Okay, this is genuinely great. The efficiency surprised me alots.Initially, the compound comes with the package and guess what,it is far better than Arctic Silver 5 for confident.I give 5 eggs for this.Second, assistance dual fan.The packaged only come with one fan but hey,for below 40$,no other med-high cpu cooler give each fan.And they have decision for you.If you want silent, leave the resistor on.IF you want efficiency, take it out so that the fan runs at 2000rpm and consider you have 2 fans.I have no notion how cool that is.Third,5 Heatpipe.Retain that in thoughts, this is not DIRECT.DIRECT heatpipe is NOT Very good, the surface don't get all the heat. That's why this one is a fantastic a single. It take all the heat from your cpu absolutely nothing is missing.I get this when price is 30$,Can't think it. Install is not that hard.Just be careful. I overclock AMD x2 555 BE three.2ghz to x4 B55 4ghz.Full load is only at 45-50C with 8 hours complete street Prim95.This is the best cpu cooler at mid range value but give high overall performance as in high rank coolers.Acquire it,and you will see what i am talking about.

The stock AMD cooler on my PhenomII x4 kept the processor at 45C idle and 65C below load. After I purchased this my temps are 35C idle and 45C below load. This fits in my smallish Antec mid tower case with a tiny bit of room to spare. The included fan is quieter than my quiet case fans even at 2000RPM. This also has provisions to hook up a second fan on the other side of the heatsink for a lot more airflow. This manages to clear my RAM (Mushkin Blackline), but RAM with bigger heat spreaders might be to huge. The fan clips let the fan slide up a bit, so you have a tiny space to function with if necessary which is a large plus.Because this style pulls air over the RAM slots and out the back as opposed to a best mounted fan blowing the air out the sides of the heatsink like the stock cooler, my RAM temps went from 50C beneath load to 30. Wow. The fan clips will be in my nightmares for weeks to come. After on, the fan is good and secure, but attempting to install is a pain. The slightest bump and they pop off the fan as you attempt to mount it. It's fairly frustrating. This won't fit more than RAM with massive heat sinks on top. I bought this to cool my PhenomII x4 which runs very warm. The stock cooler on these literally screams when it revs up to full RPM and I couldn't take it any longer. This can't be heard more than my other situation fans and cools remarkably nicely.I utilised my tube of Arctic Silver instead of the included thermal grease so I can't comment on its excellent. The instructions were incredibly clear on how to install it. This is the very first third portion heatsink I've ever installed, and if I can manage to bumble my way via installing this I assume anybody can.

Keeps my i7 860 underneath 58C under load, underneath 35C idle, with the low rpm setting. five heat pipes style functions nicely.Quiet.Not as well expensive. Not also high, just fits in my 187mm wide mid-tower. Blocks 1 memory slot. Ƒ possible remedy would be to place the fan on the other side) Installation is slightly tougher than some other cooler I've used in the past, but not too bad. A couple of tricks:- there is a sticker to hold the back plate whilst you install the mother board back in the situation. If this doesn't hold well, use the four screws to hold it instead, until the mobo pressed against it.- When you attach the brackets to the cooler, make positive they line up nicely with the holes of the motherboard. It will make your life easier. I employed a Noctua fan, that is even much more silent at low rpm than the Zalman a single.

This is a excellent heatsink. It keeps my 955 12 Celsius degrees above ambient idle. Its ugly. Down ideal ugly. For this purpose I am replacing it and passing it along to a buddy. It preforms excellent though.Horrible packaging. The fins banged against the fan in transit leaving me with several bent fins. Straightened them with some pliers, but that is just poor packaging. I have decided to switch for aesthetics, but this point preforms well. If you don't mind aesthetics, it is difficult to beat at this price. Handful of heatsinks out preform it; these are all practically twice the value too.

Wonderful spread on radiator and great contact on motherboard. Fan is excellent comes with four extended goofy strips that lessen vibration. Why not just incorporate it currently on the product? Also a bit of a discomfort to place on. The backplate is simple but the actual heatsink is very significant so you cant even see where the cpu is to put it on without a hitch.

