even so, my processors overheated due to not enough air movement across the heat sinks. Immediately after reading the reviews on this product, I decided to acquire a couple. Right after installing the fans onto the passive heat sinks, the CPU’s are running cool once more. In-fact, the CPUs now run about 5 degrees cooler that when employing the stock XEON fans. The fans make absolutely no noise. As soon as I replaced my power supply with an ANTEC silent energy supply, I can not even tell that the machine is on. It is unbelievable to have a dual XEON method that is entirely silent! Furthermore, the fans are controllable by the motherboard when working with the three pin motherboard connector. I’ve had the fans installed for about a month now and have not had a single difficulty with them. Utilizing two of them in an HTPC. They work...too loud on full speed, so I'm toning them down with a fanmate. No weird whines or whistles, just lots of rpms. A small quieter would have been nice. Appear like superior little fans.

Comments: It's a fairly quiet fan, but it's still louder than every little thing else in my case. I put a rubber grommet among the fan and the case but it nonetheless makes a bit of a whine.

Not any louder than my stock case fan, but superior airflow. The sound it does make is the air itself moving and not the fan whining, which is nice. Is it normal to have to guess which direction a fan is going to blow when you install it? I got lucky not to have to spend five minutes flipping it about. Replaced the stock case fan on my MSI Wind PC employed as a constantly-on residence server. It tends to heat up pretty effectively, and I couldn't even feel the air coming out with the stock fan. This one absolutely has greater flow.

Moves a fair bit of air. Whilst it's not a jet engine inside my HTPC build, it can absolutely be heard. I've decided to put a resistor in series to bring down the speeds to a quieter 2000 rpm from the present 2900 rpm.
