I in fact enjoyed putting this on my vidcard due to the fact it truly felt sturdy. I had put it on a 8600gt which I think the fan was starting to fail. The temp went from 55-60c IDLE load was 66-75c to 40-42c idle and under load is about 55-60c now. 1ǚth the actuall price of the video card. Will put this to work on a different card when I get the likelihood. Use Arctic 5 on it for very best results, but make sure to use tiny dab. :).

Superior cooler. It lowered my temps by about 6-8 degrees (C) idle and 10-15 degrees (C) load. It replaced a poor oem fan on a 9500gt and installed perfectly. Fan is extremely quiet on silent mode, but nonetheless keeps issues cool. If I were smart I would have upgraded sooner and not waited as long as I did. None.

I've owned this cooler for about 2-three years. It keeps a GeForce 9600 GPU below 40C most of the year. It has a solid construction and seems nicely-created. Not a enormous deal, but it does protrude enough beneath the graphics card to render the subsequent card slot on the mobo unusable. Just as with a CPU cooler, I feel it's commonly worth acquiring a properly-created high-end cooler for any very good GPU.

Fits like a glove. Very nicely produced. No complaints with the item itself. Superb! There isn't anything wrong with this VGA Cooler. In my opinion it is ideal! On my HP personal computer that has the Geforce9500GS VGA card installed it is a very tight fit. Be careful installing it on the VGA card and in your pc. It is incredibly easy to damage one thing. It is not a challenge with the Zalman, it is just the nature of operating with SMT components and tight quarters in the pc. Rather of sending my card back for the fan difficulty recall (look it up) on the Geforce9500GS VGA card, I installed this cooler. The fan on the OEM cooler appears low cost. I know the history on my VGA card and it wasn't overheated just quite noisy! I am confident that the ICs on my VGA card had been not stresssed and prone to premature failure. This is why I preferred to maintain the original VGA card and upgrade the cooler.

Got this for my NVidia 6600 which, with the stock fan, was running at 100c when gaming, and 70c idle, this cooler brought the temp down to about half that, about 60c when gaming. Not all of the ram heat syncs had been able to be applied due to interference from the cooler itself, this didn't bother me, but I thought I need to mention it. Sadly that card passed on recently, so I gave the cooler to a friend, if my new card has cooling issues I'll be acquiring yet another of these for certain.

I've utilised two of these now and have been impressed both occasions. Extremely quiet, extremely cool. On my very first install I experienced temp drops of 40C under stress and 30C idle, and a similar drop for my new machine. And this was on the "quiet" mode. none pay attention to the direction you install it in. The long copper heatsyncs need to have to be facing away from the motherboard.

Everything! Value, performance and noise. I had this for more than two years on a PNY 7600gs and it seemed to manage the job just sufficient. At the time I had an old Antec Super Lanboy case. I've given that moved into a CM Storm Scout and put this cooler on a Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 AGP and WOW! This cooler functions so great in a proper case that on auto fan manage my card idles at 37c and the fan stops! Furmark torture test only gets it up to 71c soon after 60 minutes and the fan in no way spins up past 70 percent. How quietly the fan runs is the greatest bonus. Though noticable at 100 % you actually have to listen difficult to hear it at 70%. All in all this is a incredibly great product in the proper case. I paid pretty much 50 bucks when I purchased it over two years ago. For ฮ it's a should have for cards it will fit.

great upgrade from stock. i have an XFX 8800GT and it fits perfectly. on silent mode, 44c idle, 74c burn. full speed mode, 40c idle, 61c burn. stock HSF practically reached 87c burn, scary! incredibly content with the 13 degree drop in temperature. i currently have it set to silent mode and it is Significantly quieter than my stock HSF, i cant even tell that my laptop is on mainly because its so quiet now!bottom line... Quieter and Cooler short fan cable (less than 1 foot). included adapter is incredibly primitive which connects to a molex connector and splits off to two 12 volt and two 5 volt 3 pin fan connectors. thats how you switch between silent mode and full speed mode - unplugging the cable and switching to a diverse voltage connector. Looked good, waste of time. Purely my fault for ordering...... Attempted to "fix it with additional hole", my loss. I will use on an additional computer running ATI X850xt pe. Does not work with ATI Radeon 4670 HD 1gig. I will stick with Arctic Cooling for my VGA cooling needs. Manufacturer Response:Dear Value Consumer,On our web page and NewEgg's web site we in no way stated it will perform with ATI Radeon 4670 HD 1 gig, can you please let us know exactly where you find such facts. Thank you.Sincerely,Team Zalman USA

Really powerful, straightforward to install, affordable I had an added molex plug for the fan, so no large deal, but anyone who doesn't have one may well have trouble installing this fan. I had the Radeon HD4850 refrence card, which is a fantastic card, but would idle at 84C and go way greater under load! Immediately after two years, the original fan began to make a grinding sound and became just too loud! As soon as I replaced it with the Zalman VF700cu cooler, wow, it was like night and day! Perfectly silent and my idle temperature went down to 46C!!! Pretty much 40 degrees lower!!! Under load, I'm now about 80C, which is acceptable. One more plus is that it lowered the temperature of my whole method as well! Prior to this, my CPU would be around 50C and it is now about 45C, simply mainly because my graphic card is cooler!