Fits in mid tower instances with side fan.Extremely good mounting mechanism that permits suitable mounting on AMD systems.Cools a 970BE extremely properly even with stock fan below 50c load at 22c ambient. Mounting the back plate is a small difficult to line up.Wish the cooler came with a extended necked screwdriver because mounting the cooler to the back plate on an AM3 mobo puts a normal screw driver at an odd angle and if you are not cautious you might strip the heads of the screws or dmg your mobo. Stock fan can be heard over 1100rpm which when plugged directly into the board for PWM it stays at 1200rpm or greater. Full load the fan gets upto 1700rpm. If you want a quieter cooler you will will need to get some quieter fans. Stock fan works just fine just a tad loud.

Reasonably priced, performs nicely. Far far better than the rubish offered with CPU's as stock HSF assemblies. Whilst not as frustrating as some of the other retention hardware out there this technique nevertheless needs a little perform to fine tune the method. Similar for the fan retention clips, it'd be good if they would stay in location when not actively retaining the fan. Also the factor sits a bit low so a push configuration outcomes in needing to push the fan up off the memory sticks.Nothing seriously critical right here just minor tweaks required to take a solid 4-egg product into the five-egg range. The box this went in folds 24x7 on all 4 cores of a Quad-Core AMD cpu in addition to being a simple Server and this small cooler keeps the temps in a very respectable range. I am absolutely content with this acquire.

This is a wonderful fan & heatsink. I have the fanless version of the CNPS10X (the Flex model). I use it with a really quiet SilenX 11dba fan attached. Runs perfect. Temps at idle are around 30°C; temps though playing a video game run about 50°C. None In order for the other reviewers to be acquiring temps of 20°C on a processor that generates 65 to 95 watts of heat, the space temperature of their home has to be certainly chilly 54°F, given that the heatsink and fan Can not lower the temperature of the processor to a temperature lower than the space temperature. A very good heatsink like this one particular can lower the processor to a temperature roughly 8°C ABOVE the temperature of the space. Considering that 20°C is 68°F, these people are telling you that their space is a really chilly 54°F. (I guess they put on a sweater when they play their video games.)

This items a beast at cooling my 955BE at 3.8GHz, keeping my Idle temps around 26-29c and loads have never hit 40c yet even when rendering in Sony Vegas! Temps for when I'm playing games like Crysis/Mass Impact two/Dragons Age Origins, almost never go past 34c, and this is in an older Aspire X-pider case with five 80mm case fans so this coolers definitely doing a excellent job not to mention the paste it comes with appears to also function far better then the AS 5 I use to use. All in all this is a top o the line cooler at a decent price tag and add 2 high CFM fans an your have 1 heck of an air cooler. only that the back plate can be tricky to get on just right, very good thing it comes with 2 double sided sticky tape pads, but other then that it was really less difficult to place on then I believed. I managed to clock my Phenom IIx6 1045T 2.7 Ghz to four.1 ghz. At 100% load on all six cores, the temperature reaches only 35C. At idle, it hovers at 20C. It's freakin' enormous. Like seriously, half the size of your head. I don't see how fitting the heat sink into the mobo would be a difficulty. It quickly clears my A slot RAM, but placing on the fan is one more difficulty. I had to put my fan on the other side of the heat sink (no big deal) but my airflow is a bit screwy. However, doesn't appear to be a challenge contemplating my temps are so low. Phenom IIx6 2.7 clocked to four.1 ghz running at 35C maximum load.

This fan keeps my I7-930 processor nice and cool. The fan is NOT noisy even on its maximum speed. Directions were comprehensive and it was a extremely simple installation onto the processor and motherboard. In combination with my Antec 1200 case this processor won't be heating up anytime soon. none Just be certain to have adequate room in your case if you're buying memory with "taller" heatsinks. It may well interfere with the initially memory slot depending on which mother board you obtain. (although I didn't have this issue).

Strapped it to an AMD Phenom X4 965 Black Edition and overlocked to nearly 4GHZ鴎x19). System also has G.Skill Ripjaws RAM overclocked. Good and stable. Fan clips are flimsy and and fall-off straightforward, so be cautious not to be rough with them when clipping fan to the heatsink. Also be cautious not to put any pressure on the heatsinks fins as they are fairly thin and bend very easily. I accidentaly bent the leading two but was able to bend them back quite straight. Make confident you get a case wide enough for clearance. I would definately use this item in one more construct.

