I utilized this for an older 939 create given that the stock cooler sounded like a smaller jet. Whisper quiet, 4PWM fan and a solidly bulky heat sink. Fits fine on common mobo bracket or use it's built in a single for the newer designs. Excellent cost to efficiency. N/A

Low cost but fantastic airflow. It looks great too! It is extremely wide, may not fit all boards. I couldn't be happier. The installation was effortless but if my RAM was any closer to the CPU it wouldn't fit. I like that you can install it on an Intel with the retention clips, generating it substantially much easier to take away than taking out the push pin mount. Readings in Core Temp in no way get above mid 30s on my C2D 4500. Going to install a DC Pentium 6700 to day and I expect it to be really easy and just as cool.

Looked cool in my case with the blue leds. Pretty quiet. I bought this when it was on sale right after the rebate and shipping, I only paid ผ. Well I put this on my AMD Athlon 5000+ 64 X2 due to the fact the original fan I bought was loud. It worked fine for about a month and a half, I did notice in everest it was running hotter than when I had my original fan on it. This laptop was my first dual core I have ever built, and I didn't comprehend 45c is hot for a dual core. Nicely right after about a month and a half my computer began randomly shutting down and restarting, so i knew it was either the mobo or the cpu was running hot, I asked about and identified out my cpu should be about 30c, so i place my old fan back on and it has not restarted in a month. I place this in my media center which is a single core sempron 3100+ and its been running good its the excellent fan because its so quiet. Essentially stick to the rule you get what you pay for on fans. I ended up purchasing a Thermaltake cpu fan for my dual core. THIS FAN IS FINE FOR SINGLE CORE BUT DO NOT Put THIS ON A DUAL CORE PROCESSOR.

I currently reviewed this, but i forgot some particulars. My idle temps are 12c (idle) and 30c complete load. My processor is a 65w athlon x2 5400+ running at three.14 ghz. Just before I had this cooler, my temps were about 18c and 50c in the exact same environment. Certainly worth it. The fins are kinda bendy, so be cautious not to mess them up. Can't keep up if I OC my proc to three.2 GHZ and play crysis... (stock is two.eight), but what can I expect for ม? And how extended can you seriously play crysis? (Temps get up to about 60c, which makes me nervous) When I stated four or 10 degrees earlier, I meant Celsius. Big distinction eh? It appears to work even greater now that the arctic silver has set up. ( generally use arctic silver )

This is the perfect cooler for a low-profile (half-height) circumstances, exactly where larger tower coolers won't fit. It performs quite nicely, keeping an AMD 4850e cool even with the really restricted airflow it gets. Just to give you an notion, it doubles as the only intake fan in the case, with only the PSU as the exhaust, and it's even turned down some to be silent. I guess technically that means it's keeping the entire Computer cool 񢵲e + 780G + WD Green 1TB + two sticks DDR2-800)!! The only con is that when working with a 4-pin (PWM) header you can hear the motor ticking - so either get rid of the 4th pin and run it off the motherboard with normal voltage regulation, or connect a fan controller between it and the motherboard. I'm not removing an egg for this because it's extremely typical amongst fans and it's a simple, completely no cost repair. Just a thing you ought to be conscious of.Also, It's loud and strong at complete speed which is a con to some, but I contemplate it a pro mainly because you can constantly just turn it down to comfortable levels using the motherboard or a different fan controller, and it provides you the choice of running it at high speed just in case you want that extra increase in cooling. I no longer use any other heatsinks for my and my buyers' HTPC builds.

Great cpu fan. Keeps my cpu the cooless it has ever been because I was working with the stock just before, the temp drop by 10 C. Louder then my stock cpu fan, But with the cooling difference no massive deal. It is also a tiny challenging to set in. As opposed to the 1 person who cut their finger puttint it in my blades where not thin sufficient to cut my fingers.

none. I turned my laptop or computer for about 5 minutes to install the Operating technique disk and the fins were so hot, the personal computer shut off since of the heat. the fan did not spin quickly enough. it didnt even move any air. it doesnt even cover the complete processor. the fins bend very easily. overall it was just horrible. in no way obtain this heatsink. i just purchased a COOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle and it keeps it so cool. THIS IS NOT Very good. Under no circumstances Obtain IT.

Looks cool. It operates and keeps my processor (AMD 6400+) cool. Standard usage around 30-35 deg. It's oh so quiet. Larger than I believed. Very difficult to remove. I got ahead of myself and forgot the Arctic Silver before putting the fan on. Took me a though (and a lot of strength) to get the fan off. That could be a plus, although. You know, the fins are uncomplicated to bend. Keeping the fins thin aids with the cooling and circulation, so I'm cool with that. They bend correct back. Could not cool like the huge boys do, but you're not paying for that here.

It's shiny, I guess. Purchased 2 for a dual Opteron server, they did not fit the 940 socket appropriately and put excessive force on the CPUs. I am now have two Opteron 246 CPU keychains due to all the ECC errors caused by being crushed.

