Quiet, maintain CPU temp around 49c. 4 pin connector for speed control. Fit different socket type and is a good design. not genuinely a con but i was obtaining high temps when initially installed. Then comprehend that i had to center it properly for it to sit flat on prime of chip and the difficulty was solved. I saw that a couple of people were complaining that they had been receiving high temps as i was and was going to return until i read the directions about creating sure it is centered ideal. Installed on my Phenom 9600 to replace stock fan which died from overheating.

Cools as it must on my OC'd E5200 none also numerous men and women appear at cpu temps. what they really require be concerned with are core temps. a cpu may possibly be at 30 degrees C, but the cores could be much larger.this keeps my core temps at around 40 idle and just shy of 70 beneath high load. i have a a 16% OC on my cpu, and with a certain freeze TIM it functions incredibly well...

The style is great and the air gets blown straight onto the processor. Difficult to set it on the process appropriate in the center. Heatsink is sort of modest. I'm getting a cooler with a bigger heatsink subsequent time.

I selected this cooler to replace the stock cooler on Athlon X2 240. CPU is only 65 watt so no copper necessary in this case. The main draw here was the orange UV Reactivity. The fan looks in particular sharp in conjunction with UV cathodes and is one particular of the only a single of its kind on the marketplace. Orange doesnt look as well-known as it was a few years back. The footprint is incredibly fantastic as opposed to some of the other orb style coolers. Im using on MATX just fine. The unit I received appeared to have some excess material exactly where the heatsink meets the heatspreader that prevents it from sitting flush. There was sufficient gap to fit thin tissue if the heatsink was laying on the spreader. For most individuals this would have meant returning the unit. I employed 2000 grit, buffed the surface and re-anodized. I DO NOT recommend anyone ever sanding an aluminum heatsink with out re-anodizing because aluminum oxidizes in the open air. The Aluminum Oxide will wreak severe havok when it comes to electronics. Sanding and polishing copper is fine. Anyhow, the heatsink is now anodized black (which would have been much more desirable than the matte hardcoat). I cant really complain. For a 13.00 heatsink is looks nice and serves the objective. Only other factor was the package had cracked and some of the vanes were slightly bent. Probably due to an overzealous packer. Not the type of thing I ever expect out of Newegg, this is an extremely uncommon occurrance. Whilst the unit I received had a slight manufacturing defect, all in all this was a fantastic bargain. I would buy this product once more in the future regardless. For 13.00 you arent probably to find something like it. And like I stated ahead of this is one particular of the couple of remaining orange UV reactive products out there.

Fits the motherboard good. Not that loud. Quiter then the stock fan.(intel) Uncomplicated to set up on the E6600 runs around 43C like the ring can get to the CPU less complicated then push pins.for beneath 20.00 with cost-free shipping would buy again, if necessary another one particular. FINS BEND Uncomplicated.would be good with a light on it Fast shipping from NEWEGG. really like the paper that was in the box and NOT the peanuts that get all more than the yard. Will update again on fan should there be troubles or something occurs. Excellent so far!!!

None seriously. Negative heatsink. Didn't maintain my pc a lot cooler than stock.Pushed my ram to the side, so i couldnt allow assymetric dual channel. It was a discomfort to install it on intel, I had to take it apart and fold the clamp in order for it to function.Fan was not rapid sufficient. Need to have produced some cooper pipes on it.

Dropped my idle temps by about four degrees, total load temps by ten degrees or so. PWM fan control, quieter than amd stock cooler. Fit perfectly on my am2 socket. None so far. :) UV orange fan looks very excellent and matches my UV orange cable sleeves.

Keeps my Athlon X2 4850e at 23C idle and 29C load.Quiet PWM fan.Quite easy AMD socket install. The intel push pin style seemed inexpensive. Aluminum fins bent quickly. Covered 1 RAM slot on my M3A78-T (however, I was employing Patriot Viper memory, a standard profile will almost certainly be a tight fit.) Orange fan looks cool below my blue LED setup. Applied Tuniq TX-2 thermal paste. Installed in full tower case with a lot of airflow.

I installed this cooler with each other with Arctic Silver on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+. It hovers around 1700RPM, so quiet your HDD is possibly louder. Keeps temperature awesome. Also, if you've got additional area in your case sideways (LxW) than vertically (H), this might be the suitable cpu cooler. With the rebate, this item is ridiculously cheap. I'm certain there are greater coolers out there for additional dollars, but half the entertaining of developing your personal program for me is to cherry-choose all the finest performing, cheapest parts Newegg has to provide. black plastic mounting clips created me nervous, could effortlessly damage cpu or mobo capacitors if you slip or poor handling through mounting. Although IMO this cooler is fine for mild temperature, effectively ventilated systems, I would want a greater CFM airflow rating & O/S temp monitoring utility if you are a overclocker, calculating Mersenne primes in the background while operating Crysis. Be certain and comply with Newegg's manufacturer link to AMD's or Intel's website see the the accurate thermal operating envelope for your cpu. Some cpus have much decrease max temp ceilings than others. For instance, AMD 4850e maxes out at 62'C, but my old Athlon Thunderbird cpu can virtually boil water at it 95'C max temp rating.