As far as price tag/performance goes, this cooler is second to none. I have had knowledge with many, several aftermarket coolers, and this a single outperforms a lot of of the the ๠ heatsinks that 1 may possibly come across. My PhII C2 955 Revision (Higher heat from C3) at 1.475 Will hit MAX 60C CPU temp and 57C person core temp. At 1.45v (my 24ǝ OC Voltage), this keeps the CPU under 55 and the cores under 53C. This is under 100% load employing prime95. With the stock cooler, my chip would hit 65C on stock speed with stock voltage! (Again, prime95)If I wanted to use the stock speed/voltage with this cooler, it will go no higher than 42C, even beneath 100% load for each and every core. , price/performance ratio is merely extraordinary. Get it, it is superior than most of the ๠ "High Overall performance" CPU heatsinks.

Incredibly quiet. Cools fairly nicely. You can modify the fan very easily. It holds my AMD Phenom II x4 945 at 31ㅡC degrees. Comes with high top quality thermal grease. You have to be very careful for the duration of installation, it's tricky. You could damage your motherboard very easily. For installation or removing it, you have to take away the motherboard. Check the dimensions just before acquiring it.

quality copper base polished - no lapping required, completely silent fan, huge heat fin region, very low measured temps. Product delivers on the advertised promises - at a fair cost point. not trying to be picky, I'm happy with this product. I will ignore how hard mounting is, even with board outside the case, attempting to tighten the mounting screws properly - the HS fins almost fully block access to mounting screws. I got it accomplished. It is possible, and I expected it to be tricky. Not a real "con" as I don't know how a lot differently you could style this, for this value point, at this level of reliability. I do assume I would let the screw heads on base of underside of the board, and put the nuts on the mounting tabs, and tighten this beast from the bottom. I had the board in my hands. I'll just let that issue drop ....The "real con" has work-arounds. But this con could have been prevented by Zalman with some analysis and design work. Zalman should offer some added clips for mounting a 92mm fan.In preferred mounting for AMD, exhausting to back of case, there is threeǞ" fan interference on Asus M4A88 TDV w/ RipJaws in ramslot A1 See function-arou Work-arounds for fan/ram interference --- electing to use AMD stock mount and the "alternate" offered center clip from Zalman. heat is exhausted down (or up) with center clip. I do not like the weight load on the stock single plastic tabs, and i do not like the exhaust orientation for heat management in my NZXT case. I currently have a lot of heat to manage from my 570 GPU.-moving RipJaws to A2+B2. Not desired. But this was my short term remedy. It operates OK, but I want my ram in A1+B1.- snapping the fanclips up threeǞ" of inch on the HS. OK - not quite. Cools fine on this beast. But triggered fan to interfere with side door of my NZXT gamer case.- mod some new clips to mount a new 92mm PWM fan mid-face on this HS. This will let me clear RipJaws in slot A1, and clear the side cover. This HS is so efficient that a 92mm fan will perform just fine. Mods to tighten the mount process from base of board, extra clips for a 92mm fan would make this HS ideal, my opinion.

Easy to assemble, very sturdy, good construct high quality and superb finish. It wasn't a con for me, but this thing is large so make certain to double check to see if it will fit in your case! Keeps my i7 930 OCd @ 3.8ghz at 34 degrees while idle.It would be good if it came with the two fans it advertises it can support. (Only 1 fan is included) Don't get me wrong, a single fan is more than sufficient--but it's a bit strange that on their web page the description is fantastic cooling with dual fan assistance...and then the item only has one fan.

I have no concept how well this CPU cooler performs. It does not fit on an ASUS Extreme III motherboard. The ASUS Northbridge heat-sink and cooling fan are positioned incredibly close to the CPU socket. The NB heat-sink stands up too high which blocks the Zalman cooler from mating to the CPU. The only doable way it could fit would have been to leave the additional NB heat-sink and fan off but that runs the threat of allowing the NB to overheat. I did not care to take that opportunity. I wish I had identified it was too large to fit on the ASUS MB before shopping for it. Therefore I give the product a rating of 1. But it seemed like an ideal choice at the time. I had to purchase an additional manufacturer's CPU cooler instead of using this one to full the technique. If a person has the very same ASUS Extreme III MB and has discovered a way to install it, with no modifications to either the cooler or the MB, I would be interested in knowing how it was performed.

