Good brushed aluminum, color altering LEDs primarily based on voltage, comes with 3 pin Y splitters so the motherboard can still monitor fans although its hooked up to the controller. Knobs suck. They have a lot of wobble in them and the fans essentially modify speed slightly if there hit because of all the play. Unit also only regulates voltage amongst 1-11. Should be capable to turn them off totally. Most fans won't spin until you hit 7, but thats standard with most fan controllers. Sunbeam tends to make a a lot better fan controller.

Controlls up to 6 unique fans. A tiny loose in the case. A single screw isn't sufficient to mount it.

-Fits nicely into a my situation. -I was capable to get ride of a horrific mess of wires in my case and was able to tidy up the inside really nicely. All the fans acquire their power from the controller so you don't have a confusing maze of power connectors if you use more than three fans.-LED's turn red when fan is operating above 90% or so, I like it. -The surface finish on the controller is exceptional. Unit looks sharp. Lighting is not annoyingly vivid. It functions. Set up fine in a tool-less case (see other thoughts). As one more reviewer stated, it doesn't give one hundred% power to the fans. My 1200rpm fans only reach 1100. This is ok for me because the purpose I wanted a fan controller is to decrease the noise. They'll constantly be set somewhere significantly less than 100% anyway, but you could want larger rpm fans for this unit if your process heats up effortlessly. Oddly, lights are blue at low rpm and red when turned up previous 20% (give or take). I constantly thought red was for "stop" or at least "slow" but possibly I'm nit-choosing here. I deduct an egg for the power reduction considering that a future rebuild could warrant max fan speeds. My situation is a CoolerMaster Centurion 534 RC-534-KKN2-GP. I ripped out the tool-less fittings in the five 1ǘ" drive bay section. You can screw in any device that goes in that bay. There are holes on one side and slots on the other that line up perfectly for any optical drive or swap drive bay. This fan controller seats completely with all four screws. The 3 1ǘ" cages are a unique story. Screw holes aren't there for the most component. You'll want to retain those cages tool-much less.

This controller looks great in a Silverstone Sugo SG-01. The leds match completely! The aluminum looks to be the identical quality then my Silverstone situation. The leds aren't blindingly vibrant. They're just enough to show you which ones are turned up, and which ones are set to silent. The knobs do seem a bit flimsy, but they're not so undesirable that I really feel like they're going to fall off.You can't turn fans off with the controller, but maybe that is a great thing. You wouldn't want to accidentally turn the wrong 1 off...

It works well and looks excellent in my Coolermaster 830 se. I nonetheless have area for two a lot more fans if necessary. I use it properly to maintain ambient temperature and noise down. I cant shut the fans off. Like the black aluminum face. I wish they had temperature probes also.

Operates fantastic for what it is. Can manage 6 120MM fans with no troubles. Controls actual speed, not just OFF/ON. Has two individual headers for MOBO. LEDs not blindingly bright. Energy wires from molex kinda loose. 1, maybe two, LEDs iffy, functions when it wants to, haven't had the time to diagnose however. Only purpose I docked 1 egg.... Purchased a applied Cooler Master Stacker case and this came with. This Zalman fan controller is controlling 6 of the 9 fans this monstrous case has with ease; 4- 120mm side panel fans, 1- 120mm leading mounted exhaust fan, and 1- 120mm front intake/hard drive fan. Controls up to 6 fans, nice metal finish, red LEDs when fans are at high speeds (blue when at decrease speeds). Dials appear a small flimsy, but not nearly as poor as some related controllers I've used. I had been searching for a fantastic fan controller for months that would match my case and preferably have red LEDs. I had bought a unique (cheaper) model already which burnt up on me as soon as plugged it in, so I bit the bullet and paid the additional cash to get this one. I have not been let down. It looks wonderful in my HAF 932 and the extension cables truly help in such a large case. Even though any fan controller can possibly perform, if you're searching for one particular with RED LEDs, this is great option to go with.

Functions in a lot of (most?) situations. Dear Zalman,If the specs provided don't state that the darn factor is limited to 7w or much less, how is 1 to know? Do you suppose including this tiny tidbit of info may well be of benefit to a prospective purchaser?I appreciate that you apparently pay attention to the product testimonials right here. But I fail to recognize why you still have not addressed the 3-pin to 4-pin conversion challenge.Thank you for your attention. Obtaining currently dealt with a LOGIcal Technique's garbage and that corporation's non-existent customer services, it's good to see a manufacturer pay consideration to product reviews and respond, accordingly. Regrettably, lip service, alone, is not a satisfactory remedy where a simple modification or addition to it's product would fully resolve an problem.

Works as advertised. Has connections to hook up to the CPU fan, but not four pin fans as I had believed. Fits nicely and is flush with the front of my Silverstone SG01 uATX case. The 7w highest is seriously really limiting. My SilenX IXP 80mm fans run at a greater wattage than 7w, so their top rated finish is restricted, but not by a lot. The lights also dim when the fans are turned down. In all honesty, I regret not spending the added ฟ or so and going with the MFC-2 controller. It would have looked substantially far better, and the 7w limit would not have been present. The thing that drew me away was complaints of poor viewing angle, but in retrospect, this is not really essential, only when you are turning energy up or down.

