I did order it by mistake, but after getting it' I an so impressed by the picture quality on a pc that still has a vga ouput. Whoosh Gonna keep and enjoy it.

I use HDMI 1080p for my XBOX360 - I like the TV, very crisp - I would like to use it for my notebook monitor, but I can't do widescreen on my notebook external VGA. I am considering purchasing a new HDMI notebook just for this monitor. With my HP netbook external VGA at native resolution (1920x1080) the screen looked great, but was offset two inches to the right. I could adjust most, but not all, of it out. ViewSonic support says I need an updated video driver on my brand new netbook.

Viewsonic used to make outstanding CRT computer monitors. I bought this Viewsonic as a gift. I checked for damage at the store and watched it at home for a night to make sure I wouldn't have problems with it after driving three hours to a late Christmas. TV is stuck in boot loop. Blank, show birds, blank. Thanks Viewsonic for making me look like an idiot at Christmas.

Got this for my gf for Christmas. Plugged it into DTV HD box with HDMI cable and picture was stunning. Sound needs surround speakers. The day after Christmas tried to watch TV and it stuck in a startup loop. TV wouldn't turn on at all. Called manufacturer and they told me to return it to this website. Now I have to purchase another one and send the defective TV back for an exchange. Avoid the hassle of this and go to any electronics store to shop for your HDTV needs.

Seriously folks, I don't understand these reviews... I have to be the odd ball here and speak the truth. This TV does NOT compare to LG, SMSNG or SNy - I have to abbreviate because I can't use the product names. Bottom line - I took it back and got a SMSNG T240HD for $30 more and could not be happier. The quality on the VT2430 is subpar at best - the SMSNG was leaps and bounds better picture on the HD capability as well as the PC monitor performance. DO NOT PURCHASE this... spend a mere $30 more and get MUCH higher quality.

This is a very nice LCD and extreme value for a 1080p display. It's an attractive unit. No dead pixels, bright and vibriant colors. The HD tuner in this tv works great, I have a tower antenna that gets strong reception for nearly 20 channels, only a few are in 1080p but they look stunning. I use this primarily for my Xbox 360 & it doesn't disappoint. The response time is excellent, i notice very little ghosting with this, and I have it hooked up via VGA. My only gripe is the slight backlight bleedthrough on the edges mainly in darker scenes, but you can adjust the contrast and brightness in most situations to improve it and its not nearly as bad as some i've seen. The remote is very responsive, and the menu is very good. Speakers are good too. All in all very happy with this, much smarter to buy this with all it's connections and built in hd tuner, because i was going to buy just a simple PC monitor display for my 360.

Very good product, good crisp picture. My brother has a sony 22inch HDTV that he paid almost $500 for and mine looks way better, I love to rub it in his face. This proudct is exellent I would and anyone else would recommend it. It make playing viedo games and watching Blue Rays movie a 1000X better.

This is a great LCDTV especially for under 250! bright clean screen. No dead pixels. good sound. Easy menu for set up and operation. Nice looking unit .

I received the TV, (packaged very well), and was excited about setting it up before X-mas. To my surprise, it does not work at all. Will not power up! I called the technical services number and was told by computer to hold for 15 minutes. After a technician decided that it is defective, he told me that he could send me a new one, but he was out of stock! Sooooo, how long will it take? We'll just have to wait and see. So far I'm not happy at all. I have to send proof of purchase, after which he will send me a box to send it back, after which he will send me a new one. I'm guessing that it will take several months for this to happen. I'm going to stop payment on my credit card.

I should have bought 2. A great value for the price. I bought it for a Christmas gift and did not want to give it up. Lots of inputs, good sound and very good video quality.

At first I hooked it up to regular cable and was not too excited about the picture quality. Then I installed an HD converter box and was pleasantly surprised at the sharpness and quality of the images. Very satisfactory.

I bought this tv for my mother in the nusing home. It has agreat picture on basic cable. Easy to set up and program channels in and out. The only drawback is that the power and cable hook ups are facing down so I laid the tv face down on a soft cloth to hook up. GOOD VALUE

Great picture quality with features that are not yet even supported by our cable company, they do not yet have any channels that broadcast in 1080P . The built in speakers do a fine job for their size but I would add something better if I wanted

I use this for a monitor in security work and it has not let me down. Nice sharp images. About the same price as a 15 inch security monitors. My almost son in law Paul told me about this company and said they are great to deal with. This is now the first place I look for electronics

I bought this TV for my RV. I also bought a mount. I have had experience with View Sonic products in the past and they were wonderful TVs and Monitors. They are ruggedly built, and took a pounding on Corps of Engineers Hydographic Survey Boats. Many hour pounded by rough seas and 0 failures. This TV will see better service, but bumpy roads. View Sonic makes a rugged high quality product.