Good color and look. Good heat dissipation. fairly and cool I currently have Arctic Silver Thermal Grease, and I would recommend anyone else to do the same. Provided thermal grease is offered to "meet firm standards". It wont start your CPU on fire, but a thing like Arctic Silver will make things a lot cooler. Utilizing on an Intel Quad Q6600. Keeping temps around 40-44 on common idle. Load I've gotten to 55.the uncomplicated Snap on for the mounting bracket is plastic and feels cheap. That being stated, it functions very nicely. a actual back plate would have created me feel much better, but I knew exactly what I was buying, and it was a better buy (for being on a quite tight budget) than i expected.

It functions on a AMD 939 cpu, look great and low noise. I put it on a flat surface and it rocks like a rocking chair, took 400 grit sand paper and careful worked it down till it was flat, the aluminum is so soft if you put any pressure on it the fins will bend I was afraid to trust it on my 939 cpu, but had too until a new one arrived and found it does a fair job, will probally leave it on.

I've currently got a superior one particular ordered save your funds and buy some thing elese

Effortless to install on an AMD CPU, functions very well and is extremely quiet. 4-pin fan connector operates fine on my three-pin motherboard header and fan speed is controlled fine. Really easy to install with an existing AMD CPU - utilizes existing backplate so no will need to remove the motherboard. As other individuals mentioned it is wide and consequently you could have problems if the memory is extremely close to CPU and have heat spreaders, but it was no trouble with my MSI-7125 MB. I employed this to replace the stock AMD fan supplied with my 939-pin dual-core 4600. The stock fan was outrageously loud right after converting the Pc to a HTPC and moving it to the living space into a closed entertainment cabinet. Stock fan sounded like an airplane. I wanted something quiet and this one particular functions fantastic. When idle the CPU stays about 35C @ 2100 rpm even though the motherboard is reporting 42C - it's a hot, closed cabinet and this is undertaking a good job keeping the CPU cool. Below lengthy, full load the CPU and fan hit 59C @ 2678 rpm, but nonetheless incredibly quiet. The wife is now pleased. :)

I am pleasantly surprised it is particularly straightforward to put on and keeps my CPU incredibly cool. This is as effortless to put on as Pentium CPU fans I employed back in the days ࿺s). I've built numerous systems and this one particular is by far the easiest a single to put on for a socket 775 motherboard. I essentially insert the black circular plastic piece, and then spot the HS/Fan on the CPU, and clip the sides. It's that effortless people. 30 seconds. It didn't make me feel like other HS/Fans I've applied that made me really feel the motherboard is about to break in half. None. Keeping the Q6600 CPU at about 34 degrees C idle. Ambient room temp is about 22 degrees C.

I have three of these coolers. A single on an Intel Q6600 operating 24ǝ. 1 on a AMD Phenom 9850 . Have not utilised the other one particular yet. They’re really quiet and install effortlessly. There are no heat problems with the quad cores and fans run on low with bios controlling them. noda I did not read the reviews on this cooling when I purchased them .Soon after reading the critiques you would assume this cooler is not capable of substantially. But I have it on a Q6600 operating 24ǝ with no heat troubles even a quad AMD and was even able to over clock them a little just for fun then back to stock . However the AMD dual core 2.8+ gets a small hot with this cooler though with sufficient air flow it functions. It’s a steal for the income but just don’t expect it to compare to far better coolers developed for over clocking

Ran a Q6600 below high load for about a week now, and it has never ever gone above 34C. It appears to idle around 29C which is better than OEM, and just fine for regular men and women. It also looks very good. Sort of large, but it fits normal mounts.

I have been utilizing stacks of these for years as a uncomplicated upgrade over stock coolers and i have under no circumstances had any concern with any of them. no noisy fans, no failures of any kind and not a single failed CPU even with light overclocking. they are also quite quiet particularly when hooked up to a motherboard with PWM control or a fan controller. the UV reactive plastic also looks superb under UV lights and also equally very good below LED case lighting which makes this cooler look right at household. They grow to be hard to clean after awhile but that is to be expected for un-plated aluminum. Fan speed could be slightly quicker but that could ruin the near quiet appeal these units have. They also come in black, which basically has superior thermal properties than this unit but each use the identical fan and execute very well. for the income they can hardly be beat. from single core semprons to phenom x4's it gets the job performed.

1. Supplied excellent variable speed fan ventillation with minimal decibels for extremely reasonable price. two. Huge aluminum cooling fins efficiently transferred heat away from core; CPU temp constantly remained nicely beneath AMD temp threshhold when fan worked. 3. As uusual, Newegg experience was fantastic. 1. As mentioned elsewhere, installing fan into CPU slot was a bear. I was concerned that the pressured exerted to snap fan into place might have cracked the motherboard. two. Fan failed with no warning after only 13 months of really moderate, no-gaming service (my wife's home PC). It was my poor that I didn't have bios set to supply audible warning when fan failed. Temperatures rose so high that program did auto shutdown to safeguard CPU (thanks AMD engineers). Lesson learned: make confident to new technique Constantly has fan failure alert activated on bios.three. I would have given Xigmatek far more stars if they hadn't entirely ignored me immediately after I contacted them. I guess I shouldn't have expected far more right after paying just ฟ for the unit but my knowledge with their customer support was worse than bad. You get what you spend for.
