Massive heat sink and quiet fan with controller. Long line of compatible video cards with simple to install directions. The blue LED is a nice touch. Quickly Shipping. High price tag. Simply because of its size the heat sink is heavy. Be aware that not removing the card for the duration of transport could quickly split your video card to two pieces if adequate force is applied. I feel safe to transport about the home if necessary but absolutely not inside of a vehicle. Ideal fit on my XFX GeForce 8600GT card, too best, at initially I thought it would not fit. For the full list of compatible cards take a look at the Zalman site and search for the model number. It is a very good cooler. I advise this to everyone attempting to create a quiet pc. If you don’t care about silence then you can get a greater deal from an additional brand that provides same cooling efficiency for much less.

- It's practically inaudible, even on full speed.- Enormous drop in core temperature ࿞C on load, down from 80C)- Incredibly easy install- Doesn't look bad, though the blue LED is kinda lame. - Heavy and big (compared to stock 8800 GT cooler)- Included RAM heat sinks are poor (I advise supplementing this cooler with the Swiftech MCW8800 M21 kit) I went all out and bought the Swiftech MCW8800 M21 kit and some Artic Sliver Almunia thermal epoxy. One problem I ran into during the install is the VF1000 doesn't have really adequate clearance for the Swiftech heat sinks. I located that there is adequate play in the heat pipes to not put too significantly pressure on the surrounding heat sinks or to harm the VF1000. Nonetheless, if I was to do this install once again, I would make certain to trim down the Swiftech head sinks prior to epoxying them.

Stock screecher was - 60 idle/ 88 loadThis cooler-------------- 47 idle/ 62 load 25c lower below load very impressive. 4850 requirements 12 mini sinks , only comes with 8 , I just cut the voltage regulator sink part off the old stock heat sink and that seems to do just fine. Purchased a MSI 4850R two years ago or.. whenever this card was new, and just now got about to replacing the stock cooler/heatsink, I even had to make myself break a fin of the stock fan just so i'd have to get a new cooler :P Break 1 of the small fins and it vibrates the whole laptop or computer case and is even louder. haha.

Can not be beaten. This thing took my overclocked 3870 from idling at 50c to idling at 30c and took full load down from 75c to 45c, will definitally acquire from zalman again. Don't get a wire stuck in the fan...... I hit 100c, due to the fact I forgot to tie the case fan cable down. but the game did run for about an hour before it overheated so I can not complain. if you want to get some far more juice out of your card, then get this.

Does not push hot air to the rear of the tower.Looks great (not excellent)Overall size is smaller then OEM XFX 4890 fan/heatsinkQuieter then OEM Fanweight is less then OEM fan/heatsinkFun to install! Does NOT cool as effective as OEM fan/heatsink for XFX 4890 basically simply because the fan on OEM can push alot additional air via the heatsink.Does NOT connect to OEM fan connector.Manual fan control.More wires then I'd like to have from an after market heatsink.Comes with double sided tape for fan controller. Meaning you have to put double sided tape on your tower and thats a NO GO. I believe it is a very good cooler for an individual that does not thoughts the wires. I must not have but a couple of wires visible in my case. Buddies say I have OCD but I just like a clean appear. I saw a smaller decrease in heat from OEM cooler. Not enough to justify ใ.99OEM fan on low࿜C idleኦC load) Aftermarket fan on high࿓C idleኣC load)Case: Lian-li PC-A05NBMobo: Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUSCPU: Intel Q6600GPU: XFX 4890 OCPSU: BFG GX-550Sound: X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro

Silent, possibly the single quietest fan in my antec 900, even at 100% fan speed. Installs like a champ, it took a small fiddling about to figure out how the rubber/plastic pieces and all the screws went in contemplating that mine did not come with directions and I am assuming your will not either. The v-ram heatsinks went on effortless and stayed on. On a side note, it looks fairly! I believed the price was a little bit high for a heatsink in fan but I later decided that did not matter when I got the box and realized all the extra goodies that it came with. For air cooling I cannot complain, it gets the job completed.

Looks cool, takes up less space and makes much less noise than my stock cooler. Full power, stock GPU settings it wont get the temps within 5*C of the stock program on auto cool and OC'ed. went from 40-44C idle to 50-51C and 55-60C under load to 68-70C I run two Asus EN9800GTX+ in SLI and this one is going to be moved to the secondary card when i get the water cooling program started

none I have a EVGA GTX275 and it didnt fit at all. None of the holes matched up and there werent sufficient heatsinks to cover the RAM and the heatsinks all fell off immediately after 10 minutes. Its a piece of junk dont obtain it. We tested it on my friends 9800 GPU and there was no change in temp. Dont waste your income on this. No EGGs for this one

Works wonderful!! Dropped my GPU temp by 20 degrees C. It now runs at ambient most of the time. The fan power connector is the bigger style for connecting to the motherboard, so I couldn't connect it to the video card itself. The video card has the smaller style connector. Because of this, my software program doesn't show the fan speed. Adds new life to a superior video card.

