Looks nice in the box. The product does not work. The mounting hardware screws would not fit through the mounting bracket. In attempting to remove the one stripped screw the fan was broken. This is such an example of poor high quality manage (the incorrect screw size) that I would tell you all to invest your cash elsewhere. I know I will. I was so disgusted with this product that I won't even try to get my funds back. I would not have bought this cooler if a person else's assessment had mentioned that the mounting hardware had under no circumstances observed a top quality manage inspection .... I consider this merchandise high rating is going to quickly alter. Downward. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer,We are sorry to hear about the defective cooler. We will gladly replace it for you. All you will need to have to do is fill out the RMA form on www.zalman.com beneath the Customer Center.Greatest Regards,Zalman USA

I put the VF700-Cu on my old 6800GT AGP more than 2 years ago. Due to the fact then, the 6800GT has continued to run flawlessly. I know the VF700 cooler is quiter than stock but it's tough to hear something above the somewhat loud stock CPU cooler. None. I love all my Zalman coolers!

-Direct copper contact with Graphics chip-Reasonably quiet fan-Ram sinks included-Looks great-Great value -Make contact with surface was extremely rough from the machining procedure. Had to touch it up with some 600 grit wet/dry and polishing compound.-Does NOT fit all modern cards as advertised. Verify compatibility list on their web page to make sure it will fit on your card.-The thermal compound included (zinc oxide) is garbage. hugely advocate some sort of diamond paste instead Other than the mods I had to do to make this cooler work it seems to be a excellent cooler. I'm not noticing substantially of a temperature loss over the stock cooling but it is a lot quieter.

Mounted to my xfx 9600gso perfectly. Keeps my card at 43 degrees C in silent mode ƕv) and 40 C at common voltage. The original fan was non variable and incredibly loud all the time, this is much significantly quieter and nonetheless a good bit cooler. My load temperatures went down from a max of about 80 C to 72 C in silent mode and around 68C on full speed.Quite quiet, straightforward to install. It looks like this would have easily fit a 92mm fan As well quite a few cables, their are two 5v and two 12v plugs, I'll almost certainly pull the pins out of the adapter so I only have one of every.

Straightforward installation, quite clear instruction manual. RAM heatsinks already have an adhesive TIM pad so no extra good essential. Contains Zalman thermal grease but I employed Arctic Silver 5 as an alternative (will save the Zalman grease for close friends' builds, hehe). Greatest of all, my BFG 9800GT EcoIntelligence now idles at 38C and loads at 54C...It utilized to idle at 62C and load at a whopping 82C! Plus, the stock heatsink and fan blew the hot exhaust air suitable onto my hard drives (not very good at all!); this Zalman hsf does not blow onto my tough drives. None. Very, incredibly pleased with my purchase.

Every thing! Took a matter of minutes to install on an XFX8600GT. Silent compared to stock cooler. (could just be that my graphics card is operating so cool now that the fan doesn't require to function tough). Prior to this upgrade my video card was idling at 60c and under load would jump to 75c and keep climbing. Now it idles at 35c and holds steady at 39c during hours of gaming. It's big. Power connector doesn't fit on the graphics card. shipping was proper on this time. Way to go UPS and Newegg.

Fantastic heat sink. I applied this as a replacement to my stock passive cooling aluminum heat sink. It functions good and nonetheless does the job as expected. It was stated that this size would fit my graphics card and I spent a lot of time researching it to make sure I wasn't just waisting my time. The dilemma was it didn't fit so I had to file one of the holes to allow the screws to align appropriately. I'm not positive if my was defective but it was an effortless fix. Even with my dilemma I would nonetheless recommend this item. It is a great value for the overall performance it add. I have a low finish graphic card out of a dell case and necessary a thing to maintain my GPU from more than heating until I got myself a much better method.

