Tends to make my BFG 9800GT OC run at 30c idle, 42C load. Fan is super quiet. None. I utilized this to replace the stock fan that began to sound like a lawn mower.Does every little thing have to have a blue LED?! Seriously. It's not really a con though.

I got it to perform on my GeForce GTX 260. And it appears to cool a tiny bit greater than my stock cooler. I was told that this was a Universal Heat sink and would match on my GeForce GTX 260 putting this on it was the most significant nightmare I ever had but by changing some items we got it to match.Oh and the RAM Heatsink come off truly effortlessly. where it touches my GPU simply because my GPU is Gigantic is doesnt touch the whole chip because this is met for smaller sized GPUs. I am considering of buying PCI slot fans to pour air on the heatsink to minimize heat. Manufacturer Response:Dear Value Consumer,We are not certain where you obtain the info that it works with GTX260, as we have overview our website and NewEgg specification we did not state it is compatible. If you can support us by letting us know where you saw the information so we can proper this. Thank youSincerely,Group Zalman USA

Fits good on my Asus HD4850. The stock fan kept it hot all the time, so it was time to change! Uncomplicated to install and came with almost everything you required. Not a 4-pin fan so you can plug it straight on the video card. The stock fan had aspect of the heat sink more than some conductors (?) and there is absolutely nothing in kit that compensates. Bear in mind to uninstall the Asus Clever Medical professional prior to installing the new fan. I left my MSI Wind Pc Intel 945GC Black Barebone (item 50950325) open though i tinkered with it. I started out obtaining overheating complaints in the syslog. When I realized that I was defeating the natural airflow of the case, I replaced the case cover and the fan abruptly went into overdrive. The fan's personal temperature sensor decided the case needed fast cooling... and indeed the airflow was extreme. Inside minutes, the fan self-decreased and resumed it's typical hum as the case returned to a normal temperature. The fan is never "slient" but that's since my case is never rather cool. It's usually working... but that's what it's supposed to do. Possibly someday when 500GB strong state drives are less than 贄, the fan will ultimately shut up.

Keeps my 8800GT running at 51C. Really really. Comes with a switch to manually control fan speed. Even when it is turned all the way up, noise levels are nevertheless adequate. Effortless to set up. None so far. I took off the speed switch and just wired it straight into a fan power connection and have had no challenges whatsoever, even under higher load application and gaming.

If you personal a Sapphire X1950 Pro (AGP or PCI), you require to do your self - and your video card - a favor: get this cooler! I own the 512MB AGP version. Here are my temp comparisons, just before and following this upgrade.Stock Sapphire heatsink / fan comboᛡ-60 C = Idle75-85 C = Load (ouch!)Zalman heatsink / fan comboᛕ-47 C = Idle54-57 C = LoadSo, my Load temps are now about what the stock setup was, at Idle! A single of the following is true; the stock hsf is a terrible design, or the Zalman is a excellent style. I'm guessing it's a bit of both...Zalman tends to make good goods, with great step-by-step directions - I also personal their CPU cooler (CNPS9700 NT).I look at myself relatively "tech-savvy" when it comes to computer upgrades, but I actually appreciate it when a corporation leaves nothing at all to guess when walking by way of an upgrade of this sort. It's comforting to know that I'm doing almost everything correct by way of the whole install procedure.Fan is quiet in silent 񡿸rpm) or normal ( Not truly a undesirable thing, but just make positive to look at that it's a big cooler and that you have a spare adjacent slot. Excellent Item (Zalman) + Quickly Shipping (Newegg) = Sweet!!!

Installed on a Gigabyte 4870 1gb ddr5. it barely fit with the other heatsink on my board. Was afraid of the clearance issue due to the fact of how wide this hs is, but it fits with no room to spare. supplied ram heatsinks are a good touch. brought my temps down about 10C idle 20C load from a earlier zalman stock fan. It is louder than my other fans despite the fact that it is louder, it does its job, and gives a good led glow. encouraged, would buy yet again

Much quieter than a stock 4890 cooler under hefty load. Zalman's annoying external fan controller box and mess of wires. Didn't fairly hit the numbers other reviewers mentioned, though the quantity of noise the fan tends to make is much greater than what it utilized to be. I observed in my Mini P180 that the hot air from the cooler is pushed additional towards the front of the case. Setting the leading 200mm fan to medium reduced the temperatures by 5-7 C.

4 heatpipes and lots of metal. If your video card is on the list, this will maintain it cool. It's huge, which is only a con if you don't have the space. It takes up at least yet another slot's worth of space, so don't count on to shoehorn it onto any board in any case. The included fan speed controller is junk, but fortunately the fan is pretty quiet at full speed plugged in straight.

Performs as advertised, lowered my graphics card temps by about 12C idle, 15C load. Simple installation none Cleaning off the stock thermal compound can be a true discomfort, particularly on old cards. I utilised some acetone to hopefully get that final bit off.

Its a heck of a lot better then stock, the amount of thermal grease on the stock heatsink was crazy if not completely overboard. This is a have to have heatsink if you buy the 9800GTX+ or any other videocard.

This review is for ZALMAN VF2000 LED: I was going to acquire the VF1000 but i changed my thoughts. Too bad Newegg Dosen't sell that a single. Cooled my ATI HD4870 from 60c-80c on stock cooler, to 30c-55c. Sorry I can't comment on this product.

Replaced my aging stock cooler. Just before replacement it ran about 50C, now it's 35C!! Easy to install. Only complaint is the power connector. My video card has a smaller sized 3 pin connector so I had to unplug a situation fan and plug the cooler fan into the mobo till I can get a splitter. This makes it so that I can't monitor the fan speed quickly. Over all it's a great cooler! I'd purchase yet another one particular.

