quick dual core not as rapid as I would of liked but it's not going to shed an egg for that. I upgraded from a athlon 64 x2 2ghz. it's a noticeable distinction certain, just not has rapid as I was hoping for, but for the dollars it's worth it

- Low temperatures leave a lot of area for OC. (I've got it up to 3.5ghz @ 32C idle኉C full capacity and I did not even apply thermal paste, which isn't encouraged, I know... although the reality that it is at all feasible with only the TP on the fan proficiently demonstrates the remarkable potential this tiny chip has if you're into testing the limits of your components... lets just say it will far more than meet you halfway on such a mission)- 3ghz correct out of the box for a 60$ dual-core (this reality alone sells it for me!)- Much more power/reliability than something the competition has for twice what this CPU charges.- Can really hold it's own as a spending budget gaming/graphics CPU (you can drop this in a less expensive build and then upgrade basically almost everything else about it before this chip begins to hold you back noticeably) I'm racking my brain for a con but each time I think of one thing that could be construed as a con, I don\'t forget the ์ value tag and all is forgiven. For the value, these Regors are actually the perfect CPUs. There are really handful of conditions in which I would advise against employing them. This is a strong piece of equipment and the price is simply spectacular. I do think I have just located my mainstay CPU for spending budget builds. The particular person who's personal computer I built around this chip could not be happier with the value-to-performance ratio.

I was rather surprised at how quick it was for a dual core and it came with it's own CPU cooler...saved me บ right there. It's not more affordable If your making a bare laptop or computer that you're not doing any kind of significant gaming, I say go for it.

GOT ATHLON 64 BACK During ITS First. IT WAS ANCIENT AND I WAS DUE FOR UPGRADE, EVEN THOU I Never ever HAD Trouble AND MY System WAS Still BLAZIN. AMAZED AT NOTICEABLE SPEED Enhance. THAT I DIDNT UPGRADE SOONER! APPLES TO APPLES SPEED COMPARISON IN THIS Value RANGE...ITS Significant Competition IS NOT EVEN ON CHART. THERES NO SUCH Factor AS AN Under 60 BUCK, More than 3 GIG CPU IN A COMPETITORS ARSENAL. IN MOST Circumstances YOU GET WHAT YOU Spend FOR. WITH AMD, YOU GET THAT AND THEN SOME!

I'm coming off of years of Notebook computing, and they're usually slow. So I evaluate this to a Turion 64 x2 at 2GHz...in a notebook. By these low standards I'm used to, this thing is a powerhouse IN THE Price tag RANGE.I was about to throw down for a Sempron two.8Ghz, but when I added up how a lot every thing expense total, the 20 bones extra I had to throw for this was a bargain. I'm not positive if the extra core will aid in XP, but the increased L2 cache undoubtedly might support.I actually like AMD for assisting to preserve rates down on anything, even Intel chips - mainly because of the competition. As I hadn't constructed due to the fact Socket 939 (??), the "new" (to me) lever to fasten down the heatsink was a lovely discovery more than the days of grunting and nearly punching a screwdriver through the motherboard to get the heatsink secured. Can't say I've observed any cons however, since I didn't expect this to be a Phenom or i7 at this price tag. It's been operating a lot, lately. Despite the fact that I don't game, I recode MPEG video (etc) and I'm happy with this. Effortlessly packing sufficient horsepower to emulate all the old systems.

So i went down componet by componet checkng every a single to see if the compuer wold even post. I did that for a hour or so untill it cme down to its eithera negative motherboard or a problem with the cpu. so I took off the heat sink and reset the cpu. andthe personal computer posted. lesson learned make sur the cpu is sitted ideal.

Wonderful speed low expense. Worked excellent right out of the box no difficulties. I adore AMD its all I run anymore, the expense vs efficiency of AMD is fantastic. I bought this along with a gigabyte AM3 socket board for an upgrade for a freind and it blew him away due to the fact he was running an old AM1 two.three athlon single core in his old msi board. none what so ever. I would recomend this cpu to any person going for a low to moderatley priced upgrade. I feel it was only 2 bucks additional for this cpu compared to the 2.8 AMD dual core.

Low cost quickly small dual core you can tell it want to do more and go more if it had watts or far more cache or a lot more speed like 500mhz or much more on windows 7 with a SATA 300GB hd. it great and cool much less power. it operating on at 1.376v stock speed 3.0GHZ AMD Foxconn Destroyer 780A with 3GB of memory of ampX ƒx512mb)&ƒx1gB) it built for a sister of mine and thanks newegg this is what she will need for a laptop or computer. five eggy!!! the HSF is tiny and low cost would keep cooler if a old AMD HSF heatpipe 4ǘ-way with alum. for the money AMD sould just make one very good rapidly 1 for 60$ like 3.5GHZ for dual core last of the dual core. move on to 4- to 8 cores Phenoms. if I were you go for something small faster for the dollars. if you can afford it.