Remember the 8600GTS's that had been selling for ฮ and ุ a even though back? - well they run fairly hot ࿘c and far better at idle, 70's beneath load, even in a very good (well ventilated) case. Well, with this cooler, (even in a cheap, smaller E-machines case), this idles at 43-44c, and only gets to 56c below load. Wish Zalman would add 1 more set of holes on the mounting arm, about two-3mm inboard of the present ones. - I wouldn't have to dissemble the heatsink to add a hole or two for the units that won't fit as-is (Like the Galaxy 9800GT low-profile card). - The arm is heat-treated (and Tough), and though this is a Very good issue, it's a bear to drill holes in. Fits two cards so far - the EVGA 8600GTS 鵀M), and the Galaxy (Low profile) 9800GT 512M. - Note - with the Low profile card, the fins are 1-1ǘ" above the card height, so this wouldn't work in a low-pro case. (I utilised this in an Apevia X-Cube)

My 9800GT's had been running way as well hot. 60C at idle, 100C+ gaming. I tried much more case fans, reapplying the thermal compound, with little impact. I couldn't play too lengthy prior to it would crash. I purchased a pair of these coolers even though it didn't explicitly say they'd fit, but the reviews were excellent and the price was proper. The mounting holes on the backet didn't very line up, so I drilled them out so they would. I installed them on my cards, and what a distinction. 32C idle, 62C gaming, and that's following I overclocked the cards! The overall performance is wonderful, the top quality of materials is incredibly very good, and as a bonus, the fans are a lot quieter than the stock ones. Wish they made it fit 9800's out of the box.

This item does a wonderful job! I installed this on a evga Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT and now it never ever goes above 55c. Before installing the Zelman, below load (in TF2 and L4D) the card would hit 72c - 75c. This fan was also extremely simple to install. Even the novice, taking their time, would have no problem right here. None, this fan and heatsink saved my card from burning up! I couldn't be happier with this...this Zelman fan is a quality item. By the way, this is a massive cooler, if you have a card in the slot beneath you could have to move it more than one slot...this Zelman tends to make the stock fan appear ridiculous!

I like the way this cooler installs. Incredibly uncomplicated with some frequent sense. Quite quiet. I installed this on a PNY 9800gt. The idle temps stayed the same, around 46c, but at load this card employed to run at 79-85c, but now with this cooler it only reaches about 69c, right after several hours of GTA4. None Fantastic get.

Quiet, powerful, and gorgeous, 1. This will not fit a low profile case. The dimensions are a little deceiving. Although the measurements are correct, you have to bear in mind that this card doesn't sit straight up and down, it connects diagonally. Rather of 90 cm tall consider far more like 120 seated on the card.2. The thermal tape on the ram heatsinks really does suck, but if you are careful and patient it will function. I applied the the back mounting plate (before it was attached) to apply pressure to them evenly across my card. I also totally advise letting it sit overnight to remedy prior to finishing. My GPU went from 65C at idle to 40C and from 85C at load to 55C beneath the largest load I could throw at it. More amazing is that this item doesn't technically assistance my low-profile Galaxy GeForce 9600 GT. Even though the size is technically a small off, there are rubber grommets that fit on both sides of the mounting screws and they can enable for some space. As an alternative of the screws sitting straight up and down it's more like a V shape, but it tightened fine by hand and entirely covers the GPU.I wish I bought the a single that lights up blue.

I have two GeForces (a 7600 and an 8500) that are perfectly serviceable but each 1 has a dirt low cost fan and each and every one whines like a bag full of cats. I've been modding systems for 20 years but for some reason just grinned and bore it with loud video cards. However now one thing had to be accomplished. Installation directions are incredibly clear, and assembly takes all of 15 minutes. On a GeForce 7600 idle temp went from 51 deg C to 35 deg C (measured with GPU-Z) and that's with the fan set to Low. Even at the high setting (a dual pigtail off a 4 pin Molex makes it possible for to to pick this) the fan can not be heard from a foot away. In a closed case it is undetectable. This goes on the GeForce 8500 this weekend. It's costly compared to the low-cost ones but you get what you pay for. In the grand scheme of things it is a bargain though. A small on the heavy side but the weight is concentrated near the MB connector so the cards I've put it on barely deflected at all. May well not fit all cards but do your due dilligence. The Zalman site has a excellent listing of what it fits. I got two of these and a ICEBERG CCB-A4P at half the value. The Iceberg could be heard accross the room. As I stated, you get what you spend for. The Icerberg went appropriate back in the box and was RMA'd. Oh, and isn't it regular to say "NewEgg ROCKS!"

