ViewSonic 24" 1080p LCD HDTV VT2430

I was looking to purchase an LCD HDTV with full 1080p for the bedroom and to be used with a gaming console. I wanted to replace an old clunky Standard Definition TV and composite cables option available to me at the time. The free shipping advertised at the time seemed a bit misleading because during checkout the product didn't meet the requirements for free shipping. The product did arrive on time and working even though the box it shipped in had some dings. Still the HDTV was is a decent size for the bedroom under $400 and a swap PC monitor thanks to the VGA port. This should work great combined with a media centre. I like the option to mount it to a wall and really enjoy having a 24'' LCD display in full 1080p, I am using an HDMI cable I picked up at for cheap and it has really made my bedroom feel less crowded and my gaming experience better.

The clarity and sharpness of picture is great. Sound is great too. One small problem was viewing a movie on DVD and there was a sync problem. Other than that, I love this TV. It has given me some input as to what to look for in a larger screen. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Nice product, I will recommend it. Cons: sometimes slow when changing channels to show image, cable connection need more room if place against a wall. Pros: good picture and sound as TV, good resolution and video quality as a monitor. It's like two 15 monitors in One. Setup is just 20 minutes and works well with my signal from local cable picking all digital channels available. great resolution as a monitor. Be sure your video card support the resolution of this monitor.

I read tons of reviews on this product some good some bad and some that should be in outer space somewhere. Let me tell you from a picky consumer this TV is an excellent product for the money it looks great and has been running flawlessly for weeks. It is in my daughters bedroom and hung on the wall and is used quite a bit. Viewsonic has been making monitors for years and is famous for reliability. I would not recommend anything smaller for a bedroom especially if it is gonna be wall mounted.

One of the biggest sizes for the cost, GREAT picture, good sound, so easy to set up it basically sets itself up. I haven't found any flaws and I'm one of the gamers that has to have an HDTV that looks good so I can perform to my full potential haha. I can't get enough of this tv and now I have the biggest in the house!

I use this LCD TV as a TV and computer monitor. I like that in PC mode it behaves like a computer monitor so you don't have to worry about turning it on or off. The TV image is good too, though I have very basic quality cable. The remote control is retro style from the 80's but functions well. My only gripe is that I find it hard to justify the high price of 24 inch LCD TV over 24 inch computer monitor. I feel retarded paying extra for a little coaxial connection that lets me watch TV.

Great picture. The TV is very sharp on regular channels. Very good HD quality. The style is also nice. Good price for HD 1080p quality. Fast delivery. Plug it in and it played. Having a little problem linking up with my cable remote control. So I use two controls. Big deal!

This is my first LCD tv and i went with this one because it is just replacing the 19 inch in my bedroom. Shipped free. Limited viewing angles to the side, and brightness drops quite a bit when viewing below the TV.

I feel it's a very good product for the price point I got it at. It arrived damaged... bad. Called and got an exchange working in less than 5 minutes. Replacement received and damaged unit credited in 3 days time. Outstanding turnaround. Product is excellent and the speakers are not that bad considering the product is a SMALL tv or monitor - what do you expect? All the inputs you could need. Love this brand as well.

Great video quality. Onyl has one HDMI input but the component video works just as well for HD video for this size of a screen. I would recommend that you hook up some speakers to it so that way you can get the full effect with the 1080p picture.

I'm very happy with my purchase. Looks great as a computer monitor, console gaming monitor and TV. It's obviously not the top of the line, but its perfect for a bedroom tv. Sound is great and lots of good features. This was my first purchase from here and I would recommend buying from them to all sitting on the fence. Quick delivery right before xmas and who can beat that price?

Nice picture, limited viewing angle. The tuner is weak - I was able to get more channels using my analog TV and a converter box along with an un-powered antenna. Now I have to use an amplified antenna, and am getting less channels. But if you have a good signal, line of sight to the transmission tower, you will probably be OK. Menus are easy to use. The price at 250.00 was right though, especially for a 1080p picture. I don't know if you really need 1080p for a 24 inch set, but it's nice to have in case I use it as a computer monitor.

This was my first purchase of hdtv. The product works. I feel that it was well worth the price that I paid.Once I hooked up the Dvd player the the system works just great. I would recommend this hdtv to anyone who wants a system at a great price.I even recommended it to my co-workers

We purchased this before Christmas as a replacement for our old bedroom tv. Dispite all the other negative reports that I've read, this LCD HDTV works as advertised, with no problems with sound or picture. This product was well worth the money invested. I do however have a problem with mating up the comcast remote. But, that's more of an issue with Comcast, not Viewsonic. We purchased this for various reasons, Value for the cost, Features, and I've also owned Viewsonic monitors in the past. I've also purchased various items from TigerDirect, and have been very satisfied with their service.
