Do these points seriously count for something considering that i found this unit to be absolutely unusable ? The noise ! Its certainly horrific ! I read the other critiques before attempting this PSU. I believed " The noise cant be THAT bad . . . " Even even though i was expecting some unusual noise from the unit prior to testing it, i was nonetheless stunned by it. We arent talking about some excessive buzzing or humming right here. When you put it beneath a load the clacking increases in volume two-fold. My cat hid beneath the couch when i powered it on =( I turned the unit more than in my hands although it was operating and noticed you can make the clacking sound stop if you hold it just right. Seems like the fan ( which is quite wobbly ) is striking the other parts as it spins.I left it operating and walked outdoors shutting the door behind me. Doesnt fit in a LIAN LI Pc-X500. slips in fine but it is just too lengthy, more of a con to LIAN LI anyways. still gets 5 eggs from me.

I don't understand why people complain about the four built-in cables, given that any medium level program will call for them. I'm fussy, so I don't like the built in 6ư pin PCI-express cables. Its definitely cleaner to have a modular 6 pin PCI express cable and a modular 8 pin cable, but the added cost probably wouldn't justify it. Even at 跂 this is a comparative bargain in the 1000 watt PSU sector, especially given that I got mine on sale.

Sufficient wattage and 12V rail amps to power just about something you throw in your Pc. Plenty of PCI-E connectors. Modular. The 8-pin CPU connector cable isn't extended adequate for situations that mount the PSU in the bottom. I had to get an extension cable to hold from having to stretch it so a lot. Also, I'm not certain if they make power supplies like this, but I would favor a fully modular power provide so you could plug in only the cables you needed.
