Cons: 39Mbs to my Galaxy S, 72Mbs to my laptop, not anywhere near the advertised speeds.

Pros: super fast gigabit port speeds, decent signal and wifi speeds, NetGear Genie and looks nice.
Comment:
I love it! nowhere nears its advertised speeds.. I dont't even have any devices that have 5ghz, so not really a big deal, nor 802.11ac... I really bought this because it supports UnPn for NAS, got a READYNAS Duo v2, amazing stuff! Super easy setup with NETGEAR Genie, I love it! Get 100MBs+ speeds over the gigabit ports. I just let it manage itself and seems to do a pretty good job. WIFI to my laptops and netbook are about 7MBs read, 4MBs write, not great, but not too bad either, I can live with it.. I found I needed to change the WIFI channel to get the best reception, a few bands are used up in the neighborhood, after changing to channel 10, everything got so much faster.

Cons: fairly big router but it's looks fancy so...

Pros: Great Wifi range, very easy to setup, looks very elegant, great features
Comment:
Very good router, purchased to replace a DIR-615 and WOW amazing difference. My router is located in the basement on the far right and i have a 3000sq/ft house incl garages. I still get 3 full bars at the complete end of the 3rd garage (far left of the house) I couldn't even get good signals in the kitchen with the DIR615!!!! and the DIR-615 used to drop  my connection non stop (wifi). Anyways great purchase and would recommand to anyone!!! Even thos it's a bit pricy at 199$ i got it on a price match at 159$...

Pros: Solid signal on all my wireless devices, Ipad, laptop, Ioplay, PC

Got this to replace my 4500 Extreme that keep needing to be restarted due to no signal at all. Since I installed the Netgear WNDR4500 N900 I have rock solid wifi. Dual band works great. I can use my ipad and laptop 45 from the house in the backyard

Cons: Not the easiest interface to use

Pros: Ability to turn off Wifi and stay connected thru ethernet
Comment:
Hands down stomps my old DLink 655 in the grd for maintaining a steady link with my wired and wireless computers in the house. The network software is a little less intuitive than the DLink router (191.168.0.1) but does offer much more advanced options.

Cons: factory firmware update  is too slow

Pros: stable wifi signal in both 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz
Comment:
It has strong signal in both band and the most important thing is stable. It's very easy setup with app Netgear offers. It's hard to decide Asus n66u or this one....but I found a good deal with price match with ME for $143....so I choose netgear over ASUS.

Cons: (1) It took about 30-60 minutes for the wireless signals to become stable. I thought I had a defective unit. (2) My Linksys VOIP ATA adapter was fried after plugging it in this router...but it may not be Netgear's fault. (3) Contrary to other reports, this router supports only one Dynamic DNS service provider. My cheap Rosewill router supports several and it's firmware provides more flexible options.

Pros: It allows me to wirelessly stream NBA Broadband TV anywhere in the house with no lag, smooth as silk. Router is in the basement, gives me strong 4-bar signal on the second floor, opposite side of the house. Wired connections give full speed.
Comment:
This Netgear may be an over-kill with its so-called 450M Wifi, although it should make the family perfectly happy with its supreme ability to stream videos. Your neighbors will wonder why next door's signals are stronger than theirs. Note that ASUS RT-N56U Black Diamond router is more affordable and get better reviews from more-experienced users. But, some said they had compatibility issues with Shaw's SMC modem. (Too bad that's the modem I had.)

Cons: Wan connections dropsWireless speed very slow (16Mb/s)

Pros: Easy to setup
Comment:
I'm very desappointed with this router. I had a WNDR3700 which was working fine but it stopped working so I replaced with a WNDR4500. Since I only have problems like internet drops and the wireless speed is very slow. I use a laptop with a wireless card Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 and the best speed is 16 mb / s to 4 meters from the router. I tried several configurations but neither works well. Cons: Price

Pros: Very FastEasy setup
Comment:
I replaced my flaky Linksys gigabit router with the Netgear N900. I am very impressed so far. My average internet download speeds have tripled and file transfer speeds between wireless clients on my network have doubled. The N900 by itself has more range than the two routers I had bridged to cover my house and yard. The setup is very easy and the unit itself is nice to look at. This is a serious piece of equipment and worth the extra cost to me. From now on I will look to Netgear products first.

I have replaced my old DLINK DIR-655 by this one. Performance is impressive, but I prefered the DLINK admin UI. A very good buy.

Cons: None that I can see

Pros: Worked right out of the box. Even after this short period of time i can tell this router was worth every penny I paid for it. Speeds on all components connected are faster and smoother
Comment:
Got this router on sale for $149.00 but would have paid full price for the better performance I see with it.

Cons: I've had to reboot the router 3 times since I've installed it, but it's running stable now with latest firmware.

Pros: Can set up 4 wireless networks (2.4 ghz home and guest, 5 ghz home and guest)I have a USB laser printer, and USB inkjet printer plugged in and working great.Setup was very easy. There is a basic interface for newbies and advanced interface for experts.Support responded quickly to bugs I reported in router and shipped updated firmware addressing the bugs.Strong wireless signal.
Comment:
I did a lot of research before replacing my old Linksys WRT54G router with this new router. Overall I'm very happy with it.There were a few teething problems with the firmware when I first got it, but I contacted support and they actually confirmed the bugs I found and pushed out a new firmware to address the bugs in a relatively short period of time.It was nice to have a support person actually engage with me in a series of emails and get a resolution to the problem I was having.I would recommend this router beginners and experts alike.

Cons: Large size, wall mount option would be nice. (The included vertical stand compensates for the large size.)

Pros: Easy set-up, simple straight forward interface. Works great. Options for 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz are great.

Best router I've ever used, period. This thing works! Don't hesitate if you are thinking of buying this one.

Cons: Price, physical design

Pros: Great UI, easy setup, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz), impressive range
Comment:
I had been running a D-Link DIR-655 for a couple of years with generally acceptable performance. Wireless range was barely acceptable in our house with the additional external antennas on the DIR-655 - I ended up adding a repeater to get improved range. We also had some troubles with drop ped and failed connections. After reading a few reviews, decided to give the WNDR4500 a try. All I can say is 'WOW'!!!Setup was an abosolute breeze, and in comparison to the Netgear UI, the DIR-655 was downright clunky. But best of all, I have better wireless range and performance throughout our house with this router alone than we did with the DIR-655, external antennas, and the repeater! The router is designed to stand vertically - period. It's a pretty 'modern' design, and some may not like it - I personally like it (at least for now)...Wasn't sure if I really wanted to drop  almost $200 on a new router, but in hindsight I'm glad I did.
