Dropped temp 10 degrees Celsius from stock passive heat sink on a Sparkle 9500GT. Uncomplicated installation, and quite quiet. None I would extremely advocate this VGA cooler.

Nice size, not as well large. Quite uncomplicated installation. Great, higher-quality, sturdy create. Most importantly, cools really proficiently. This is a excellent cooler for the price tag! Practically inaudible at silent setting and still cools efficiently. On higher setting, there is a light hum, but nothing at all also obnoxious. I owned a vf900 a couple of years ago, and though I do not have the statistics, the 900 is most likely a better cooler. The 900 does price about twice as a lot even though. Also, I wish it came with a fan controller like the vf900. Essentially bought two of these to use for my Radeon 4850 X2! The stock fan was a bit as well loud for my liking and decided to take a possibility on installing two of these. They both fit and operate fine. I am working with silent mode 24ǝ and the idle and in game temps are about equal to the stock cooler, but w/o the noise. It would likely cool greater if I set the fans on max and use a better thermal paste (I employed the paste that came with it). General a good obtain, and I would advise to anyone that desires to switch out their stock hsf on the 4850 x2 or possibly 4870 X2! I hear you can also use the vf900's but those would expense twice as much. You probably won't go wrong either way.

did what it was supposed to. my asus 4850 was operating at 87 C on idle! this got it down to about 50 C. Playing Starcraft two Beta under one hundred% GPU load, the temps got to about 85-87 C. not a con but i wish i could handle the fan speed with out added accessories My power supply had power connectors with FAN labels on them. When utilizing these connectors, I don't consider the fan was operating at its total speed, and the card would not cool properly. Utilizing the standard connectors fixed the problem.

Replaced a loud stock fan on my new Asus card. This a single is incredibly quiet, and cools good as well. A bit involved of an install, but the directions had been really very good. Every step was covered. and it really all went with each other the 1st try! Let it sit overnight prior to installing it in your Computer. I read some challenge testimonials from people that put it in to soon and had parts falling off. I waited 24 hours as the directions mentioned and it's all rock solid now!

Very good price, simple set up, quiet. Doesn't cover all the ram chips on my 8800GT Alpha Dog card, but due to the fact it isn't listed as supported I can't grade down for this. Also attracts dust like it was Pigpen, but a speedy dust with some canned air each once in awhile takes care of that. Have these on two diverse video cards a 7900GT and an 8800GT Alpha Dog Edition and temps on both are ridiculously greater.Old temps 8800GT 57Idle኶(!!!)LoadNew Temps 46IdleኞLoadNuff said!

Keeps card cool, directions are clear, quite quiet. Copper fins were a tiny long to fit into the Apevia Qpack2 case, but wire cutters took care of that. Replaced the stock fan on the Sapphire Radeon 3870, WAY quieter and cooler. Really great obtain.

-Several functions.-All copper.-Zalman. IT DID NOT FIT ON MY GIGABYTE HD4670!! If you have an HD4670 card then I would advise to go with the VF900! This is just a shout out to 4670 owners. Wish it worked.

Comment:
This cooler is outstanding for its cost. I bought this to go on an old AGP Radeon X850 Pro 256 that I had unlocked the added four pipelines on and overclocked to match the X850 XT Platinum Edition. The problem was the stock cooler was merely not sufficient. I generally hit temperatures of 65C-70C below load. Right after putting in the VF700-CU, the GPU under no circumstances goes over 55C beneath load. Not bad for a ษ investment. This card and cooler are nevertheless in use a year later and are performing perfectly. So if your seeking for an affordable cooler to drop your stock or overclocked temps by an average of 10C-15C, then this is the product for you. Not to mention the RAM coolers are nice as properly, it drops the all round card temp about 3C additional than the GPU alone. So about 13C-18C temperature drop. None. This cooler, like quite a few others, functions so well because it makes quite firm speak to to the GPU. Its straightforward to install if you take your time and follow the instructions, but you will discover that it puts a lot of downward force on the GPU, this is how it's intended to be. Merely take it slow and pay attention to what your performing and it will be fine.

Universal style fits even my old XFX GeForce 6600GT AGP card. Stock heatsink would idle at about 40 degrees, this a single requires it down to 34 degrees. Sticks out rather a bit off the edge of the card (still fits in my situation even though). RAM sinks did not fit my 6600GT AGP card because the heatsink was over major of them. Would have to file them down.

Superior item, when employed properly. This DOES NOT fit a Nvidia 9400GT appropriately. I had to eliminate two O-rings in order to tighten thumb screws tighter so the heatsink base would touch my GPU.The Nvidia 9400GT PCI-E card will hold this cooler, nonetheless there are clearance issues in between the back half of the copper heatsink fins and my adjacent PCI slot. I did not detract an egg for this, i ordered it based on the reality it was inexpensive and figured i could make it function. I did detract an egg for the inability to spin up the fan to a higher RPM. The 3plug male is not compatible with the 2plug female located on virtually all Nvidia cards. So following having to modify this cooler quite a bit to fit my application it does cool rather effectively. I would advise checking present help for your product. Anticipate 10-13c degree drops in temp when making use of this more than stock cooling fan (which failed following a month).

