Western Digital Scopio Blue 500GB 2.5" 5400RPM SATA 3Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:
none
Pros: tough little drive, withstands a good amount of g-force, extremely durable Comment:
I bought a few of the earlier models even this one and they are great product, this 500gb i did drop it twice during my computer repairs by accident, i always put it at the side but it's attached with a USB adapter but some how the USB cable attached to it got caught to something while i was moving computers around and I drop ped it on the floor it happened twice, thank god it's my item and not my customers items, well that drive survived the impact with no faults, and it still works great., now i built a new shelf to put my items on and i won't drop anything else ever again. |

Cons:
None.
Pros: Large capacity, decent price, quiet. Comment:
I bought this to put into my patriot box office. So far it has been fast enough to play all of the videos I have tried, although I haven't tried and HD videos. It has been working great so far. I have never had a WD drive fail. |

Western Digital Scopio Blue 500GB 2.5" 5400RPM SATA 3Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:
None that I'm aware of.
Pros: Western Digital drives are the most reliable from what I can gather. I never hear it, I never have overheating issues. Comment:
I don't have anything interesting to say. It works perfectly.I bought this to upgrade my laptop hard drive, and also so that I will have a second hard drive in case the first one fails. I think I might go back to the smaller hard drive and then use this hard drive in an external drive case for backup now that I'm going to stop using my laptop as a home/office/desktop computer (I just had to buy a dedicated home desktop computer). |

Western Digital Scopio Blue 500GB 2.5" 5400RPM SATA 3Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:
Maybe pricing... maybe...
Pros: Western Digital... enough said?PS3 compatibility Comment:
Well, got this drive as a replacement to the tiny one in comparison which was in the PS3 initially... I believe 60GBs. There was no compatibility issues when swapping out the old and putting in the new, just don't forget to format the thing first before putting it in. Gotta say, it's Western Digital, so it doesn't have the firmware issues like Seagate products.Guess pricing was one of my issues... as we see WD greens and blacks drop in pricing for desktop, it seems like little to none at all for the notebook drives... which is very disappointing.Good buy and would again if needed. |

I bought this to replace the hard drive in my PS3 that was becoming a bit small to hold all those data. It's all good, no stuttering, no lag and I now have about 467GB total of space on my PS3. |

Western Digital Scopio Blue 500GB 2.5" 5400RPM SATA 3Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:
None so far, except that the drive doesn't indicate that it is 5400rpm anywhere on it hehe. It does say that it is 500gb only
Pros: Reasonable Price, Size, Very Quiet. It's a Western Digital so you can't go wrong. Comment:
I bought this as a replacement for my PS3 as the 120GB wasn't cutting it anymore. After looking around I found this seemed to be the HDD of choice. It has slowed down the menu loading and some download titles on my PS3 but that's because the PS3 Slims now store the firmware on the HDD and not on the board anymore. |

Western digital quality and reliability is a plus. Would buy again if I needed another 500 gig drive.. Just wish you could get a terabyte model thats standard size |

Western Digital Scopio Blue 500GB 2.5" 5400RPM SATA 3Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:
none
Pros: Fast, cool, PS3 Comment:
Can't really complain. It's been used to upgrade a PS3 from 60 gigs to a monstrous 500 GB. Warning for similar use is that I had to format the drive to fat32 prior to installation and then reboot the PS3 from a USB key (explained at Sony support website). Since the upgrade there is no noise or heat issues, with the exception of the massive amount of space available there is no performance hiccups. It is 5400rpm but I did not want to deal with any noise/heat issues from a 7200rpm. |

Western Digital Scopio Blue 500GB 2.5" 5400RPM SATA 3Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:
Heat
Pros: PriceStorage spaceLow noise Comment:
I picked up one of these for my Patriot Box Office (PBO) and it works great. I can't comment on the speeds but it seems good enough for a storage drive. The price is still quite high compared to desktop drives but, if you can get it on sale, it's a very good deal for a 2.5" drive. There's plenty of storage space available for a lot of files and it's very silent as well. While using it in my PBO, I can't hear the drive at all.Only problem I really found was heat in an enclosed area. My PBO runs a little warm on its own but, with the drive installed, the unit can get rather toasty. No doubt it's due to the fact that there isn't a lot of ventilation on the PBO. So, just be aware (and just logically really), if you're using it in confined spaces without much airflow, it can get warm but it still performs very well. |

Cons:
none
Pros: low power, quiet Comment:
I got this for my portable HD to be used when travel to transfer photo. So the main concern is low power consumption that will allow portable device to last longer. But if you want speed then should go for those 7200rpm drive. The weight is also lighter than 7200rpm 2.5" drive. Perfect for portable devices. |

Western Digital Scopio Blue 500GB 2.5" 5400RPM SATA 3Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:
- Isn't 7200RPM- slightly slower, but not too bad
Pros: - Cheap: way cheaper than it used to be just a couple months ago- Great for making a mini external USB Drive- not too slow- Western Digital Quality Comment:
Great little hard drive to make a mini 2.5" external hard drive out of. Just pick up a 2.5" enclosure and you're set. A lot lighter than getting the traditional big 3.5" external hard drives that also require a power cable. |

-None Yet
Pros: -Price-Lots Of Storage Comment:
I picked this up to put in an external case. I am mainly using it for my WDTV HD for movies and music. I had only a 120GB before this the extra room is nice. I also have a TB drive on it, but I like that fact with the 2.5 drives you can run just off the USB for power. I also use it to transfer large files around. I have had no problems at all so far with this drive and would definitely recommend it. |
I bought this HDD for replacement of the original drive in my mid-2009 MacBook Pro. This is a very good product, fast and everything. But it's very loud and there's some kind of conflict with the Sudden Motion Sensor onboard my computer.Would buy again.
