I create my own computer systems and run a graphics intense game (MS Flight Simulator).. The interior of the computer (dual Graphics Cards w/heat sinks, not fans), higher powered AMD64 x2 CPU, and so on.) gets hot! As a outcome, I have two Tornado Fans fitted to the case.. a 92mm "pusher" on the front and an 80mm "puller" at the rear. Both fans are on a Fan Controller so I can dial them down (speed and noise) when performing low demand computing (e-mails, web surfing, Word, etc.). I crank them up when "flying" in the sim. Since I wear headphones, the noise is not an problem.. nor are the Tornados as loud as the engines on the sim planes. I am going to add a third 80mm Tornado on the side of the case, straight over the CPU fan/heat sink.. give it a bit additional aid. I've under no circumstances had a heating problem with just the two Tornados, the third will be "cheap insurance coverage"! ummmm.. None. Persons complain about the noise (read the warnings in the adverts!), a fan controller permits both speed and noise management and is, in my opinion, a "Must Have" with two or three Tornado Fans. (if for no other reason than to keep the CPU case from being blown off the table!). The Tornados are, by far, the ideal Case Fans for the income. The average computer could in all probability get by with a single, "standard" exhaust fan. A "Moderate" Gaming Personal computer is effortlessly handled with two controllable Tornado fans. Quad Cores, Higher Demand graphics/gaming might want 3 controllable Tornado fans, especially these with 700Watt+ PSU's that only have an "average" CFM 120mm fan. The third Tornado more than the CPU that's "pushing air" into the case must assist to force much more air thru the PSU.

it's a pure "tornado" power , just as advertised. Ok here's my expertise with it : I have 2 4870x2's crossfired .. and 1.6v going on to my NB ( BlackOps mobo sucks a LOT of volts when you OC a quad core on it .. at least mine does , and it works fine...) so with a stock cooler on NB I couldn't run any game at all - temps would go more than 67-70 beneath complete-complete load. then I swaped that monster ( Vantec) - 37-40 at idle , 42046 under full load .. a 30c temps drop _o . It is LOUD , and i imply LOUD , and no option for inbuild fan manage - a undesirable thing ok , I will need some advise on what fan controller I must get ... preferably the one particular that already been tested to operate with this monster ( I attempted zalman fanmate two , but it doesn't perform )

It moved a lot of air for two minutes? Inexcusably loud when it worked, which was all of about 2 minutes. Plugging the fan into the motherboard seemed to bring the noise down some, but then I began to smell the unmistakable odor of burnt electronics. Two pops later and this sucker literally went up in smoke. It got so hot that it burned my hand when I was taking it out. Wouldn't obtain once again, and wouldn't even bother with returning it for a refund. Cest la vie~

It pushes some crazy amounts of air and does almost everything it says it would without a hitch. It's loud. Even though I knew ahead of hand that it would be, I just didn't count on just how loud it would be. Even attached to a fan controller it was fairly loud at the lowest setting. This issue is quite strong. I decided to attempt it on an 80mm slot in my side panel on my aluminum case. In testing, I swear I believed the panel was going to take off if I didn't hold it down.

I went from a 5050e, x2 250 and an x4 630. I thought I had a nice Hybrid cooling setup till I place my Phenom x4 965 in, and then the ambient temps went from 27-31c + to 44-47c + then at load it went to 54c + (not a fantastic issue!). So I decided to re-do the entire air flow in my case (CM Centurion). In the course of action, I wanted to shift air at the maximum attainable. I order two of these Fans based on their RPM and Maker. My Temps are now 34c (Ambient) and 41c (Full load), a single of the fans is Pulling air in by means of a filtered front (again Custom) the air is channeled by way of a 120 and then by way of one of these. One particular 120mm stock on the back and two extractors on the side (one of them being, one of these). So 10-12c off Ambient temps and the same at load.Really satisfied, as for the noise (see below) Noise? yes, sounds like a server, or a Vacuum cleaner, for me I can simply tolerate it (I write and compose music) that's why I have a pair of decent Sony headphones. If your systems on a table/desk you WILL really feel the fan vibration, if it is on the floor I suspect the floor (depending on surface) will absorb some of it. You can also sound proof your case (like other individuals have). So yes, Noise.. Lots of noise I've been a Tech for 32+ years, Laptop or computer and Servers all make noise I am well accustomed to it (and I write a lot of Trance/Techno so...) the decision for me was Phenom Meltdown in the summer ࿿c - 104c North West California) or noise and a super cooled case and CPU. The power of these Fans is (Excuse the pun) Phenomenal!! Bear in mind these will cool every little thing inside the case, My Video card (GT 240) temps have dropped a lot as well!, If you know your stuff setting two-three of these up, positioned properly provide a total cooling for everything inside your infant ..er..case I mean. The Case is COLD to the touch (it's about 80c outdoors).Properly worth the cash! Newegg prompt, skilled service and parts are the greatest, I'm a veteran T****d***t purchaser nonetheless in the past 2 years Newegg is proper up there as an equal, the combo offers, the quantity of parts, the rapid shipping (I ordered Sunday they came Tuesday morning). If you will need serious cooling and can't afford water cooling, shoot for these!!

