Runs cool I was taken by surprise that WD's blue drives use 4k sectors (Advanced format). That is not in New Egg's description too. I was going to use it to upgrade my external enclosure, but the enclosure interface isn't Advanced drive compatible and I couldn't close the case since of the hight anyways. Good drive. Does what it claims that it does. Does not fit in 15" MacBook Pro. From my understanding, it will fit in the 17" MBP. I got it to fit in my 15" MBP, but its not mounted to the chassis. The drive is so massive that it takes the whole hdd cavity and sits there. Its fairly secure, but there are no shock mounts.
