Utilized this CPU in a spending budget gaming create and it is basically outstanding! Installed effortlessly and stock cooler is quiet and efficient. The low power usage is a great plus also. I am amazed at how great the low power 45nm processors and video cards execute. None If you are doing a budget gaming construct, look no additional than this processor. The very best value on the marketplace, and it not only saves you on up front expenses, it can save you some $$$ on power usage over the life of your Computer.

I just lately put together my initial spending budget build. I'm amazed with even the less expensive hardware such as this perform so well. Got a six.three on the Windows Index Scale. The heat sink is nice as well. Also didn't anticipate that from a low cost processor. None

Great little dual-core processor for the money. From the benchmarks, this seems to easily beat the Celerons and Semprons out there without costing a great deal more.

*Cheap*Decent stock clock @ 3GHzƦMB L2 cache*Works extremely well for everyday tasks and applications*Works nicely for light to moderate gaming (even some serious gaming, but I would advocate finding a phenom ii x4 if that is your objective) None so long as you know what you require and you recognize the capabilities of this cpu. I purchased this a lot more than a year ago with a new motherboard on a shoestring budget after a PSU failure expense me my old 5600+ and mobo and has served me incredibly properly ever since.

The speed is what I was searching for, could not ask for something superior. Being able to unlock the other to core was just a lucky obtain and, you must see the speed now. What would you say if you could buy a dual-core and, turn it into a quad? It's Great I looked for a con to give but, it come from newegg.com and they have always stood behind their merchandise. If I had the income correct now, I would finish up buying yet another four of these to have each one of my pc's operating with a quad in it. Thats about all I can say.Of course, it come from newegg.com and, I have never ever had problems that could not be fixed when I buy one thing or order if your it from newegg.com. I say utilizes the merchandise from Newegg.com initially, if you can't discover it there then, appear for it locally but I've not seriously had one problem that has not been settled because newegg.com has fixed it for me.. I would go back again and again.

Cons:The heatsink isn't very good.

Pros:Great price.
Comment:
For the cost I am very happy with this cpu.It handles high definition video with ease.Good choice for a basic computer or home theater pc.I didn't use it in a gaming pc so I can't find a flaw in the performance in any way.The heatsink is loud and doesn't cool very well. Consider the cost of a replacement cpu cooler when deciding to buy this. However I never use the stock AMD cpu coolers. This review was modfied by poster @ 12-15-11 06:12 AM

Exceptional, low cost processor for an HTPC construct. Low power also means that the HTPC is quieter with no needing to go to extremes such as an after-marketplace passive heatsink. No 3rd and 4th cores to unlock, but no major deal.

Exceptional value/performance ratio. Can quickly be overclocked.Low energy usage. None truly. There are quicker chips out there. They expense much more. I have a extremely quickly i7EE method, and necessary a secondary rig for testing purposes. I had case, PS, RAM, and so on, just needed a MB and CPU. Picked up this CPU along with a motherboard for under 贄. I did not expect considerably from the system, but I was in fact shocked at how quick it is. Easily compares to a similarly clocked Core2Duo, and feels quicker than one. May well be the DDR3 RAM?Bottom line- if you are reading this then you are in the market for a processor in this range. Acquire an Athlon II- you will not be disappointed.

1) 3. GHz stock successful clock2) Low temps: 20 C idle, 28 C load3) Quiet and efficient stock HSFfour) Quite simple to install level-bracket mounting method5) Low price and inexpensive None that I can uncover. I bought and used this in my mother's desktop and with stock settings and the stock HSF, this thing is both quiet and cool. Compared to my own prior E8400, this thing is less costly by 贄+ and runs at roughly half the temperature at idle and 1-third the temperature at load. Given that it is roughly 90% efficiency of my old E8400 and the above variables, this chip beats any Intel's comparatives easily.

Bought this for a small file/print server build. Does the job great. I would strongly recommend a different heat sink. The one included with the processor is only about an inch tall and all aluminum. Pretty disappointing. Lucky I had a left over from a phenom x4 processor which keeps the temps just above 40 even at heavy loads.

Bought in combo with boistar board for a wonderful price. Installed effortlessly with Windows 7. I am able to run games like Star Wars the Force Unleashed II at maximum settings on a Boistar A770E3 board with four gigs Kingston Hyper X Blu RAM and a BFG GTS 250 video card. Nothing to complain about.

Superior rapid little duel core. Gotta love Amd they always put out excellent low cost processors. The reasoning for only 2 eggs isn't simply because of the item itself but mainly because of newegg. Ordered this little guy along with 2 other items. One of my items got to me inside the 3 day shipping although the others, which includes this, took 8 days. Ordered on a monday and didn't get till the next tuesday...Whats up with that?

I wanted a processor so I could play games with my brothers. This processor runs CIV V and Starcraft two with no challenge. It was an upgrade from a AMD FX-55 and there is a large difference! I was disappointed that no extra cores could be unlocked with my core unlocking motherboard. Next time I should do my research beforehand. This is an average processor for 2010 so if you want to do average factors with you laptop or computer, like, basic gaming and internet surfing, get this CPU.

I got this for a low power file server. Worked perfect. I used the stock heatsink from a higher end AMD processor because the included one with this is about an inch high with fan, and might have been noisy.

Price. Nice pep for a dual core.AMD has constantly created fairly durable cpu's (if you didn't crack the die on the XP Athlon series mounting the heatsink!). It's not an Intel. AMD is a solid cpu for folks on a budget. No, they hhaven't been as quickly as Intel considering that the single core days...but the price plays big here...Occasionally it's not worth the extra $$ for a bit of a bump in speed. Most of my consumer builds are AMD simply because of the price factor, and I've had no complaints. SOMEBODY has to be Š, and AMD does it quite effectively. I'm rooting for their next gen to pass up Intel, like they did in the single core days.

This is my present CPU of option when creating spending budget dual core computers. It is only ์ for a 3Ghz dual core in a box with a cooler. It is only ฤ additional than the AMD 145 single core.It overclocks to three.3Ghz on stock voltage and cooler. With a ฮ aftermarket cooler I had this chip stable at 3.6Ghz at 1.45 volts.AMD=Value.์ for this CPU + ์ for an AM3 880G motherboard + โ for 4GB DDR3 1600 ram = 赊 to upgrade an outdated shop bought computer system to a fast and present technique. THERE ARE NO CONS TO Acquiring THIS CPU.I guess you could go spending budget intel?Intel 3Ghz dual cores price ๠ minimum..You would still be on a LGA 775 board...May well as nicely just get DDR2 then...I guess you could go core-i something, but then your in for hundred+ for a CPU alone... This is a superior CPU to use for desktops which major functions are to check e-mail, run MS office, play some browser based games, listen to music, and watch video. Basic mainstream computing. I have a Phenom II X2 555BE in 1 of my other computers to compare this with. The x2 250 overclocked to three.3Ghz performs just as effectively as my 555 on stock speed for ฮ much less.Final thoughts are:If you want a dual core, obtain this 1.If you want a 555 or a 565, just purchase an X4 640.
