Nice entry level CPU. Runs awesome. Don't use a lot of power. Low-cost. Feels slower than a PhenomII X2 and definitely slower than a PhenomII X4. Great CPU all round.

I generally go with Intel, but when someone contacted me for a more affordable technique, I went AMD. I was quite shocked at how properly the program tests I ran compared with larger price Intel items. Ran 7% quicker than my laptops Pentium T4500 two.3GHz 1MB L2 DC. I don't have any desktop Intel CPUs to evaluate it to proper now even though. I absolutely like that AMD makes use of the identical strap-like style heatsink that intel Employed to use. Considerably simpler for installation. Heatsink does appear a tiny small. But I'm confident AMD tested it adequate to uncover that it keeps it cool enough for the typical person. This CPU truly produced me take into account much more AMD CPUs in the future.

Enjoy it, runs quickly and and cool. It is a good price tag. AMD is the ideal value and even more than clocked on stock cooling I am keeping very good temps. A substantially superior deal then Intel. Nothing at all

CPU temps right after installation with stock heatsink/fan were 28degC. I count on that to go down following a even though even though, due to the fact of the immediately after market place thermal paste I applied. This was purchased for my wife's Computer and it functions perfectly for her. She is not a gamer, so this wont be tested in that regard. Newegg's shipping was fast, and this was packaged acceptably. This is a great cpu for a 1st construct. I have it operating at 3.3ghz, seems to be the ideal speed for this cpu. It stays about 26-28 degrees Cel. beneath regular use with the stock fan. Had it operating at 3.9 for a few days but I figured I'd back it down, considering that I'm new at this(oc). Nevertheless it was low temp. fluctuating in between 29-32 degrees. Had it up to 4.05, but os was unstable immediately after opening up a number of windows. None. BIOSTAR A780L3LAthlon II X2 Regor 250 3. Inexpensive. Rapidly for it's price tag point.I utilized it in a budget gaming build. It handles WoW fantastic.Handles media encoding well.Fan and cooler function effectively, keeping temps among 35C - 50C None Can't be beat for a workhorse dual-core processor.

Excellent bang for the buck right here, no matter if or not you overclock. If you are a general use sort person, there is no purpose why this wouldn't operate for you. no complications I have mine clocked to 3.four with stock cooling and I have but to have any ill-advised temperatures.

I'm really happy with this CPU. It's two 3 Ghz CPUs in one for ๋.99. Don't bother obtaining the two.6 Ghz OEM. By the time you get an aftermarket heatsink and thermal grease, it'll price as much or a lot more than this. The heatsink that comes with this has a layer of grease applied already and does far better than I would have expected. I don't get the complaints about the heatsink. Yes, it is modest but I ran prime95 for 30 mins and checked the temp to find it only running at 36C with the heatsink only warm to the touch! I don't OC but with a huge aftermarket heatsink, I'd envision you can go far with it. Efficiency is excellent but then once again I came from a 1.8 ghz single-core desktop I built 6 years ago so of course it's like night and day. none. For a fundamental Computer, this will be about as excellent as it gets. For gaming, it doesn't do that bad at that either. It would do wonderful for a price range gaming Computer like mine.

Low cost, low energy consumption @ 65w, 6.five score in Windows 7. Over clocks to three.469GHz no dilemma, might go a couple of points higher with out growing core voltage. None, when you're constructing a process and you know what your goal is you can't go incorrect with this processor as of January, 2011. Most games don't use far more than 2 cores. If you're creating a gamer maintain up with how many cores they are utilizing.

It Works Waste of time and funds. I wasted my dollars going from socket 939 to AM3. No difference in efficiency for just about every-day tasks. Possibly a challenging-core gamer would notice the distinction but I doubt it.

Worked flawlessly. I like AMD simply because I can get quality chips as a fraction of the price of Intel chips. A comparable Intel technique would cost at leask ์ more and the speed distinction is negligible. It will actually surpass a comparable Intel program if that technique is employing Intel graphics. The "harmony" at which the AMD procs match with the AMD chipsets with the integrated video create a better platform. Not that Intel processors are not greater than the AMD, but the Intel video chipsets are terrible. The included HSF could be a little a lot more "aggressive". I usually don't use the included HSF's in the retail boxes, I just buy retail processors for the longer warranty and better return circumstances. On the other hand, cost was a important driving element. I am giving this system to a client for free as a value added since I needed to convince him to do a important network overhaul that was desperately needed. I am an avid AMD fan and prefer AMD to Intel. The price tag/performance ratio is Significantly far better on AMD than Intel.

I purchased the 260 u x2 3.2Ghz, basically the same CPU. Awesome price at $65 and is turbo for a budget build. Runs idle at around 35 degrees celsius and about 45-48 degrees under full-load in a Coolermaster mid-tower case. Used for basic browsing and youtubing and as a media hub for phones/ MP3 players and still runs snappy. Not too sure on the current price of the 250 u $74 but overall a nice little chip for basic computing. I run most newer games on my AM2+ 7850 x2 2.8Ghz but lately it's not pulling it's weight sooo.. probably not a good CPU for any recent, powerhouse games although I would recommend this for any AMD budget system!I purchased the 260 u x2 3.2Ghz, basically the same CPU. Price tag is proper for these small bad boys. Run Win7 really well. Had a bent pin but I didn't have time to speak to newegg and go although RMA so I took a opportunity and bent it back (it was only slightly bent). So far so great! I have a different 1 of these as a Ubuntu server and it has far more than adequate energy.

Upgrading a desktop to the dual core era with new cpu, motherboard and DDR3 ram. What a difference it makes more than an ancient very first generation P4. AMD supplies a very good value for the income. Yes, you can spend to have the big "I" name sticker or acquire AMD plus RAM sticks of your choice for the identical cost as that blue labeled CPU. Subtract a single egg of rating due to the undersized stock heat sink. Barely adequate for desktops in air conditioned offices. Underated heatsinks are supplied in most retail box CPU's from both AMD and Intel. Advocate a third party heat sink for rooms with wider temperature swings. Overclocking? By no means heard of it or even desire it.
