Keeps Phenom II 955 BE overclocked from 3.two to 4.1 below max temp when running Intel Burn Test and OCCT. This cooler is in reality so very good that the chip will throttle itself internally down to 800MHz due to internal temp although the outside case temp of the CPU stays under max. In other words, the CNPS10X Performa is able to pull heat away quicker than the chip can get the heat to the outdoors case of the CPU. Can't ask for any superior than that! Blocks very first RAM slot on my M4A87TD EVO, not a difficulty if working with only two RAM sticks in dual channel. For the price, the CNPS10X Performa is a wonderful deal! Not quite loud, but if you want super silence appear at the CNPS10X Quiet, will price you บ-ฤ far more with about the same cooling capability.

Cons:-takes up first slow ram, although can move the fan clip up to make some headroom for head spreader but still can't accommodate corsair vengeance

Pros:-Quiet-Price-Design-Stock PWM fan-installtion(Really depends, will go into detail on summary)-include two sets of fan clips for push/pull config
Comment:
I don't usually write reviews but after switching from aio water unit due to somewhat loud pump decided to go back to air cooler, Tried the CNPS 12x, that one is quiet but has some mechanic low buzzing noise( very minimal but compare to other quieter fans in my system it is notable) and the fans are not swappable, temps are okay at least 2700k at 4.4 with 1.24 voltage temps for the four core was 68/74/72/69, and the mounting is not 100% stable can still rotate the cooler, but after seeing this cooler with all the good stuff on spec, tried out, stock fan is VERY silent with pwm, with 95 prime and max fan y 2000 rpm, temp with same oc is 56/64/62/57, WAY better than the cnps 12x and cheaper and lighter, will be getting two cougar vortex pwm for extra silent for push pull, highly recommended over other coolers such as hyper 212 evo or other coolers.

Keeps an i5 750 ice cold. it is a Enormous cooler. the Fan hangs more than the 1st two memory slots on an Asus P7P755-D-E PREMIUM. Not to be concerned though, it nonetheless clears GSkill Ripjaws heatsinks by a couple of thousandths! LOL a actual discomfort to mount. I am a veteran installer and this a single requires some patience. It is mostly the bracket assy that bugs me. you have to know which hole pattern to use and then you have to maintain the small nut in that distinct spot although you slide a tiny plastic retainer on. Then you have to stick the adhesive sticker on the bracket, get it lined up by making use of the mounting screws stuck through the motherboard, and slide it into position all although balancing the motherboard on edge. The mounting screws don't have springs either. they just tighten down on the upper bracket with no lock washer or something. I wouldn't get one more one particular. The Hyper 212 is considerably less complicated to use. if you want super cooling it is possibly worth the effort. I just don't overclock to the hairy edge anymore... I nonetheless think the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 is the best bang for the buck.

Ridiculously silentSmaller sized and more affordable than similar performing coolersPotential to modify/add fans at will Can be overwhelming if this is your very first aftermarket cooler. A lot of methods to get this issue assembled and on a motherboard, specially if using an LGA 775 board, which I'm not. I set up this cooler on an Asus Rampage three Formula to cool my i7 980X. I added a 2nd fan to it, a zalman fluid dynamic 120mm fan and those two fans together in a push pull truly retain heat off my cpu. My 980X idles around 28 degrees and in no way hits over 40 at load in games. Complete tension in prime95 and it never ever goes over 55C.

This factor is quiet! This was my first non-stock cooler, and I wasn't expecting it to be so big. The dimensions are listed, but I didn't pay interest when I purchased it. I've got adequate space in my case even though, so it worked out. Can't actually justify knocking off eggs for this though. - It comes with thermal paste. I assumed it wouldn't given that I didn't see a mention of it on the product page and purchased some Artic Silver. - Not significantly airflow from the fan, but I was expecting that since of how quiet it is. Functions fine for my requirements.- I had to take the mounting bracket for the CPU off my motherboard (AM3) which I wasn't as well thrilled about, but almost everything operates fine.

