I use this portion in a lot of computer I construct for other people today, in particular people on a spending budget. For a blue drive it is as quick as you will need it for workplace tasks and general usage. If you want quicker appear into Raptors, Blacks series, or RE3ǚ. None

by no means had a issue out of 1 of these No way There is a massive mound @ the landfill comprised of all the Seagates and Maxtors I have replaced with these WDs. Have not seen a negative WD yet, but I've only been repaing computers for about ten years, so one's bound to turn up sooner or later.

Nice hard drive for the cost. I've had no problems with it. Simple install, runs smooth and quiet. None The difficult drive was securely packaged, there was no way that it could bounce about in the box. If your looking for a modest tough at a reasonable value, this is a fantastic purchase. I would recommend this difficult drive and all Western Digital drives.

Awesome Value.SATA3GWestern Digital branded.Decent read/write speedsRapidly, two day shipping. No SATA cable included(I occurred to have a couple of spare ones laying around, so this was no biggie for me) Because I was on a budget, I had to keep my HD below โ, and this drive sure did the trick.A good brand and a very good cost, what additional could you ask for?I have owned many Western Digital products all through the years, and I gotta say, this is the finest bang for your buck.Due to the fact I have a 1TB Western Digital MyBook, I don't need a huge primary tough drive. This drive received a four.7 on the Windows Expertise Index.

The difficult drive came on the expected shipping date, wrapped perfectly in lots of bubble wrap. Put the hard drive in, and worked perfectly. The cost is wonderful for a 250gb drive. My computer system only recognized 232gb out of 250gb even although it can recognize up to 1tb, but that's fine. I'd acquire again!

Very good quantity of space, seriously. Who actually needs a terabyte? not me. I have about 70gb for itunes and 100gb for games(steam), the rest is for individual files and my modding files. not exactly priced accordingly, for about 15$ more i could have gotten a 500gb, and for 25$ far more for a terabyte Got my Starcraft II rig to be below 500$cpu: Athlon II 250 (O.C. 3.33ghz)ram: 2 gb OC 2200 mhz ramvideo: Asus CU core 5770 (small OC)rosewill case + 530 psu(gaming excellent + led)

Received as advertised. No disc, cables or mounting hardware. No cost shipping. None as but. What's this about a บ coupon? I've never received any coupons in the numerous years I have been obtaining exclusively from NewEgg. I guess I'll have to start off shopping around.

Great, quiet and rapidly-adequate drive. It works properly as an OS drive. What con? I use this in an HP MediaSmart EX475 hacked with Debian Squeeze GNU/Linux. Works nicely, holds a good bit of stuff.I think it transfers at about 67 MB/s, which is rapidly enough as a boot drive. There is faster, but it's quickly sufficient.

I don't use a lot of space so this unit is the fantastic size for me. It's no SSD, but a 20-25 second boot time in Windows 7 (To desktop) is just fine for me. I've in no way had a challenge with Western Digital drives. I may go for an SSD on my subsequent create but I'll have to wait for costs to drop. I could not use a lot of space but spending 跌 or so in hard drives makes me a little uneasy.

Electrically works, detects, and operates at expected speeds. Has a big range of cylinders, around 20Gb worth, that can not be formatted ... completely failing linear read tests.Steel casing cover came dented on the side. Defect from factory? Mishandled perhaps? Packaging did not indicate any abuse from UPS.