Did see a noticeable drop in temp when this fan is in use. Moves A LOT of air. Seriously loud. Yeah I read other men and women's reviews here, but I truly didn't anticipate it to be this loud. Sounds like a Jet receiving seriously to take off. With a fan controller, this fan will be even greater. Otherwise, if you don't thoughts hearing that your tower may take off at any moment, get this fan!

TO ALL Folks Obtaining Trouble HOOKING THIS TO A 3 PIN FAN CONTROLLER!!!!! there are still three primary wires extruding from this fan....step1. Cut the conectors off of the ends of these wires. Stage two. purchase a 3 pin extension cable ဃcents) Step three. Cut the male finish off of the extension cable. Stage 4. match the cable colors and splice them together. Stage five. plug it in to your fan controller and vola!!! Yes i have completed this and yes it will allow all 12 watts to be controlled!!! and yes it is safe !!! Sombody else on right here suggested the modded roswill cable that doesnt permit the total 12 watts pass by means of! THIS Method Performs THE WAY IT Really should!!!!! I had to splice wires to get it to work with a fan controller. its not challenging to splice cables just make sure there are no exposed wires(cover with electrical tape) as to not damage other equiptment in your case!!!

THIS Issue SUCKS! In a good way, tends to make a great upgrade for my servers Its no four wire, but my servers run in a closet- I like the fans on 100% 24ǝ and it has a tach output so my mobo can e-mail me if one drops below threshold Great Fan, get it if you like loud fans that do their job.The issue has some weight to it too, does NOT really feel low cost.

This issue does what it says. Moves a lot of air and solving my overheating issues when I'm operating CPU or GPU intensive processes. I supposed if you poked your self in the eyes even though reading the element exactly where it's known as the "tornado". You could complain about its noise. Toss in a speed controller and quiet points down if you like. It's essentially not near as loud as men and women make it appear. When I initially place it in, I had a speed controller on its way. Ran it with no for a few days. Didn't bother me a bit. I just like to conserve energy when I don't need to have points operating at max.

This fan moves alot of air and upon a thorough inspection of the item description I can see that it does everything that it is supposed to. Im not 1 that normally cares about the noise coming from my computer but these fans have 2 points that make them a undesirable choice for me.1. Fan Cannot be controlled by a regular 5.25 fan controller with 3 pin connectors. The controller can read the rpm of the fan but not control it.2. Ive been operating on my computer system for a couple of hours now and I have three of these in the situation. My ears are beginning to hurt and the only way I have discovered to make that quit is either to leave the room completely or put earbuds in without having playing anything in them. This fan would be excellent if you need to use it in a server or otherwise a computer that you would not be near for any length of time longer than about an hour and a half. It would also be excellent if the rpm could be controlled but from what I understand that is impossible to do with no modifying some of the gear I have. Oh properly thats why I purchased 3 more different fans that I knew would operate.

Air Flow! This is the major reason to get this fan is to get the highest airflow. I have two 80mm Vantec's blowing appropriate on my SLI cards and one particular 92mm blow hole blowing out the top of my laptop or computer. Works like a charm I can retain every thing below 30C LOUD!Well you can' have a single devoid of the other. Ideal point to do it pair this fan with a fan controller. Honestly if you got chicks at your lan property the noise will most likely impress them, and these will blow their clothes off!
