Have them running total bore in the middle or a server case giving forced airflow for the drives and PCI-e cards.. four fans, over 300CFM airflow.. quite cool technique.. motherboard is normally reading about 35 degrees. none foam on the inside of the situation and instantly behind the situation remove a very good chunk of the noise.. creating this quite acceptable at 100% for me

Moves a TON of air. Seriously, retain fingers, arms, legs, smaller animals away from this thing! I know, I know...It mentioned how loud it is. But until you actually HEAR it you truly have no thought. Crazy loud, to me unbearably loud. You want air movement and are not concerned with loud then this is your fan.

It moves a lot of air, and performs great to maintain my OC'ed technique cool. Noise - This fan sounds like a hair dryer. Do NOT count on a quiet fan, even when its turned to a lower setting. Just want it was quieter is all, but for the gamer or overclocker, its a strong fan. Very best way around the noise is headphones.

Wonderful airflow! I have this pointed towards my two high-finish graphics cards and this fan drops them 20-25C when at full energy, which is extraordinary. Would be best for server space exactly where noise doesn't matter. As mentioned by others, nobody could go full energy and nonetheless be in a position to hear something... ever. These are Very loud, and you possibly can't grasp just how loud they are till you are really hearing one. YOU Require A FAN CONTROLLER WITH THIS FAN! Otherwise you will go deaf!

Exceptional fan!Installing this fan dropped my situation temp by three- 4 degrees C. In truth, I am getting a second a single mainly because I like the very first a single so considerably. The noise is not virtually as bad as some of the critiques would have you believe. Yes, the fan makes noise. But it is a lot less than the noise from a tiny room fan or something of the sort. I am capable to play my games, speak on Ventrillo, and so on with no 1 commenting about hearing anything. This is not a silent fan, but it isn't a roaring monster either. The fan and its casing is much thicker than a regular case fan. My laptop or computer (Alienware) was developed with mounting clips, rather than screw mounts, to facilitate switching out of fans, but the clips aren't really long enough to lock into spot on this giant. It nonetheless functions and holds in spot, but it is rather big.

Moves some severe air. Well built and sturdy. Cools like crazy. When it is plugged in as an exhaust fan it tends to make my intake fans spin it sucks so a lot air. Added this fan and a Scythe ULTRA KAZE 120 as exhaust fans and it dropped my cpu temp from 37c idle to 32c with my Zalman 9700. Superb cooling fan I knew it would be loud, but wow.... this issue genuinely does sound like a shop vac or a hair dryer. I believed people were just being pansies. The three pin connector is just a yellow wire for RPM detection. It's powered by a molex connector. I want an adapter to use my fan controller to slow this beast down. I had to unplug it just before I went nuts. If you want some critical cooling or don't sleep in the same space as your computer this is a great fan. If you just plug it in it will run at full speed and you can hear it if you are in the bathroom on the other side of the house with the door shut. You will most absolutely want a fan controller for this crazy s0b.

Moves tons of air. These will cool your laptop or computer down in a very good. Great for intake, outtake or CPU.If you want maximum air cooling, this is it. You can't get much better than this unless you goto water. These are loud. Not a difficulty if you have them in a server room. Not suggested for workstations though as it annoys some users :)I didn't take anything off for this. Don't buy these if you want silent! Purchase these if you want excellent air cooling and don't thoughts the noise (ie. Server in a diverse place, etc) Dangerous. I accidentally clipped my finger on one particular though carrying out a hot-swap. Cut me good. Blood everywhere.

the fan pumps so considerably air, but it is also extremely loud. i bought this with a fan controler. I replaced my cpu heatsync fan with it. I overclocked my core two duo e7500 from 2.93Ghz to four.31Ghz. the cpu at full load hits a 70C max. Idle 40C The fan is loud, also a bit huge as well. i had to move my hdds to set up 2 of them in my situation. Yes its loud, and that is expected ahead of purchasing a fan with such a high air flow rate. If u obtain a fan controler even though, u can make these fans silent, then when u want to play some crysis and OC your videocards, u can turn em up.

Oh my, I bought 2 of these fans... I didn't honestly consider they would blow so much air! The air it blows, you'd feel I have a internal mounted hair dryer inside. No joke! They blow huge amounts of air! I can turn off all my situation fans and it'll still spin my 180mm fans from suction! There in my case utilized as exhaust fans. There unbelievable! Noise, but have no fear... noise canceling headphones are here! I7 920 two.6 ghz @ three.0ghzEVGA E758-TR motherboardOCZ Platinum 6GB DDR3 1600EVGA GeForce GTX 285 2GBXCLIO STABLEPOWER 850W supply

These fans are 80mm server grade fans which will move a heck lot of air. If your desktop is in a room with just you wearing a headphone, then go for it. I am making use of a Lian Li situation which has a 80mm fan vent at the leading. Have placed it there.I have connected this fan to the motherboard fan receptacle (the 3 pin connector) and it revs up only whilst gaming (when the GPU and CPU are each working at total speed). The fan is audible but not a nuisance when not gaming. None. make confident that the amount of generated noise it taken into consideration when acquiring this awesome fan.

Functions great. Pushes alot of air I put these and Scythe "ULTRA KAZE" 120's in my situation and everything stays cool even though SLI'ing games at Max settings. Loud, but that is to be expected with a fan that pushes this much air. Remember that they are double thick, I just about ran into a problem where the fan wouldn't clear, but it did just barely.

For the value it isnt a terrible option But you'll have to deal with extreme noise pollution. This tiny guy sounds like a leaf blower, which can be expected i suppose for the sort of CFM it pushes, though i actually didnt notice the impact i was hoping for on cooling.

Folks who say that this is SOOO LOUD, listen. It is semi-loud...if you have no music playing, no conversations or something. IF you do something to make noise, the fan blends right in. In fact, the loudness of typing of a LOGITECH USB 1000 keyboard is nearly as loud as this fan. Excellent Acquire!

Moves a ton of airDropped CPU temp 10CFeels incredibly strong Like everyone says, its loud, slightly quieter than a hairdryer I sorta purchased this fan by error, its awesome, but also loud for me. It does sound like a hairdryer or a server cabinet, but it also keeps temps really actually low. I'm trying to determine among a fan speed controller or a various fan.Bottom line: Moves tons of air, makes tons of noiseWonderful for overclocking although!

So I purchased three of these and it was a horrible mistake. I wasted someplace around ุ, since they are sitting on best of my personal computer finding no use!So how does it get five star?Properly, these certainly push enormous air, the very best fan I have ever seen nevertheless, when I hooked 3 of them up, my residence sounded like a jet was on track for take off. I mean, I heard my computer system operating from the completely other side of my home (And I would say my property is average size). It shook my desk, it is crazy! If you want a fan to push air, this fan is for you!! Now, I really like loudness, my car is the loudest of its sort, but this, this is a entire new level for a personal computer! NewEgg Rocks, but Shipping Expense was a killer.
