Good Fan, Bad Bracket
Comment:
This fan works great and is very quiet. However, the "X" style plastic mounting bracket can be a problem. This depends on the soldered connections on the back of the MB and wether they interfer with the bracket. I had to cut/file clearance in three areas (on the bracket) for it to lay flat on the board and avoid stress on the board and affected connections. Once I got past this hurdle, the fan mounted easy enough. Does a nice job of keeping the CPU cool. PS don't use the supplied cooling paste, get a fresh tube.

Makes my PC silent!
Comment:
Every summer I dreaded using my PC (socket 775, Pentium 3.6GHz) for gaming as the Intel cpu stock fan will make a annoying high-pitched whining noise. Since I installed ZEROtherm CF900 there is no noise! ...superb product :)

I got this because my friends use the same one and it has some fantastic specs on cooling. My issue was that I just purchased the nVidia 790i Ultra motherboard, NO FIT. The heatpipes that come off from the side are too low and bump into the cooling fins on the motherboard. Have to return it :(

I am using this on a mATX home theater PC build. It is keeping my core 2 quad nice and cool. It is also the quietest CPU fan I have used. It was a little hassle getting this to work with my motherboard, (the heat pipes covered up the cpu fan leads) but I managed to work my way around that with no issues.

I love this cooler. First time buying a cooler and I would buy this one again. I'm running a core 2 dual 2.6ghz at 94C before I installed the cooler. Now I'm at 29C. When playing games it gets about 36C. I used the OCZ Freeze Thermal Paste.

Seemed like a good buy and nice design, however, all the trouble of removing my motherboard, putting the plate underneath it and installing the cooler was for naught as my computer then wouldn't boot afterwards. I think the plate caused my board to bend or twist and gave me a boot error and wouldn't even POST. Took it out put on the stock Intel heatsink and fan and it booted fine again. I have an XFX Force 780i motherboard. I gave it a two as a benefit of the doubt as I might of done something wrong. I went and bought the V1 Thermaltake and was running in about 15 minutes without a problem. I'd spend the extra for the V1 if your looking at a good heatsink/fan setup.

I first noticed that I didn't hear this fan... which scared me after my last build with an antec 900 case and zalman all copper cpu fan. I checked to ensure that it was moving... I checked to ensure that it wasn't overheating... I sat back and enjoyed my new media center. I was astonished with the performance to sound ratio of this cpu fan. Perfect choice for my media center build and I couldn't be happier with tiger's service.

Bought this as a temporary fan for my Intel Core 2 Quad 2.6 GHz and starts system at 35oC and runs at about 38-42oC idle. Eventual transfer to be used on P4 when crossfire MOBO arrives. Fan is worth it for anyone not looking to spend vast cash and have something that cools well. It has only reached 52oC once and that was probably due to 80% of cpu being used for crysis and music downloads. Runs at 46-48oC when sole focus is on crysis. Running setup in Silverstone Lascala LC20M with Asus P5N E and two E-Gefore 8600s. put in vantec stealh fans(4) and the case sounds quiet like a mouse.

One of the BEST fans I've ever had. Surprisingly quiet and efficient. The copper fins make it an idle choice for all types of intel cpus.

Seems to be worked well. The fan idles at 700rpm... really slow, but the CPU sits at 40 degrees too so I can't complain! Mounting design is very solid, but you have to remove the motherboard to get the back plate on. It is very very quiet as advertised. LEDs are not very bright, and the thermal paste that came with it was AWFUL. Grey and chunky and dry. Got a tube of Speeze thermal gel and had no problems.

The fan runs great so far. Had to replace the back plate to install it, but I'm glad I did. The fan runs very quietly, compared to the cheap fan that came with my PC, which sounded like a vacuum cleaner when running heavy programs and games. The only setback is the copper pipes are a little too close to my Ram, so I had to put something in-between to keep the heat from it. The Blue light matches my PC power light, so that's a plus. Honestly, I thought the fans low RPM couldn't handle my Pentium D processor, which are known to run very hot, very fast. I'm glad I gave it a chance. Good buy.

I bought this cooling fan about a year ago. It is even fitting into my Ultra micro case. The CPU in my machine is P4 3.4. I had many problems when I had used the original intel CPU fan came with the CPU 1. the CPU temperature somthing over 70C and got overheat. 2. the rpm sometimes got over 4000 rpm and created terrible noises. After I have used ZEROthem/CF900 with the themo paster came with it, my CPU temperature is arround 50C and 55C at the room temperature is over 90F. the CPU fan rpm is still 2000 to 3000 rpm. This make it much quieter. I highly recommand this air cooling product.

Well, boy the troubles I've had with the heatsink!! I'm running a 2.4 quad core processor, and this fan just could not keep up at all. I had tons of problems getting the fan to sit on the processor correctly. Not because my case was to small, but because it screws through the motherboard, so trying to keep it level on the processor is a true pain. Basically my system would not work for more then a few minutes with this heatsink. I'm not overclocking either. I went & bought a basically stock heatsink, snapped it onto the board & my system works fine now. Never again will I buy a fancy heatsink.
