Zalman MFC1 PLUS-B Multi Fan Controller - Black

Mounted straightforward in my CM-690 case. Directions had been clear. Has a excellent quality really feel to it. Looks excellent when installed. LEDs on the front are a bit too vibrant. This was a godsend for me since I could not discover an app that properly controlled all of my case fans... Kind of sad, but this did the trick.

Some of the heat-sinks had been a little crooked and bentAssembly inside case is incredibly tough When I was looking for a fan controller I wanted one with red LED's at max fan speed (fans I use are quite quiet at max), these stated nowhere about becoming red. Properly due to the fact I planned on a Black and red theme for my case (red LED's), I decided to just say heck with it and get it even if it had blue LED's. Low and behold half way mark turns blue LED's to red. Awesome.Also some state this not working with LED fans. I am using all Lian-Li fans with red led's and every perform excellent, if I turn the knobs down the led emittance also goes down, dimming the led. I have nothing but wonderful points to say about this fan controller.

It has 6 channels which need to be sufficient for pretty much any case out there. Comes with three pin cable extenders for fans that don't have a lengthy enough cord to reach it. It makes my Antec Three Hundred case almost silent. none The lights for each and every channel are blue when they are turned all the way down, and switch over to red as soon as it is turned up about 1Ǚ of the way.

Works as advertised. Looks cool, matches my Lian Li case. Knobs feel pretty sturdy. Lights aren't overly bright. Absolutely nothing different to say than other critiques said.Giving three stars and the benefit of the doubt simply because it still does perform even though Didn't know that it cant spin the fans @ 100%, it doesn't say anything about that anyplace. Upon 2nd reboot 1 of the LED's went out (Ť). LED no much more worky but fan nonetheless works. I changed the CPU heatsink out a couple weeks later and now only ş and š LEDs perform. Prior to that #'s 1, 3,four,5 worked but all fans nonetheless spin. Now only 2 LEDs work out of 6. I did absolutely nothing but alter some fans and the CPU heatsink out, from Silverstone to Scythe fans with no power to the system whatsoever, and i'm stuck with phantom LED light issue that can only be related with bad QA.

works, my p.c. no longer sounds like a hairdryer on full blast the wires in the 4 pin connector that goes to the controller had been loose and the yellow wire came out of the connector and like other men and women have stated, it is smaller than the bay it goes into, there is a gap all the way about the face plate. for 37 bucks, not a poor get but you feel the wires would be connected proper and the face plate would be the similar size as a cd drive.

I've got almost everything hooked up to either the PSU directly 鴦mm fans), or the motherboard now, considering that I didn't know my mobo had 2 added chassis fan connectors. Yay for Q-fan!

Functionally, it functions. LED indicator lights went out practically right after instant use, poor QC and unacceptable from a firm like Zalman for situations that have windows, they really should believe of a far better way to deal with cable management. They are two colors (blue & red) w/ no alter in intensityfour - Does not function properly with quick release 5.25" drive bays, it "rolls" up and down. I have to take an egg for the knobs (see cons). I'd take another for the Variable Intensity LED's, but I gotta give it back because I realized I purchased the incorrect size controller for my wants (give an egg because it provides lots of space for expansion), I really required a 4 fan controller. I have to take an egg for it's lack of compatibility with the fairly speedy release towers on the market right now.

Color matches my case. Controls the speed of my fans but had to obtain seperate 3 pin to 4 pin adapters so do your homework. I did not, my fault. It does what its suppose to do but I think Zalman can tweek this a bit and do far better. Learn from the critiques and get quality manage and design team on it right away. 1st 1 the wires came disconnected from the unit with quite little force. None of the lights worked at all. RMAed to a new one, that unit only the forst 3 LEDs worked, the remaining three will not no matter what I do. Now nowadays soon after 6 months of ownership the 2nd LED went out. I'm disappointed because Zalman is recognized for greater top quality items. Will I but Zalman once again, of course...just not a fan controller.I'd try a distinct unit and a unique firm product but reading all the reviews appears theres actually not 1 rock solid fan controller out there without having flaws or poor top quality reliability.

I dont realize some of the negative evaluations, you arent obtaining a government laptop or computer that will cook you breakfast in the morning and shower you at night. this is a fan controller which works nicely. has a really nice high quality finish and the brushed aluminum is high good quality as well. sure some buttons spin a tad bit rapidly and that seems a little inexpensive/flimsy. overall this is a fantastic controller, bright LEDs but i couldnt care about that considering that i have a door on my p180 that closes, so i dont seem them. mainly purchased it to manage my Zalman 9500 and it does the job properly none, despite the fact that wish the buttons made a little better

Sturdy construction; attractive anodized aluminum faceplate; includes 3-pin fan extension cables which makes installation substantially less complicated; fits my P182 case perfectly; 6 controllers which lets me control four case fans plus my CNPS9500 AM2 CPU cooler, and there is still 1 controller to spare. Cost?? I am loving this controller so far. Adore the red LED's. LED's do turn blue if turned down enough, but I by no means go that low. My second Zalman buy so far, and very pleased with both.