Comes with copper heatsinks and correct directions. They had fantastic foresight in generating certain the fan controllers cord was extended enough for particular circumstances. Only con I can consider of is the lack of a handful of additional heatsinks. It came with eight to cover all the memory modules, just not for VRM and such. Quite superior, I advise this puppy. Stock 4850 cooler at 80C idle, now runs at 43C idle and 60ish load in crossfire. :)

Installed today on a Saphire HD4850 card. Easy to install, runs very quietly, brought down temp from 81 degrees celsius to 41 degrees at idle. Hit's about 55 when gaming. Much quieter than the stock fan. Fan control ought to have been mountable to a blank pci slot. Not a large deal. Hardest element is taking old fan and heatsink off the stock card. Install was a piece of cake. I have a dell inspiron 530 which is a small case without having several expansion possibilities. I had to acquire a sata to molex energy adapter then a molex to three pin fan connector adapter to get power to the fan.

I've place this cooler on a particularly hot 8800gt that would sometimes reach temps in excess of 100c+ (yeah, waaaaay too hot) on load. Now the temps /might/ reach 70c on load. I can't say a lot about the sound difference although, but that is simply because the rest of my machine is fairly loud. All in all, this is a wonderful buy. Completely worth the money. Umm... I can't boil water on my GPU any longer. I was hesitant to acquire this since of various other reviews that told horror stories about the RAM heatsinks falling off. I, myself, didn't have this difficulty so I don't know if I got lucky or if there is something else going on with the others.

It cooled my X1950 from 75° C to 40 C. It wasn't cost-free. I have an x1950 that would overheat causing my personal computer to shut down in the course of games. The card had never ever been overclocked. I removed the card, took off the stock fan/heatsink, cleaned out the dust (there wasn't a lot) and reset it wtih new thermal paste. That didn't solve my overheating challenge. I don't play a lot of games so I didn't want to acquire a new video card. I decided to give this cooler a try and it worked . As I wrote above, the card use to run at about 75° C in Windows. In the course of a game the temp would go above 100° until the Catalyst drivers would shut down my Pc.With this fan/heatsink installed (plus the integrated memory heatsinks) my card now runs at 40° C in Windows and about 60° C throughout games. Problem solved!

8800 GTX was at 77 degrees C at idle. Immediately after switching to Zalman VF1000 in mixture with RHS88, it dropped down to 50 Degrees C at idle. LED light is fairly awesome to appear at. It's pretty quiet but not as quiet as i imagined. Zalman is a good business. The instruction manual was really user friendly and it was truly effortless to install. Strongly advise adding RHS88 to your shopping cart.

Low Price. Aluminum fins capture and distribute heat superior than all-copper solutions. It doesn't restrict airflow more than the ram mosfets, as the stock all copper cooler did. Went from receiving right around 71C on the vid ram to no additional than 54! Simply outstanding! Directions included are a joke -> There aren't lengthy screws that go into the base to pass through the card to be secured with a nut for a very basic install. I had to prop it on an angle and -discover- each point with ample lighting to secure it to the card. This might just be the largest factor I've ever observed utilized to awesome a vid card, but it does the job nicely and devoid of costing fifty bucks.I employed all the ramsinks included on the bottom of my card and don't see any troubles with the double sided tape used to hold them on. I have a BTX style situation to boot.I nevertheless can't believe they make high-finish cards wtih cheap (or None at all!) ramsinks, that's what prompted me to acquire this, but I identified it for บ much less at a competing retailer. It would be nice if we could use a typical 120mm fan appropriate on the cooler, but I've got a fan topside of my case.

Really quietvery uncomplicated installationcomes with a remote to control the fan speedhas LEDsdid I mention really quiet?it comes with a sticker This really isn't a con but far more of a great issue but it might be a con to some men and women. Any way when you boost the fan speed from silent mode to high you can't even hear the fan speed up lol. I do know it is escalating the fan speed simply because my temps go down. The only way for me to hear the fan speed up is for me to put my ear appropriate subsequent to the personal computer lol. This fan does perform on a Evga 9800 GTX+ and is way smaller than the stock fan so you don't have to be concerned about there not becoming adequate area. Right here are some statistics for my personal computer.Computer system Idle and fans on lowest settingStock-45CZalman-38CPlaying Crysis on high and fans on maxStock-70CZalman-63CWhilst thoughs numbers could not be that impressive that is around a 20 degree drop in fahrenheit. NOTE* Also I must add that I currently had seriously very good cooling in my laptop or computer. I had an right after marketplace CPU fan and 3 120mm fans. So that is possibly why I didn't see as considerably of a lower in temps as other people today have simply because my cooling was currently very good, I just produced it even far better.Bottom Line-This is a really fantastic and insanely quiet GPU fan that will get the job performed for a low cost. I would extremely advise it to anybody who desires an following market cooler to decrease temps and make their gaming laptop or computer significantly quieter. So go acquire it now while its on SALE!

I purchased this for my EVGA Geforce 9600 GT. Technically it wasn't supported according to the manual but it fit fine using the fourth set of holes. This cooler dropped my idle/peak temperature from 54C኶C to 38CነC.The ram sinks, and thermal grease are a bit affordable, but they operate just fine for me. Just follow the directions and make sure you clean off ALL of the old thermal grease, or they won't stick. Makes use of a standard 3-pin fan plug. Doesn't come with a splitter/adapter.Don't strategy on placing something in your closest two pci slots. This point is huge. This cooler is incredibly a lot worth the price in my opinion, but unless you're overclocking you can in all probability get by with the cheaper zalman coolers.
