A higher quality drive over some of the other slower models out there. Well worth the price if you aren't currently investing in a SSD yet, or if you need something fairly quick to complement your SSD. |

Two working good
Comment:
Currently using two of these, one for main and one for backup,not raid, maybe when a fresh install is in order i'll raid them, Packaging was good, going on three months of use so far, so longevity cant be commented yet but WD has never failed me. i still own an old 40 and 80GB working good on an old machine. |

Been using this drive for about 1 month and haven't had any problems at all with this drive. Window's 7 picked it up pretty quick. This drive is another reason why I only buy Western Digital drives. Great value, and great equipment. |

Picked two of these up on sale as part of the usual process of retiring older drives after a period of service to less critical storage.No issues yet and hope it stays that way.Got them at the sale price but prices will continue to drop and density increase as time goes by. |

Picked this item up in a recent sale, at the same price as the 640GB version, to replace my 640GB WD Black as my C: drive, and so far am pleased with it. The good points:- Pretty quick, i.e. benchmarks at the same speed as my 640GB WD Caviar Black.- Although not the largest drive around, it's enough for my current needs.- 5yr. warranty.... speaks for itself.- At the same price as the smaller version of the same drive, you gotta love that. |

Been running for about 2 weeks now, works excellent,my first WD HDD, performance is very good, my only complaint is it is louder then my old Seagate 160GB while Seeking,not terribly loud just a little louder no big deal, other then that its a good buy |

Awesome drive, recommend to anyone, didn't need the 1TB version of this and could use the savings so I bought this and is is REALLY fast, faster than my raptor 10k drives and alot quieter. The technology innovations on this make it shine and it has my 2 fave colours black n' silver looks real slick. This thing has a great warranty on it as well. This only downside is it could be cheaper and it's not a SSD LOL. |
Pretty fast drive with lots of storage, but not very quiet with its clicketing noise (seek noise) but it's faster, for a slower but quieter drive the green serie is the best