Much cooler on my 9800gt than stock and quieter tooEasy install Plugged it into the motherbord as opposed to the 12v rail, 5v wasn't enough 12v seemed overkill, so far so excellent maxing out around 60C considerably quieter idling would like to have had the alternative to plug it in to the GPU so it could control speed, but the plug is 3-wire my card two-wire, hmm. Cool and quiet seems tougher than it must

this went on a 8800gt. on stock cooling i was seeing 71 degrees on idle and 95+ on load. installed the cooler, which is genuinely easy btw, took all of 20 minutes, and ive never carried out that prior to. following the cooler was installed, my idle went down to 51 degrees, and i now have it overclocked really a bit and on load i am seeing 75 degrees. so a 8800gt on a substantial overclock is four-6 degrees hotter on load than idle on the stock fan....i will purchase a vga cooler for all my videocards from now on. incredibly happy with this acquire! none what so ever. stock cooler 71 degrees on idle, 95+ on loadzalman install 51 degrees on idle, OC'ed with 75 degrees. i can locate my calculator, but i know these numbers are awesome

Fit nicely on my HIS ATI Radeon HD4870. Looks cool, silent..even when running at 12v. Wonderful replacement for the stock cooler. Price is proper. Includes thermal compound, important wiring, and a great powerful bracket. My idle temp is 52c and full load for an hour or so yields 78c...this could be my own fault due to thermal compound or something. I gave it a four out of 5 due to the fact it doesn't have automatic fan control...it just sits at a constant speed. I know it doesn't advertise this feature, but I thought that switching in between "silent mode" and "normal mode" would be accomplished through some sort of software control, but it is truly determined by how you plug in the power. Just use the 12v (black) connector...it is fairly significantly silent even when on standard mode anyway. From what I have read, 52c isn't too hot for my card, and GPU's generally run hotter anyway. Nonetheless, the stock heatsink & fan that went out right after 2 months was cooling far better than this is. Once again, this could be my application of the thermal compound, but I can't think I would be that far off!

Gpu idle temps went from 49-50C down to 38C. Quiet. Load temps went from 58-60c down to 43C. Looks excellent. None Had to modify left mounting tab, shortened 1ǚ" with dremel tool to keep away from hitting coil on graphics card. Works actually excellent, blows away stock fan and heat sink. Utilized Artic Silver Ceramique thermal paste. Must drop far more immediately after thermal paste "cures."

Notoriously hot ATI HD4850 went from 106 C under full load to 55 C, and 60 C idle to 44 C idle. Thoughts of it not fitting even though installing, but it fits fine. Just follow the directions

Works great, looks very good, and is quiet. Incredibly straightforward to install. Wish it had a 4 pin fan power connector to connect directly to the card, because the card has a digital display that now flashes due to the fact the fan is not connected. Also the motherboard I have (ASUS M3A78-EM) has the battery mounted correct subsequent to the x16 slot, and the card back support that comes with the Zalman in fact touches it. Absolutely nothing that a small heat sink tubing didn't fix. I employed this on a Sapphire Nvidia 9800 GT OC due to the fact the fans on the original heatsink were going out and lost a blade even though I was cleaning it.

1st thing I noticed about this cooler is how heavy it is - there's a lot of copper here and it's not been slapped together like some toy. It mounted incredibly nicely onto my video card and runs whisper quiet. Any and all heat related issues I had with my video card are now gone. This cooler really should be standard equipment considering the price of high performance video cards.... The only con is you will loose one adjacent card slot utilizing this cooler, small price to pay as I see it, but it may possibly present an issue for other people. If you can manage to make room for this cooler, you really should think about performing so.....

This cooler is incredible! I was always a little skeptical about putting a vga cooler on my 7600GT but when I read a review in here about yet another customer getting this cooler on a 7600 series card I had to give it a attempt. My card with the stock cooler used to idle about 55C and immediately right after putting this cooler on it was sitting at 41C idle. At full load with the stock cooler it would get all the way up to around 75C and now it only gets to about 49C to 52C load. This is the best cooler to keep my five year old card nice and cool. None

Is quieter and cools greater than the stock cooler on radeon 3870 graphics card. RAM heatsinks began to come off after 3 months, causing heat issues. Support non existent, no response to multiple emails. Only remedy left would be to obtain unique heatsinks or thermal adhesive. Disappointing. I have some other Zalman products and have been pleased with them but have never ever required support up till now. Can't say I would get anything from Zalman once more.

I installed this successfully on my ATI 4850 which originally had the infamous reference cooler. It idled at about 83 C and could pretty much by no means game for a lot more than an hour or so with out crashing. On the dead-silent low setting, the Zalman has dropped my idle temp to 53 C and now hits the the low 70s though gaming. On the high speed setting, it's about as loud as the reference cooler but with considerably greater performance - about 43-44 C idle and upper 60s under load. The cooler comes with 8 heatsinks for the video card memory, but some cards (like my 4850) had additional chips (I feel they are called "mosfets") that were cooled by the reference cooler, but the Zalman doesn't come with extra heatsinks for them. Nevertheless, even with those chips uncovered, in my testing so far, the card has been very stable, so, maybe, those chips don't really will need cooling anyway. I've observed a lot of critiques of folks making use of comparable items on their cards and receiving better temps than me- I need to note that my room is extremely, extremely hot, so the performance you get from this product will likely also be much better than mine. Purchased Monday night, cooler arrived Wednesday afternoon! Thank you Newegg!

Appears to be keeping my XFX Radeon 4870 cooler than the stock heatsink/fan. The "high" setting is roughly 15C cooler and Considerably quieter. Silent mode just doesn't cut it for this card. I also wish it was a 4 pin connector to just hook directly into the card's fan pins. A very good acquire. Only docked an egg simply because it's not overly great.

Works excellent! My ATI HD 3850 was continuously overheating. I couldn't play a game for more than 20 minutes just before it shut down. Now it every little thing is great.By the way this fan is not any louder than the stock fan was at at regular speed. Would be nice if there was an less complicated way to change the speeds from ultra-quiet to regular besides having to swap connectors. But for the cost I believe its fine. Looks cool. There appears to be enough space for a second Video card even though the box says otherwise.
