Would have been excellent if it fit my motherboard. I have the m4a89 GTD mobo. Did not fit my mobo and requires also a lot money to send back.This cpu fan said it fits AM3 which is the socket form for my mobo but still did not fit. It did not come with a retention bracket.

Excellent price tag, Cools nicely, low noise. Not a massive con but under load you want to turn the speed of the fan up and it will be a bit loud.

This is a very simple case to manipulate and get around in. I like the buttons for the power and USB up top, I adore the exhaust fan on the top rated of the case, and I like the style of the drive bays. Overall this case was a breeze to set up a pc in, and if you are seeking for a uncomplicated case with no a million bells and whistles, this is it. I only had a couple of items I absolutely wanted - namely tool-much less design for the drives, and a safe way to set up expansion cards that didn't involve plastic (the reality it utilised screws was ideal)I like the fact both sides of the case can eliminate so I can handle cables easily, I enjoy the layout of the tough drive cage, and the buttons on the front have that satisfying click.It was a breeze to assemble with the 3rd party CPU cooler too. The blue light on the front panel with the fan may well irritate some people today, but I like it - it quite simply lets me know my pc is on, even from the other room (in case I need to have to turn it off)I am never on the personal computer with the lights off so it doesn't matter to me, and in addition to the light doesn't look that vivid, there is just a huge location it filled in. Lots of copper. This heatsink was smaller than the SilenX IXC-120HA2 I previously had, and that was a massive plus. This unit is solidly built. Plus it has a cool blue light. Installing this thing was a royal discomfort ! The clip was extremely tough to mount, it took me about 15 mins to get it, and it wasn't as snug as I'd like. The optional fan switch you can set up doesn't truly make all that substantially difference in speeds. I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ which does tend to run a small hot. When my Computer is idling this unit keeps it at 33-35 c, my last one particular brought it down to 24-27 c. Beneath a full load 95% usage each cores it keeps it involving 53-57 c. This isn't poor but it is not as very good as I expected.

I bought this in a combo deal with my AMD processor. It's amazing! It fits perfectly with my motherboard, and it is very quiet. I would prefer to not have an LED, but I'm not going to complain about it. It's just a individual opinion. It does not impact the efficiency of this hardware in any way.

Quiet, cools well None that I can see. This was the third CPU cooler I tried on my AMD 6 core CPU. Lastly something that is quiet and cools properly. Installation was fairly uncomplicated on the AMD3 socket. I will likely acquire this brand in the future.

Unless you want the fan running at complete speed, complete noise all the time, you have to install the cheesy plastic external rheostat aka "FanMate" or buy a 3rd party fan controller.- Assuming you don't install the FanMate or other 3rd party fan controller, it's not any quieter than the stock Intel CPU fan.- Makes use of nuts-and-bolts attachment to MB, so MB must be removed for installation.- Mounting program does not safe the unit from rotating against the top rated of the CPU. Height just ideal and CPU operating in the low 30s. Glad I read the other reviews so I knew just what to do. I utilised my bare hands and didn't get cut when. This cooler is very best with AMD considering that I didn't need to add any adapters. Superior job again Zalman. Newegg shipping time beats absolutely everyone hands down. None

Demands a unique bracket for LGA 1366, which bolts through the bottom of the mobo. You must be careful to make sure the bottom block of the heatsink fits right in the center of the chrome holddown plate. A i7-950 running at 3.2ghz yields 63°C with all 8 cores loaded at 100%. Need to have included LGA 1366 assistance. When I purchased it, the tech specifics indicated it was 1366 compatible. Sure, IF you acquire the bracket separately.

The cooler works properly on a lower-end CPU. Temperatures are low, the fan is quiet, and the blue glow on copper adds a great bit of eye-candy. I would absolutely purchase this yet again for an additional dual-core create if the will need arises. Installation was a small bit of a pain on an AM3 motherboard. That was partly my fault even though, so I won't dock an egg. Also, the blue LED isn't as vibrant as you would think and the case fans outshine it very easily. The moment once again not a huge deal, so it keeps the egg. Installed in my wife's pc for some light gaming. Idles at 28-30, under load never above 42 unlike my stock cooler., nice led, not also vibrant, fantastic for the price as nicely, fit in my 430 elite. Looks great. The 90mm version fit in my old school mid-tower with room to spare. Quite quiet. The OEM hsf idled my Phenom II X4 at about 34, this does it at 38. May be switching back... :-( Possibly the bigger model would be superior for me.