Fits with out issues in my 7.5" wide case (Silverstone PS05). Does not cover rams slots, nevertheless my ram does not have tall heat spreaders. Did not drop my idle temp, but my load temp even right after hours of gaming does not crest 41C. My old Cooler Master TX3 would get as hot as ᄁC. Decently quiet. Mounting hardware is chintzy, sort of wierd. Even with the cooler cutout on the motherboard tray it was nevertheless a tricky install. Might be less complicated next time to just eliminate the mobo to do it. My case is not higher airflow by anymeans, but this cooler nevertheless does a good job of keeping my room heater, cough cough, phenom cool.Specs:Phenom 965 140W C2 (The actually hot 1ꇴ GTXthree scythe (f'n loud) slipsteam fans770 chipset

Massive, nasty and does it's job. OC AMD 965BE to four.0ghz with excellent temps, thinking about Arctic five hasn't been "cycled".Fan clips do the job, not worth complaining about. Came out of box with 4 bent fins. I straightened them with pliers but they nevertheless look wavy. If you are wondering if this will perform: appear at your mobo and note the length/width of the stock slot. The longer side and shorter side will correspond the exact same on this HS, meaning if the longer side is pointing toward your ram it may not perform. Also, you want the fan to blow toward the back of the case, and it blows AWAY from the heat-sink so it will be towards the back of the mobo. Some ram may well fit underneath it, most will not (if it has any heat disipators on it at all)

Operating at 900RPM fan speeds, it idles at 37C and gets to only 54-55C running Prime95 for an hour. Unbelievable cooling for ุ. None. No LED is surely not a con in my book. Cools great, quite quiet. I have an Athlon II X4 635 two.9GHz quad core. I'm making use of the EasyTune6 software program for my Gigabyte motherboard to hold the fan speed at minimum all the way up to 60C. The factor is, this CPU in no way gets that hot with this cooler. So I truly did get to silence my Computer with it, no joke.

When I bring it up to max you can nevertheless barely hear it. The fan is truly very good excellent. I didn't have any troubles with fitting in my case, Thermaltake G, I made positive it would fit just before hand, by giving myself a rough concept about how significantly space i would have left for the following marketplace Heatsink. I didn't relize how wide of a case the thermaltake g is. I would recomend it. The fins are Incredibly sharp. I sliced my hand twice whilst placing it all with each other. So watch for these little tight spaces, you could cut your self. They bend a tiny too effortlessly, but it doesnt imply much it will nonetheless disperse quite fine, im getting all the identical temps as absolutely everyone else. As for maintaining the processor nice and cool this factor defiantly does its job! Its a actual discomfort in the rear installing this, I do not advise for a very first time builder, you have to disassemble your stock mounting hardware on your motherboard and install the hardware that comes with this, and good luck trying to make because of the directions in the book! I had to go to there web internet site and watch the video! The fan only cleared my g-ability Ram heat sinks by 1 millimeter so do your analysis if your ram has heat-sinks.If your side panel on your situation has any type of wide tunnel this will be an issue to, this issue is like a 3 retailer constructing hanging off the side of your processor so take note off the dimensions and the weight. This point does a Incredibly very good job at maintaining the processor cool and it looks pretty cool to! Despite the fact that almost everything came with each other and worked ok for my set-up, I don't feel I will get once more, its just to huge of a pain putting in and the clearance challenge with the Ram heat sinks. This is an unbelievable cooler for the income. I run an i7 930 at stock speeds. With the stock intel cooler, I booted around 45C and hit 80C at load, way as well high for my tastes. I just completed putting in the Zalman Performa, and the initial boot came in at 31C! Idle is in the low 30s, which I'm incredibly happy with. Basically outstanding. The a single gripe I have is the rather extensive installation. It was challenging to get the fan on at first. Also, the backplate installation was a bit of a discomfort. Absolutely nothing worth taking an egg off nonetheless. This cooler is Massive. It overlaps my very first memory stick slot and I had to take away my 1st stick(in the second slot) in order to fasten the cooler and fan. Absolutely nothing much more than a temporary nuisance. All in all, I am Really pleased with this cooler.