* A lot much more quieter then the fan my XFX 8600GT came with, but not "silent" in "silent" mode. Haven't attempted "normal" mode yet.* Installation is EZ* Came with plenty of ram sinks.* Doesn't connect to Graphic Card fan connector * Tends to make some noise although my 2 other fans for the HD an d CPU heatlink are dead silent. * GPU idles at 51c, not positive how everybody else is getting 35c? (using Arctic Silver 5 also)* Fans don't adjust with heat. You have to plug it out and connect a various plug to get a larger fan speed. (fan has two speed possibilities, by switching plugs). Silent mode does tends to make some noise, but not as negative as the jet noise coming from the stock XFX fan. My CPU is liquid cooled and I'm considering about extending it to my VGA card. I would like this technique to be dead silent. Not positive why the huge fan operating by means of the liquid cooling technique is so silent??

I personal a PNY GeForce 9800GT 1024MB GDDR3 graphics card. It has a single slot classic heatsink and a terribly loud fan when it is below complete load. It does 73C on idle and up to 120C on full load which is like as if a nuclear bomb were to be in my case. Right after a couple of months, the fan stopped working totally which triggered the card to overheat. Fortunately there was no physical damage to the GPU but only to the fan.Not taking any odds, I picked up the ZALMAN VF700-CU and installed it onto my 9800GT. Installation was fast and straightforward, though I had to look at the directions a few times but hey I got it operating. With a drop of AC5 thermal paste, my 9800GT now idles at 50C and does 85C on full load which is a fantastic improvement more than the stock regular heatsink and fan.Even while it is connected straight into the 12v, the fan is unnoticeable. Unnoticeable and nonetheless keeps my 9800GT cool indicates "win" for Zalman. If it works, then none at all. This ZALMAN VF700-CU saved my 9800GT from essentially becoming a nuclear bomb in my case. I am quite satisfied to be in a position to use my mainstream Computer when once again with out possessing to be concerned about a loud fan going at complete load all the time.I will obtain an additional 1 in the future for my major Pc, which carries an XFX RADEON HD 4850 1024MB GDDR3 graphics card.

Swapped this cooler from my 8600gt to my new XFX 9800gt. Simple and fast installation. Cools extremely nicely on both, 8600 and 9800 each idled at 56-59*C. Following putting this cooler on, they both idled around 45*C. Large difference. The noise distinction is enormous. From airplane level engine's to virtually silent. Not seriously a come but does take some room below the card, the heatsink will take up a slot underneath. Just a heads up. Price. Performance. Silence. I'm gonna purchase an other extremely soon.

The greatest graphic card cooling kit that you can come across out there... i got a Zalman cpu fan that i nstalled two years ago and working like a charm. On my x850 before the zalman fan install, was runing about 67c. Now im getting 50c on idle. Excellent price tag on specific. The very same fan is sellin gin a local laptop or computer shop for 40$ + tax. None i can believe off I recomend zalman item for your cooling. Speaking from my experience. Good job Newegg for delivering in 24hours.

Fantastic value, effortless install, Quality Unit. This cooler will bring temps DOWN quietly. None that I can see. My old 9400GT runs Fallout three smoothly, only the stock sink was not handling the job, and I experienced frequent overheats and lockups. I'm not a hardcore sufficient gamer to justify acquiring spendy with a new card, so this cooler fit the bill. It brought temps down below load from crashy 200F to 160ishF and carrying out common desktop duty at 140F. Remarkable, contemplating this card was near 175 at idle before the install. I believe it will hold my card alive for a although, thank you quite considerably.

I have a GeForce 7950 GT video card which was burning up on the stock cooler immediately after a year and half at a awesome 91 degrees Celsius! I place this child on and it dropped it down to 64 degrees beneath a complete load. The greatest component is it dropped my CPU from 64C to 44C since now the CPU isn't compensating for the slowed GPU. Installation was uncomplicated and it comes with a ton of spare parts to fit just about any card. I will surely purchase another one. Also came with eight RAM heatsinks for the GPU. It's huge, but it fit Coupled it with Arctic Thermal Silver

A lot far more cooling than the stock on my video card. Well produced and operates very effectively. Have to be incredibly careful installing it - don't forget to put the little O rings on the screws on each sides of the board.Make positive you are not ordering this model for a PCI card as it will not perform - clearance is not right.

Bought these to go on an aging GTX card in an all-aircooled situation. Worked wonderfully for about two years. Much quieter than the stock fan on the card. Immediately after two years of use, the heat sink pads for the RAM came off. The way the card was mounted had these parts upside down and over time, gravity and heat cycling softened the adhesive. Finally the ram was no longer protected and the card burned itself up.

Brought the temp of my ATI HD3850 from an unbelievably hot 55C idle኶C load down to 30C idle኎C load. This is the very first time I have ever had to put an aftermarket cooling device on a video card, and it was less complicated than I thought it was going to be. Had to bend the back plate really slightly to line up with the holes on the card.