Controls 6 fans, not also flashy or gimmicky searching. Lights quit working after three months of use. Low wattage fans should be turned up to get them spinning ahead of you can turn them down to desired speed. The mounting screws have to be cranked in truly tight to preserve the unit from shifting up and down in your case. I wasn't going to quibble about getting to adjust the fans up to turn them down. Nor would I have mentioned something about possessing to more than-tighten the screw to preserve the unit stable in my case (CM RC-690). But when the lights quit working I had to take into account those points in my overall impression of the excellent of this item. Outside of the 30 swap solution so I can only RMA. I will buy yet another brand fan controller to permanently replace this a single in my method. My set up is this PSU: 700w SilverStone ST70f Mobo: GA-EP45-UD3P CPU: e8400 @ 3.87Ghz RAM: two x 2Mb DDR2 pc8500 GPU: evga GTX260 sc216 HDD: two x internal sata WD Caviar 250Gb, 1 x e-sata Samsung 750Gb ODD: 1x DVD Sound: USB speakers (Z-Cinema, Logitech) Monitor: HP w2207 Printer: Canon MX700 Fans: two x Xigmatek XLF-F1253, two x Xigmatek XSF-F1251, 1 x Coolermaster stock 120mm, 1 x SilverStone 80mm Case: CM RC-690 Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Buyer,We are sorry to hear about the issues you encountered with the MFC1+. The MFC1+ is rated to give 7W of power per channel. Utilizing fans that require a lot more than 7W could potentially harm the unit. All of the knobs appear to work. Cheaply built, two of the six LED indicator lights dont function and the knobs each and every feel unique when you turn them. One particular is loose. I would have returned it but i need to have a fan controller and none of the others appear to be amazingly well built either, so Ill keep this one particular. if you have to have a fan controller, this cheap *censored* will do the job, barely.

- Looks really good.- Fits excellent in HAF932.- Up to 6 fans.- Blue leds = under 30%- Red leds = more than 30% - Only cons is that two of the buttons have fallen off, litterly. Its actually not all that undesirable since I can still adjust the speed of the fans, but it doesnt make it look as great as it used to.- I've heard that it doesnt power up 6 fans at total energy. Can not verify. - I lost one of the buttons, the other one I was able to fasten again with little glue.

Controls all my case fans in my Tempest EVO. Thats two top rated fans, one rear fan, one side fan, and two front fans. The two fans on the CPU cooler (new gigantic Noctua D-14 with each a 140 and 120mm fans) are run off the motherboard. Only issue I wish is that you could turn the fans off entirely but not worth taking off an egg or even placing the mention in right here. No LED failures here, working perfectly

Good brushed finish matches my Silverstone LC20-B case well. Controls up to 6 fans. Relatively simple to install. Effortless to operate. Good item to manage fan noise and/or air flow. Alright, so I read all the other reviews and found most of the cons did not really matter to my specific requirements or installation.I was acquiring fans at the identical time as the controller so the 7W per channel limitation was no biggie. I didn't have any issues finding 90mm and 80mm fans of decent spec that would work. I didn't see this 7W spec listed on newegg, though it is on the Zalman website.Out of the box one particular of the LED's does not work. The controller sits behind a door in my HTPC case so I couldn't care less. The situation sits below my Tv in direct view and I can't/don't want to see them anyway. Hope the other individuals to go out soon so at least they will be uniform. The fan speed adjustment knobs stick out a fair amount so make sure you have adequate space behind your situation door. This is in all probability not an issue for most cases. For me they prevented the drive door on my LC20-B from closing all the way so I had to mount the controller inwards a smidge. Not a great score due to some quirks that might be detrimental to some. Make a decision what you can and can't live with. All in all it does what it is created to do: control fan speed. I have a total of eight fans inside my situation. This unit controls five of them for me quite nicely. My situation temp never rises above 35C and is whisper quiet.I added the controller to:Silverstone LC20-BSilverstone Strider ST70F Modular 700WGigabyte MA790XT-UD4P AMD 790XAMD Phenom II X4 810 6MB 1800MhzZalman CNPS9500AM2HIS Radeon HD 4850 IceQ4 TurboX 512MBOCZ 4096MB PC10600 DDR3Seagate 500GB Serial ATA HDLite On 22X DVDRWWindows Vista Ultimate 64-bit

easy control of a number of fans, looks shapr in my case can't seriously feel of any hooked these up to 4 unique rosewill difficult drive coolers and 1 situation fan. I had to challenging wire the tricky drive coolers to the fan connectors since stock they came with molex connectors. They are only two wire fans so i don't get any feedback for the small lights to work. all round though a excellent remedy to preserve my case as quiet as feasible when not in heavy use.

It controls the speed of the fans from 7-11 volts just like it says. Great brushed black color. Led's let you know at a glance if a fan is on LOW or HIGH speed. Comes with extension cables for far away fans in total tower situations. I would say that going from high to low speed reduces the noise in my situation by about 50%. Channel three didn't function... at all... the LED doesn't operate, and the fan doesn't spin. Tested with a volt meter and sure adequate, no juice. RMA'd and NewEgg is taking care of the challenge, a new 1 is on the way. This is why i purchase from NewEgg, computer stuff is complicated, so just about every when in a although one thing won't perform proper, and NewEgg tends to make dealing with these issues practically pleasant.
