Comment:
Unlocked 4th core completely stable. Runs super cool even unlocked with stock heatsink. Quick sufficient even if you can't unlock it. Most of all, the price. none right here. Unlocked and overclocked to three.5ghz with 1.375v. With an Arctic Cooler Freezer 64 it tops out in the low 50's below load. Aboslutely remarkable overall performance for an 80 dollar processor. I have a core i7 950 and this isn't as rapid...but-I refuse to get intel again as extended as AMD keeps pumping out cpu's like this at such a steal of a price tag.

Expense vs performance is wonderful. I combined it with a motherboard that unlocks the hidden core. Now I have a Phenon x4. After unlocking the forth core expense vs functionality is just also fantastic to pass up. none I've read that not everyone has been able to unlock the forth core stable and challenge free of charge but it worked for me and I adore this thing. Saved me spending ์ on the Phenonx4 three.2GHz I almost bought.

Purchased this as an upgrade for a single of my older generation customers. Straightforward peasy setup and develop. Rapid. See other thoughts for far more information.Working with it as a 3 core with standard settings, no overclock. No need for it, it blisters with XP as it is, and for what its being used for, there is no will need for tweaking it anyway. CPU fan is... Lame looking. Not a thermaltake or even labeled AMD like I'm applied to, but not substantially of a con. Appears to maintain it cool, so no marks off for looks. Bundled with an Gigabyte GA-M68MT-D3 AM3 board, GSkill worth series 4GB DDR3 1333 module, and a 320 GB WD Blue drive. Gigabyte board gave me the solution to tweak the number of cores in the BIOS but I didn't bother. Just was nice to see the choices. Booted up, setup XP, drivers, and it runs like a (insert word right here) ape.

The Rana CPU runs fine. What was the original goal? Motherboard BIOS firmware right here makes a massive distinction right here as properly, as is evidenced by the Newegger's listings of successful ACC CPU unlockinga. Final private observation on ACC. If these CPUs are the finish outcome of a defective production run (the quad configuration becoming the original production run objective), are you not essentially getting what quite a few folks would contact factory seconds and/or blemished goods? These are commonly sold at a reduced price tag and are noted as such, e.g., B stock. As generally, use what you can and ignore the rest. Caveat Emptor!

NewEgg and AMD in this situation.Unfourtnately I had a entire mess of troubles with my new build, new Mobo had troubles, new CPU had troubles, and my new Gigabyte 6850 was discontinued becaused of troubles shortly right after I got it. (now there is a Super Durable edition out). Anyway I blamed the mobo at 1st and more when there tech support never responded to request for assistance. But AMD did respond and said I should send it back to the retailer or send it to them, NewEgg mentioned they'd replace it, mentioned it takes three-5 days soon after recieving the defective item to concern a return, except in my case it was shipped out the next day right after they recieved it and ought to arrive tomorrow according to UPS. No RMA or Restocking costs had been charged to me and if I could have had taken it to a UPS retailer I could have shipped it back for absolutely free. So this post is far more about NewEgg taking care of there consumers and AMD not treating me like an idiot. Amd tech said it sounded like a faulty memory controller in the chip (continued) - (cont. from above) rather of giving me the runaround or getting me jump via a bunch of silly hoops; I appreciate that. I've been a extended time and I like to consider loyal buyer to the Egg even when others have things less expensive I get here because of consumer service and I have a better respect for AMD now as nicely. I will come back in a month or two after burn in, pressure testing and finding to know the CPU and write an additional assessment, I just even though I'd let you know my practical experience with these corporations regarding this CPU so far. They'll continue to recieve my company in the future!

Fantastic chip, at ๟ its worth acquiring over the ์ X2 and considerably less costly than the subsequent logical step up (i3-2100 or Phenom X4). I was in a position to get X4 practically guaranteed, and the chip runs extremely cool. I only got 3.4ghz with 2.5ghzNB on it, not mainly because of temps but basically stability (no matter the voltage). Other individuals commonly say the very same, though have heard of 4ghz (but they stated they couldnt unlock). None. Bottlenecks the GTX 460 a bit, but that's to be expected with such a higher end GPU. It's not so considerably how good the CPU is, but how wonderful the price tag is. Quite dependable although, wonderful entry spending budget chip. This chip should be very good for playing max settings on almost all games nowadays anyways, greatest practical chip to get imo.

Absolutely need to be viewed as for any price range create. Plenty of compute energy, even if you're creating a gaming rig. For not too considerably a lot more money you can get a quad core. Stock cooler is loud-as most AMD stock coolers are. If funds is an problem then do the intelligent thing for your gaming rig and get the vastly less expensive AMD CPU and AMD motherboard rather of Intel. Commit that liberated money on a excellent energy provide and the most expensive graphics card you can afford!