Like i mentioned in my initially assessment, my fault. I had been seeking at these for an hour or so, I believed the one I selected had mentioned that. Right after receiving, I went to the website and saw that it was an additional cooler. Anyways, couldnt wait for a different fan, I want my machine. So i Modded the cooler to fit, no worries. Metal bracket is hard to drill by way of. lol Idle temp is 31c and load at 53c. Cooler does not work with ATI Radeon 4670HD 1gig, unless you put a different hole in the bracket.

Installed on a Sapphire 4850 that was reading 86C on idle andfan was very loud and "whiny". Took off the large Sapphire cooler and installed this a single in about 30 min tops. Recordedidle temps amongst 47C and 54C and card was essentially silent.Big distinction! Very pleased with efficiency. Fantastic acquire! Heatsink tape quite flimsy but directions mentioned they would bond with time. Also, fan connector had to go to molex pluginnot controlled by board. Not actually a ding mainly because cooler works quite effectively. Terrific Buy!

Purchased this to replace the OEM cooler that just burned up and popped into three pieces on my ATI AIW 9800 Pro Card. Overall a great product. On all cards but an ATI All-In-Wonder series, installation really should be a breeze. This cooler works significantly far better than the OEM fan. Sadly my card does not report temp so I can not give precise numbers, but I have notices a substantial improvement in game frame rate. Installation on my ATI AIW 9800 card was a bit more complicated. Had to cut off the 1st 6 fins on the heat sink. A pair of diagonal cutters functions nicely for this. Following that the cooler fit on nicely. This and some Arctic Silver 5 can seriously improve the performance of an older graphics card. I am pleased now that the cooler is installed and hope this one particular lasts longer than the OEM did.

Very quiet, even on standard setting. Didn't even know it was running till I checked my video cards temperature! Just before my card would run hot on high loads, now it's not even middling! One of the ram heat sinks refused to stick and kept falling off when I was receiving it all set up, so hopefully it sticks lengthy sufficient for the tape to cure. Extremely quick install and it's nice to have a fan that'll fit any card. (with some exceptions!) We'll see how it fairs for a few days, as this is just my initial impression.

SilentCools like no otherInexpensiveZalman Quality Brand Heatsinks are inexpensive (to be expected for the cost) but they do function but I would invest in some copper or at least some less expensive aluminum ones. I have had 1 for three+ years now on my dads 7600GT and it has ran @ complete speed since day 1 and is still in amazing shape.I have by no means seen a fan run for so long without having creating noise/messing up but this cooler has surprised me for the value (at the time was ฤ total) and was dollars nicely spent.

It does what I expected it to. Even though not whisper quiet, it's not a loud droning or buzzing, either; a lot more of a soft whoosh. It's also properly made and feels fairly durable, except the fins anyway. Cooling wasn't as considerably as I'd hoped, but it does the job. I can't fault it here, due to circumstances. (See other thoughts.) I bought this for a 9800 GT, which isn't particularly listed in the Zalman documentation, but the mounting holes allow it to fit. The GPU was given to me by a friend immediately after its cooling had failed and he was tired of messing with it, but it had temporarily knowledgeable quite high temperatures. This cooler only brings it down to about 55 C idle and 80 C load, which whilst in the tolerable zone makes me wonder if it was adequate to harm the core in some way. Thinking about all of the conditions, though, I'd say this is a very good buy. This is likely the cheapest, but namebrand, aftermarket cooler for a greater-endish card you'll find.

Installed this on a SAPPHIRE Radeon X1600XT 256MB 128-bit. The stock fan crapped out and the v-card was running at 76 degree at idle and 140 degree playing Left four Dead. Occasionally the card will get so hot that my computer automatically shuts down.I installed the Zalman VF700 and idle temp dropped to ㅚ degrees and max temp when playing games exactly where about 45 degree. The VF700 kept my card at those temps no matter what I threw at it. The fan is really silent, I can't hear it more than my case fans that are also extremely really. i've utilized it for about 2 weeks and haven't noticed any cons yet. may be a small tricky to install.i employed artic five thermal paste rather of what came in the box