Its superior than stock, and the lapped heatsink surface covers the whole processor, exactly where intel stock does not.For temps study other thoughtsThe bracket is uncomplicated to use and powerful. It barely fit , with an Apevia 680W PSU above it on a P5N-D mobo. I managed to get it to fit, but 1 of the AMD retention clips is pressing fairly firmly against my PSU fan grill. It fits, but it took a tiny force. Ive only had it operating for a half an hour so the Arctic Silver hasnt completely set in but, the Specs:Asus P5N-D MoboE8400 @ stock IDLE: 42-45 LOAD: 57-59Bought this as an alternative to intel stock. These are roughly 2 degrees lower. The Compound may well need to be reapplied due to the wrestling match I had with it attempting to make it fit with out breaking anything. So far, it seems greater than stock, but only by a couple degrees if any. This shouldnt be applied as an overclocking heatsink. Grab an HDT series as an alternative.

Currently runing my x2 4600 at 32C Not overclocked however my last fan was at 55C idle when overclocked. Tried ocing with this factor at keeps it at 40C idle and 53C underload but thats operating this sucker at 2.9. All I gotta say is awesome item. Looks Excellent. Thanks newegg. The heatsink is as well small its like it was just made for INtel when I installed it I had to move it a tiny so it would remain on the middle. See my other Thoughts When I initially booted my pc my temps were at 69C so i knew anything was incorrect the factor is I place thermal compound on my cpu initially effectively as I stated ahead of the heatsink is small so the compound went outside the cpu causing heat to spread rather of focusing on the heatsink. But that was my Fault though. Make Confident you pay attention what your carrying out with this CPU FAN.

Keeps the cpu awesome and it essentially looks excellent in an Antec 1200, in spite of the blue led fans and this is orange. Kinda matches the racing stripes on the Antec 850W Power provide. None that I can think of I was mainly hunting for a cpu heatsink/fan that would fit in any situation. Most of the ones I saw I thought had been much also tall. However, I ended up buying the Antec 1200, and it looks like there is a lot of extra room for the taller fans. That stated, this one particular seems to keep the cpu pretty dang awesome. It idles at about 35c and I have never seen it over 52c. Can't complain so far, but I haven't OCed it however. We shall see.

Wonderful little heatsink, looks like a Zalman when you're installing it. The mounting bracket is super effortless to install, and mounting the heatsink to the bracket is pretty straightforward as effectively. A lot much less painful than your typical Zalman, sadly adequate. Relatively quiet if you trim it down to ᡂvdc, but even @ the complete 12vdc it's not poor. The cooling power is ok for most CPUs, but don't expect to keep a 95w TDP processor happy, especially if you're dealing with a quad-core. For 65w TDP and lower, you should be fine, IMHO. Also, this does *not* come with a speed controller, so you either have to roll your own (which is simple) or acquire a single separately. Utilized this in a Lian-Li Pc-Q07 Mini-ITX situation (which is amazing) and there was a lot of space for the PSU and this heatsink/fan. Once more, don't count on to maintain your high-finish procs content, but anything outdoors of that and you really should be fine.PS - Minus 1 egg for cooling power & no speed controller. ;p

The install system is so basic its astounding. No screws, no brackets to attach to the heatsink literally push the 775 bracket on your motherboard and push in four pins and wala install in much less than a minute! This fan is kind of loud, i applied arctic silver with this and i can hear this more than all the other fans in my situation, which are 3 speed antec fans and are on low speeds. This is a unclocked "internet" personal computer. The fan does not light up, its a shame it looks so stylish but it does not light up, the fan looks UV Reactive though. This is a definite get for anybody who needs a uncomplicated however efficient cooler for their 775 processor.

Good aesthetics, affordable, low clearance for smaller circumstances (like the Cooler Master Elite 360 I used it in). Whenever it's on the fan makes a high-pitched noise that's ideal described as either a whistle or a shriek. It's not loud, but it's a truly irritating pitch.Like other critiques have mentioned, the fins are extremely flimsy. They bend simply, though they usually bounce back into their original positions. It's not desirable, but not particularly annoying or worrying. In the course of installation I felt like I was going to break the heatsink, bracket, or potentially the CPU. The directions direct you to tilt the cooler sideways, attach a single of the clips, and then push the other side down and attach the second clip. It calls for a important amount of pressure, and it's created worse by the pliability of the fins. I bought this as an inexpensive cooler for a low budget develop. I had most of the components I required stored up and I didn't want to devote a lot of income on the rest. This looked like a very good selection as far as value and testimonials.I seriously like computer systems to be as quiet as feasible, but even setting that aside the pitch of the fan is incredibly annoying. Soon after it's installed the pliability of the fins and the fright of clipping it into the bracket aren't substantially of an concern, but the noise is. It could just be my unit, I'm not certain, but I also have no concept how to fix it. Noise could not be 1 of your major concerns, but if it is, I advocate spending a bit a lot more high-priced.