The aluminum faceplate has a really good finish and it fits a five.25" bay incredibly nicely, as opposed to what the reviews say about some other controllers. The knobs are just a bit jiggly, but hey, it price ฯ.99. None of the LED's work, but my coolermaster fans never ever reported their speed to the motherboard, so i expected as significantly. I didn't want the LED's to work anyway because I have a green color scheme. Also, it would be good if the fan extension cables were sheathed. five eggs for fit, finish, and functionality.

looks nice, fan controller functions for now but don't trust it will last. 2ǜ LED lights did not work out of box, 1 far more stopped working inside 1 hour of use. As with Several other users the defective LED's really annoy me. It's been some time considering that I have purchased Zalman items and it seems their standards have dropped significantly. With such poor high quality control I will never ever obtain anything produced by Zalman once again. When a junk product makes it past QC and you have a consistent, known, reported concern you recall the junk product and concern a working one.

Six channels, looks fantastic. Works as advertised. The knobs do really feel flimsy and low cost. I don't know why they couldn't make them really feel greater. Max voltage of this controller per channel is 11, which indicates it will never ever run your fans at 100%. If you require to run some of your fans at 100% get a diverse controller or obtain some far more potent fans.

I have owned my controller for over 2 years. It has performed flawless. I control various unique species of Scythe 120mm fans. All of these parts I bought from Newegg, since they are amazing! see other thoughts none I adore this controller, my tower can go from near silent, moving a moderate quantity of air, To a nice internal wind storm! Scythes are a excellent fan to accompany this because of their acoustical values and lifespan. On low setting they are practically silent, but even on high, they aren't annoying. The Scythe Ultra Kaze (there highest RPM, CFM, and loudest) fan can be turned down to where it is barely heard..... sufficient said.

- Conservative CD-Rom slot factor.- Aluminium front I got mine black.- Bright two color LEDs. Blue from low to medium speed and red at more than medium to maximum.- Pots are sensible.- It has 6 controller that is all I need to have.- Two channels have a bypass cable to give the motherboard with RPM readouts, great for CPU and or key case fan for alarm purposes.- Overall it is very good top quality, Cables are long and connectors are to scale. - The pots are expose to crash if you are not careful moving the program, I can't envision a diverse style possibly digital but this is not the case so no genuinely a con but something to maintain an eye on.- this is absolutely nothing especial just a simple yet functional fan controller. I still like the CPU fan to be manage by the motherboard directly, that is one more Chanel to spare and don't have to preserve seeking at temps or constantly adjusting.

good coloring; style; when u use it.. the LED turns into blue when u turn to Min speed. it turns into red when u turn to Max speed. that's cool..matches with the case fan he has. when i open it up... that nods arent tide enough... and when i tried to screw it onto his case... i identified that the right side pannel doesnt have any screw holes..... so i only let it hang right there.. i ordered it for my friend.. he likes it's design.. so he didnt want to return it..

-I really like the style and it works like I expect it - They want to use a greater top quality power adapter. I wrote this assessment to hopefully help out some users that have trouble finding all the LED lights to function. The reason that some or all the lights dont light up is simply because the contacts in the energy adapter are cheap and get loose. I discovered that when I pushed the pins back into the correct position all the lights worked perfectly. I dont know if thats the problem in each case, but just check it out for your self.

6 fans controlled by you, fits my case (Antec Twelve Hundred) extremely nicely. The knobs do really feel flimsy, but you get employed to it. The lights above the knobs turn from blue to red, i dont care, not a pro or con to me. Comes with extension cables but do not use four-pin molex to the 3-pin as you loose a lot of the vairable speeds that the fans can do. But if you have three-pin fans then this is for you

Functions perfectly, came with lots of cables. LED's look cool. I was able to drastically lower the amount of noise my full tower generates. None The mounting hardware it came with didn't really fit in my tower, it wouldn't sit flush with the bay covers and Optical drives. using the mounting hardware that came with my case solved this. Not seriously a con, I believe it had far more to do with my case.

This is the best design for fan controllers. Simple, elegant. No need to have to fiddle about with LCD screens, jog knobs or all the other unnecessarily complicated stuff most fan controllers have. The metal faceplate is properly produced and looks sharp. Low high quality design. The knobs do have a good really feel, just the right quantity of rotation resistance. The dilemma is that the knobs wobble/wiggle. Also, the complete unit doesn't actually fit properly in the case, and the whole factor can wiggle. One of the LCD lights has gone out.I would be extremely helpful if they added some cable management, like some hooks to wrap cables around or some thing. As it is, I tape everything up, which slowly falls apart. It would also be good if the directional indicators on the knobs were less difficult to see, and you could really feel them. Its uncomplicated to see the small notches on the knobs straight-on, but most of the time I'm searching at them from a high angle. Also, the LCD lights are recessed into the metal faceplate, creating those too a little hard to see from a high angle. Would be nice if those were bulbs that protruded a small. This factor isn't best, the issues are all minor ones, but they do add up. Overall, this is far greater than the fan controller I had just before that was priced the similar, but utilised an LCD screen with jogging buttons. I will definitely maintain this, unless Zalman or a person else takes the *same style* and improves on it.

It is black, matches my case...Does what it requirements to do...it's purty...Has 4 extension cables...lowered case temps from average of 45 to about 37...not incredible...but it worksmakes case nearly silent...nearly 40 dB to about 20 dB...i can finally sleep with my laptop or computer on... massive space between best of controller and dvd drive above it...only four extension cables...didn't come with cookies? Overall good product...Don't put a huge amount of fans on it...just use the six if you have to...i have 4 on mine...possibly add an digital RPM display over every channel?Had a tough time getting it to fit in my case, but it isn't the controllers fault...my case is rly small...Just took off the 1 egg for those smaller cons...Add send with cookies!!! lol jk...