Quiet, a enormous step up over my stock fans that came with my HD 4850. Temps cool way down although playing games ྾-60C vs 70-90C) . None, other then it cost money. If you want to quiet down the PC, or lower temps for the price this fan ought to defiantly be on your list.

The primary heat sink is great, it's quiet, and does specifically what you want. You're truly paying for the copper brick here, so ultimately you're finding what you pay for. DO NOT rely on the ram heat sinks that come in the package. Six months immediately after putting them on my 8800gt the ram sinks are falling off. I don't think I need to explain how unsafe that is.Merely put, purchase better heat sinks and don't use the ones in the box. You sill have to acquire heat sinks for the 8800gt because it lacks sinks for the energy chips.

Utilizing on a Zotac GTS250. With stock heatsink, temps had been 45C-47C at idle and 87C-97C below load. With the Zalman idle is 32C-35C, full load temps are 42C-44C. Extremely quiet. Easy to install. None Got here quickly. In fact lowered CPU temps and Case temps by 2C as well.

This was effortless to install on my XFX Radeon 4890. My card, overclocked to 950񳀼 never got above 70 C when operating the Furmark test which is meant to destroy your card. I think that is a testament to the zalman vf1000 (and probably my antec 900 as properly) None.

Does a stellar job at cooling my HD 5830. I live in Arizona and the summers can get fairly hot, depending whether or not I use the AC or Swamp Cooler :PIdle Temp- 39-42°Full Load- 52-59°The stock fan on my HD 5830 created horrible sounds proper upon boot up and would not cool the card appropriately, ordered this the similar day and 3 days later I got it back and running once again. None that I can believe of at the moment. I tested this cooler via the games I usually play, WoW, BF: BC2, SC2, and Crysis, and it by no means went above 60°. Zalman makes excellent high quality products, I will undoubtedly get from them once again and recommend them.

My stock fan quit working on the MSI Cyclone 4890. This card was rather expensive when I bought it and I didnt want to throw it out so I began searching for a replacement fan but fell short. Then I came across this on Newegg. Whilst the cooler doesnt specifically name my card as compatible I knew from the looks of it that it had the identical mounting technique so I gave it a try. Mounting and fitment are prefect and so far it has done a excellent job at keeping the card cool. Matter a reality a lot cooler then the stock unit.Zalman is the only cooler company I would ever use on my stuff. Kinda pricey

It looks extremely well built. This supports 4870, but not 4870x2 for those who are seeking to replace your loud 4870x2. If you are searching to get this for your card double check their site to see if they support your video card.4870 and 4870x2 are two various points in the listing...

Does as advertised, keeps my GFX card cooler than it was running on the stock heatsink and fan! 10 degrees (Celsius) lower idle temps and 20 degrees lower gaming temps. Fan power cord only hooks up to the 3 pin molex, case fan plug in on your motherboard, I already had that occupied with my case fan, but luckily I had an adapter for it (an adapter which this product lacks) Attached to Geforce 9800GT SSC, original stock temperatures had been running at 62 C idle, up to 106 C gameplay (even with the case door open). With this attached, I'm currently running at 51 C idle, and observed it go no higher than 91 C, although it mostly hangs around 87 C.I no longer have to believe about the possibility of frying eggs on my GFX card, which is really comforting.

The stock fan on my HD4850 gave up right after a blade got bent, but even under the greatest conditions the gpu would hit 80-85C. I ran it wide open for two hours with this thing on silent mode and it peaked at 50C. It even fit in between the video card and a pci surround sound card on a micro ATX board! Nicely accomplished....thanks! Nothing included to address the voltage regulator part of the card. Only ramsinks are included. The ram sinks are a small fussy, just make certain to get all the oily goo left by the original heatsink pads off before sticking on the new ones. Dont leave the vrm's on the end of the card to bake although....with the 4850 i cut off the stock heatsink just beyond the little metal pegs and put it back with two of the original screws.

Simple enough install. Chicks dig it when you take issues apart and still function when you put them back together. Does not plug into the 4 pin little fan plug on the card 񣳠GT) so you can't vary the fan speed from the NVIDIA control panel, so i just leave it on 100% with the fan mate. <mega>Overclocked 8800GT does not even hit 50degrees celcius with this factor on. Idle temps are low. I have mass effect 2 running in the background and its at 40 degrees C.
