Fits into locations some of those major rifle coolers won'tCools your ram as effectively as your cpu.Not only does it run cooler and quieter than the aluminum brick that came stock with my Athlon 3200+ it's in fact lighter and lower too, freeing up some room for the massive 120mm on the back to pull a lot more air out of my bro's case Tension clip was a bit hard to push down.No white LED's on the fan =[ Bought this when I replaced a dead northbridge fan on my brother's personal computer, he's working with my old Antec NSK4480B desktop ATX case and it's seriously cramped in there with 3 hard drives, a huge two slot GPU and two optical drives. This baby fit like a charm and with along with a little cable management it helped dropped the temps in case all about, not just the cpu temps, glad I decided to pick it up.

Much quieter than the factory fan and moves plenty of air. lowered cpu temp by ten to 15C once the arctic silver set up. Metal fins are very easily bent but only a few had been bent in shipping. the brief cord meant it couldnt reach the plug but it could aid save space on a board it would fit. Thinking i may well add an led to backlight the fan. May show up a bit superior through my window.

Fits a 790i board, like the other guy mentioned. Does it's job, somewhat. CPU idles at 43c and can hit 60c under load, that's greater than what I was seeking for but not by considerably. It's almost certainly my fault, I had to choose it up during installation, which smeared the thermal paste and (I believe) allowed air bubbles to form. Not considerably choice for people with a 790i board. Something 92mm or smaller will perform, or anything that DOESN'T have the fan parallel with the CPU, like fans that blow air sideways instead of down.

Quite quiet and economical. Replaced a broken 939 heatsink/fan. Kept an overclocked AMD A64-4000+ƒ.7ghz) at 34-idle, 44-full load. Installed without an problem. Little CPU get in touch with location. Affordable thin blades. Heatsink design could pose install problems if you have other components (like RAM) near by. I believe it works fine on a single core but as stated by other people, CPU contact area is small so I personally would not use it on a mid-highend dual core technique. Fan will possibly suffice for a low-mid range dual core if overclocking is not on the menu. Certainly worth a obtain if you're looking for an affordable and quiet CPU fan.

Fits on an EVGA nVidia 790i Ultra board. 92mm is the greatest you can go for that board. Haven't really turned on the comp but - my graphics card didn't come with a four-pin to 6-pin adapter and considering that it's past midnight, I can't run out and get one yet :) I'll write a review when I get everything situated. I was having trouble finding a cooler that would fit a 790i. The cooling fins on that board surround the CPU, and anything bigger than 92mm simply won't fit (save for anything that extends upwards, like the Zalman CNPS9500). I'll write an additional review with some cooling specs when I power up my computer.

Significant sufficient to cool memory sticks alsoQuiet but maxes out about 2500rpm This 1 does not cool as very good as the very first one I purchased.May well need to have to polish the aluminum just before applying new compound??Most probably a surface associated issue. This unit runs in between 48 and 58 deg CThe first 1 I bought ran 35 to 42 deg C, so who knows why as they are identical systems. They are really simple to install provided you clamp one side on very first as per directions. Hold firmly as it will slide all more than the location.

~looks much better than stock~fits on pretty much every thing as lengthy as your initial stick of memory isn't tall~not too noisy~cost, although not high-priced adequate for a return imo ~abysmal cooling~more force than usual to uninstall, uninstallation particularily challenging- had to unscrew one side of the retention bracket for me to be able to get the clip offComp specs:AM3/AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black ed. Ɠ.4Ghz, oc?)micro-atx case with very good airflowTemp outcomes:stock with thermal pad: 53c idlexigmatek ep-cd901 with OCZ Freeze: 65c idlestock with OCZ freeze: 58cso under identical conditions, the Apache (this product) runs 7c warmer. (OCZ freeze is performing fairly badly...) This is totally unacceptable cooling. Attaching a photo to an e-mail resulted in a complete freeze, time immediately after time (only because switching to the Apache). This was sufficient to push the processor too difficult given the cooling, I feel. Not to mention 65c idle is acquiring dangerously high Some critiques are fairly wonkey... like the one with claims of 8c (why in a million years would it be 15-20 degrees colder than room temperature), on a processor whose stock cooler (for AMD Athlon 64 X2) performs a LOT greater than this fan. If you have any dual or quad core CPU, specifically a definitely current one, I would strongly advise against this. If you have an Athlon 64 X2 or FX, even much more so.

Inexpensive cost for high air flow complicated to install perfectly flat on CPU Make totally sure the fan is seated entirely flat before use. The fan is prone to lifting just slightly off the proc on 1 side throughout install, if it isn't completely flat it serves to trap heat rather than help release it. When entirely flat it served to drop the core temp of my Quad core phenom by 4 degrees more than the stock cooler

It does the job, I have a AMD 5600+ and was operating around 55-60 C on stock cooler, now working with this operating about 45-52 C Feel was a major discomfort to hook up, cut myself on the fins so watch out. Even tho it was a pain hooking up and isnt the coolest cooler, its nonetheless good cooler, plus very cheap

Wow! This factor is awesome. AMD 5400+ x2 BE stays at 8-9 degrees idle and below 30 degrees load. Using Arctic Cooling MX-two Compound if that assists. NONE Looks excellent via red UV acrylic. Can't even tell its orange lol.

It looks quite cool. I gave my gf my old single core processor so she can play the sims two. For some reason her dual core two.6ghz laptop running vista locks up on her whilst producing her character but on a single core desktop it runs perfectly. But I wouldnt recommend it for anything other than a single core processor due to the cpu was 35 degrees celcius idle on the standard fan/heatsink whilst with this its only 4 degrees cooler. Its kinda huge but nonetheless fits. The bracket that come with it doesn't fit a 939 motherboard so I just utilized the very same 939 cpu bracket. Nonetheless works just as wonderful. It's a replacement for a stock cooler if yours breaks down. That's definitely about it. I wish it lit up or something. While the red/orange wouldn't appear to very good on the blue based desktop. Every little thing is blue led. The keyboard the desktop the mouse. The only factor thats not is her monitor. That will soon change.

Extremely Quiet Fan...It’s a steal for the funds, but just don’t expect too significantly to compare to much better coolers created for overclocking. Inexpensive thin blades...and incredibly challenging to install fan. Great for fragboxes/low profile instances. Sufficient to cool down non-overclocked cpus.

looks kinda cool arrived with 1 of the side clips broke off. also, wouldnt fit on my am2/am3 board. heat sink was Real flimsy and would quickly be ruined if dropped. dont waste your dollars on it. inexpensive quality and also when i went to send back, newegg directed me to the manufacturer. so maintain that "run about" in mind also.