Good processor Perfect for gameing. I was in a position to unlock the 4th core so now mine is an x4 three.two ghz Amazing! I broke one of the pins, but it nonetheless functions its just fragile manage with extreme care. The thermal compound that came on the heat sink was bad I advise placing your personal heat sink on with a unique kind if compound. Also just so each a single knows any kind of modifications performed to the processor voids the warrenty. Like overclocking and unlocking cores so if u want 4 cores and a warrenty get the x4

1. Really COOL! Idles at 30C-35C (Running Negative Business 2 on 3 cores at 45-50CƜ. Incredibly quick for the buck. I have not tried unlocking 4th core however but I don't see a need for it as it handles something I throw at it. Running Battlefield Bad Organization 2 on every little thing total without having a hiccup. The fan looks a bit more affordable but it runs fantastic and keeps it extremely cool. You can hear the fan operating and some individuals complain but actually for that value and that a lot power... its hardly noticable Buy this item!!! Excellent outstanding purchase!

quite stable cpu, can run some games at ultra high settings, really quiet piece of machinery. Less costly than a quad core and runs the exact same based on what you do. Excellent starting spending budget cpu and have had no complications with is so far. Doesn't appear to have an overclock and the fan to the cpu is pretty smaller. 50 bucks less costly than the cheapest quad core. Can run all sorts of games if you're into gaming.

There is none! I by no means had the likelihood to own it! Received a e-mail type Newegg titled "Early Spring Savings". This processor was advertised in that e-mail for ๚.99 if you added the code "EMCKGKJ85" at examine out. Now mind you....the codes don't expire until 03ባ񳏋. I added it to my basket...and when I went to order it the next morning....Newegg had removed it! Something about low stock. Truth is....they added it to a combo deal! What a joke! I've spent a lot of money with these individuals....but I believe that's about to change. This is about the 3rd or 4th time they have carried out this to me...wonder how several others this has occurred to? I just got tired of it....so I just thought I'd vent.

Buy three of these for client machines. Strikingly quick in every thing, with that third core always there for that occasional video project or high-end game that requires that tiny extra enhance. None. Even the integrated HSF does the job quietly and effectively. I don't OC. Overall, the greatest price tag/performance chip out there.Till this year, and for the initial time in fifteen years, I'm using AMD for clientele once again. This is a solid selection.

The idle temps are around 28ºC....couldn't ask for additional! Didn't get the L3 cache....but oh well Good for spending budget builds, also, applied the ASUS M4A88T-M LE motherboard and it was as straightforward as pressing a crucial to unlock the 4th core

Fast, awesome, and stable. What additional could you want? I was unable to unlock the 4th core. It did it successfully but then I noticed the temp was operating 20 degrees warmer and bumping against the 67 degree threshold and then the processor was slowing down to 800mhz. At initial I thought it was the heat sink given that I didn't benchmark it at 3 cores. I played with the heat sink for an hour and it was nonetheless operating hot. Place it back to three cores and it was running about 47 below full load and about 25 with no load. There was yet another reviewer that had a related knowledge so I guess the 4th core is defective. Oh nicely. I am not going to overclock at all as it is rapid sufficient for me at the stock speeds. Perhaps I am skewed because I was coming from a Celeron two.4 single core but this processor is remarkable! I went from taking several hours to encode a movie to under 20 min. No matter what I was doing, I was never waiting for the CPU, only the HD at instances. The Celeron would hover at 30- 50% just on the background programs I was operating.

Runs Awesome, as stated in title ྵ°c at idle with 1 case fan)Worked out of the box, no fiddling necessary4th core is unlockable 4th core runs hot, bumps temp into 40°c range for idle..63° max temp beneath complete load according to AMD:OverDrive. Usable, but almost certainly want to make confident your case has great flow. Not sold as a quad core so not worth docking an egg. I'm just satisfied it's unlockable, period. If you do unlock, it reads as a Phenom II x4 B50 (Propus)No unlockable L3 cache, these chips are pretty substantially gone by now so if you want L3 cache for gaming, get a diff. chip Has ran just about every game I've thrown at it, such as Metro 2033, WoW, Rift, Crysis 2 (demo), Dragon Age II, Starcraft II, Fallout three and New Vegas; list goes on and on and on..it's paired with a Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon 5770 and 4g of Essential Ballistix RAM on an Asus Mobo. Have ran each XP and win7.