Wonderful cooler that does its job.Keeps my AMD 1055T at 27C idle and 33C under 50% load when coupled with Artic Silver five. This CPU cooler fits in my Antec 300 Illusion Case with no clearance problems what-so-ever.The cooler comes with all the vital brackets for AMD and Intel boards. For a initially time builder, this CPU cooler did not give me any true problems. Just be sure to take care not to bend any of the delicate fins.It also comes with the brackets and noise dampeners for an extra 120mm fan. With the included "Rev limiter" (can't recall what its referred to as), my fan under no circumstances goes above about 1000RPM.Extremely quiet... the other three 120mm fans in my situation (antec tri-cool set to Medium) are louder than this thing. My give complications to those who want to use this CPU cooler with RAM that have big heatsinks. I countered this by making use of GSkill's Eco series RAM. This RAM has small heatsinks, but stay cool due to lowered voltage needs. Nonetheless provides very good performance (DDR3, 1600MHz, 7-8-7-24) at only 1.35v.So those of you searching at AMD boards, especially the 890GX series, match confident you check for RAM clearance. Very nice heatsink I must say, zalman did a great job! Not too sure if I am a fan of their thermal grease though (seems really thick and not as easy to spread as AS5), and will likely replace it with AS5.. but so far the temps are decent. Running an i5-2500k t 4.6ghz 1.385v with prime 95 loads of 58-59C instantly dropping to 36-37c after prime is stopped! Idles around 32-35c :).*Ambient temp is about 68F

I've generally purchased Zalman CPU coolers and this is the ideal one I've bought from them so far. I've spent the extra funds for additional pricey items from Zalman (and also other brands) in the previous but this has been far superior. Its a product that works and is extremely quiet. Its also a really properly produced cooler, despite the poor packaging noted in my cons, and feels solid. The fan is comes with also feels great, and is a massive upgrade more than the flimsy stock coolers and lesser coolers. Certainly a great cooler for only โ. Shame on Zalman. It looked like my cooler was shoved in the box when I opened it for the initial time. About a dozen of the fins had been bent out of shape. For this, I'm knocking it down one particular egg. But it was an easy fix and doesn't effect performance. This thing is also enormous; nearly seems as well big but its obviously carrying out its job. Its mostly aluminum and I wish there was much more copper, but I'm getting as well picky. For comparison, the stock cooler on my E8400 idled at about 40C, this idles at about 30C. Full load at stock speeds was nearing 70C and 55C, respectively. For comparison to another Zalman product, I was making use of a Zalman CNPS9700 prior to and at full load AND overclocked to 3.6GHz, it was about 65C. With this, it barely breaks 50C. Fantastic cooler, and substantially quieter than anything else for the functionality. Don't pass it up.

Phenom ii X4 940 was continually hitting 65 inside 5 min of testing employing the Alpine 64 Pro I had for my AMD dual core 5000. As all other reviews stated, it is very huge and demands a 160mm wide situation. I have Kingston HyperX ram at 30mm height which was properly below the clearance needed stated in the manual located on their site. Not a con, but the clips holding the fan to the unit drove me crazy. Thin aluminum wire that jumps off over and over. Extremely challenging to take care of devoid of a complete lot of patience. Take your time placing individuals on. Motherboard ought to be removed to install an AMD. Make all wire connections before replacing the board will make issues simpler. The bolts are brief that come via the motherboard, and I didn't feel they would operate at initially but they did. Asus M4A785-M, Phenom iiX4 940, Thermaltake Soprano case,

Great cooler. Runs quiet. Cools incredibly effectively. It's cooling a AMD Phenom x4 3.2Ghz and the situation temp is 82F and the CPU temp is 95F and its pretty much at full load. I use Linux and it is compiling. I am letting the mobo control the fan speeds suitable now. CPU fan is at about 1500 rpms at the moment. It has not been over 100F since I installed it. The Arctic Silver is breaking in I guess. A tiny hard to put in and took me a handful of minutes to figure out the instructions. If you just adhere to the methods, it functions fine. I utilised a truly extended screw driver. That works greater than a brief one for me anyway. This CPU cooler does fit in a Cooler Master HAF 932 case with room to spare. It also does NOT come close to the memory but the fan does. I would recommend low profile memory for the very first bank or two.
