Great Drive
Comment:
I installed this in my wifes Acer laptop. Installation was a breeze and it will be a long time before my wife fills this with her ancestry. In fact my Acer is also runing out of space and I am purchasing 1 for myself now. You can't go wrong with WD. I've used their 3.5's for years. |

Rock Solid WD Drive
Comment:
I have lost count of how many Western Digital hard drives I have installed over the last number of years but I have never had one go bad (there was one bad out of the box and WD replaced it within a week - it happens). Between my desktop system and laptops I currently have 6 active WD drives! This drive is in my Mac PowerbookBook and has been a solid performer since day one. Fast, reliable and quiet. Heck, the laptop's cooling fan is louder than the drive!! Video and music playback performance has never been a problem. I definatly swear by WD drives and not at them. Now if WD would bring out a 7200RPM 500GB version... |

Great Drive & You Can't Beat the Price
Comment:
I bought this to replace the nearly full and very slow 60GB HD in my Dell Inspiron 9300. I cloned the original drive to this one, swapped the drives, and was up and running as if nothing had changed. My laptop recognized the drive and the additional space with no problem. I like it so much, I'm buying another one as a spare. |

Fits Apple iBook G4.
Comment:
For anyone interested, I installed one of these in an iBook G4 (2004) to replace old 160G drive. Fits perfect, responds about same as 160G (Seagate), but doesn't get as warm. After one month of daily use, no problems to report. Can't beat the price. |

I purchased this item and spent many hours, and finally determined it was defective. No matter what I tried only 20% of surface, formatted before failure. Money was refunded but a lot time wasted. |

Put this drive into a Compaq R3240CA notebook to replace 60Gb unit. After going to the WD site to download the overlay program they offer, the installation of the drive was a snap. Windows XP installed flawlessly and recognized the full size of the disk. So far it is running well and is responsive. I am considering another one as an external drive for this machine. |
Doubled my storage for music and movie (anime) collection.Easy setup and cool running. BIOS still couldn't study the full 320GB, but I worked about that minor problem. If you can't get the BIOS to study more than 137GB, then partition the drive accordingly so that you can use all the obtainable space. Worked out just fine in my HP Pavilion hybrid. (HP Pavilion ZE5375/HP Compaq NX9010; 3.06GHz P4, 1GB Ӑx 512MB} DDR 266 RAM Corsair ValueSelect, NEC Optiarc AD-7590A DVD burner, And this drive {WD 320GB HDD})