My came with parts to connect a second fan on which only assist that temp. Install was uncomplicated. The screws are hold fan to mount are slight hidden by the heat sink so it can be tough mount. The fan mounts can be pain to mount. But when mounted stable.

Installed this with Artic Silver 5 on a M48a79xtd- EVO motherboard and a new AMD 965 BE processor develop. I got 33C on idle when i fired up the technique. Not bad for a โ cooler. I assume temps will go down as Arctic Silver five cures. Height will fight most Mid Tower Circumstances. Mine had about 2 inches of clearance working with CM HAF 922 case. None so far Make confident you direct the fan towards the exhaust if you're only working with 1 fan. This i think gets you superior result vs pointing it the other way. (of course, 2 fans will almost certainly yield lower temps). Make certain that the supporting brackets for AM3 is securely attached. Don't hesitate to get this if you're on a budget and wants decent efficiency.

1st off, the reality that this was in a position to fit in my case, but it does mention that it will fit in mid towers, so that was a plus. It comes with all the parts to be able to use it on Intel/AMD chips (if you're lazy with the AMD "hook & bracket" style you can install it without having getting to eliminate the total motherboard). I recomend screwing it on to the mobo it gives it a additional secure fit, but it does need a bit far more operate. I was idle at 41 celcius and 58+ load on Phenom II 965 oc @ 4.0ghz as soon as i employed this beastly cooler i got 35 idle and 53 load, making use of the provided thermal paste Zalman STG2 (which i wrote a assessment for as nicely). The fan connection comes with standerd mobo plug, and a resistor "add on" to make sure the fan stays quiet but at a lower "locked" rpm, but if you want far more performance at the cost of noise, dont use it. The price and performance is superb contemplating all the other coolers out there for double the cost, this cooler seriously performs excelent! Oh my, there are some... mounting this beast can be a but of a hassle, you may well wish you had a third hand avaliable, but as soon as it is in, expect greatness!! An additional is that if you choose to use the fan to blow towards the exhaust fan at the rear of the tower you will recognize that it will get in the way of a memory stick, (AARGH!), i use all 4 slots so i had to improvise and use one more fan (didnt want to) and mount it on the other side of the heatsink pulling air rather than pushing it by means of the HS, i have yet another fan that blows aire on the hs so it wasnt that poor, but it may pose a prob for other individuals, that use all 4+ memory slots. Make confident you read the directions very carefully and not overlook something. The price and efficiency make this a excellent buy for everyone looking to OC or just maintain that cpu cool, Zalman's other "round" style coolers are great but they have surely show their worthyness with this cooler and other individuals of the CNPS10X line up.System Spec:Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P AM3AMD Phenom II X4 965 OC @ four. ghzCorsair Dominator CMD8GX3M4A1333C7 8 gigsZalman CNPS10X Perfroma cpu coolerCorsair TX750W PSUWindows 7 UltimateATi Radeon HD5970 ;) Blu-ray player, dvd burner/ Dvd DL burner w/ lightscribe3 Tough drives all 7200rpm sata2 - 150gig, 300gig, 1tbAudigy 2ZSATi Television card 550 pro chip

Keeps my Q6600 just barely cool sufficient to run at 3.6. I got mine for ฮ on a different website a although back. I wouldn't spend 50 on this simply simply because the fan that comes with it is really weak. If you replace the fan with a better 1 or set it up to have two fans then it works considerably better. The fan is weak, practically useless. Necessary to replace the fan in order for it to perform efficiently. This heatsink is so big that you could use it as a fanless heatsink and skip overclocking if you wanted to.

It's been mentioned several times but this factor cools like nothing else. My CPU temp is somehow generally slightly lower than mobo temp.Max prime95 load, peaks about 55C in a poorly ventilated Antec P183 and this is well ahead of the AS 5 paste I bought has cured. The heatsink is so big that I can not mount the provided fan on the right side of the heatsink without having blocking 3ǚ of the RAM slots on my ASUS AM3 moboNow the airflow in my case is absolutely backwards (in from the back, out the front)Fan frequently DOES NOT Start off when comp is booted, and slowly spins to life following maybe ten seconds - not just before interrupting boot sequence and requiring manual keystrokes to continue. Looks like it just lacks power Appears like most other men and women haven't had this issue with the fan not spinning up instantly. Overall it has fantastic cooling but all the cons just develop into a nuisance
