This processor is awsome. Paired it with the Asrock 880G mobo with Core Unlocking Technology...hit 1 important booting to Bios and my system reads the processor as a Phenom ii x4 quad. Even if you dont get one that unlocks to a quad...3.two Ghz triple core for 80 bucks... I will suggest this processor to any client or friend searching to build a gaming program! Doesnt fold my laundry My friend has the Phenom iix3 two.8Ghz Black Edition in his method...he wishes he bought this one now. |

It works. None According to the ASRock Intelligent Power Saver program, I'm receiving *slightly over* three.2 GHz readings at peak. It draws ӱ.four watts on idle, at about 800 MHz. It draws ㅆ.four watts at 3200 MHz. |

Cheap. Works. Quickly. Stock HSF can be noisy even under 25% load. A lot of air flow in my case ƕ case fans all sucking air out)Did unlock to a Phenom II x4 B50 but core three wasn't stable for me. Will mess with voltage when I get a much better HSF. Upgraded from a Athlon BE-2350 , great option!Slapped in an ASUS m4a785-m mobo (also purchased from hereƞGB G.Skill DDR2 800 mem (from newegg ofc)HIS RADEON HD 4670 1GB graphics card(from newegg ofc) |

Unlocked to full Phenom II x four with L3 cache Now I need a superior HSF I got lucky with this one full L3 cache with unlock. This is now the identical as my Phemon II 955 BE which I paid 贬 for. Guess the extra ์ is insurance that it will be what it say. |

Bought it for a budget gaming rig and didnt want to spend a great deal thinking of whats coming down the pike. I was able to unlock it with my Biostar board and Im happily a quad core now. Didnt mess with the overclocking as at three.two its quick enough for what I do and I notice the temps went up a little when I unlocked it. Dont get me wrong its still low around 35C but was 27C under a moderate load. I did use the artic silver and I believe in it. None unless you have a factor against finding an additional core for totally free ;) Fantastic deal not cutting edge stuff but hey I built a decent gaming rig for about 400 bucks. Installed a power color 5770 and I'm able to run the games I play on high or far better. I never ever get cutting edge let the wealthy guys do that and get wonderful deals a year later! It costs a lot of money to get bragging rights. For most men and women 40 frames vs 60+ is not that major a deal. I believe people forget movies are only 22 frames per second. Anything over that is extremely playable. BTW the 5770 is almost certainly the ideal value in graphic card industry IMO. |

Effortless and stable unlock with Gigabyte 870 series motherboard. OC'd a small to three.four with the FSB and still rock solid. 6 hours Prime95. Had to up voltage 1 notch. Remarkably cool... Locked multiplier? Ha. Its cheap as hell, fantastic "tide-me-over" till I can afford a actual Black Edition. Stock HSF is decent sufficient, not good. I knew what I was receiving, and it fits my requirements perfectly. Pulled a 7.four on WEI unlocked and overclocked. What much more do you want from a processor?? |

AMD Athlon II X3 450 3.2GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
No L3 cache bad idea for gaming.
Pros: 3.2ghz, 95w, 2000mhz HT and price if around $70. Comment:
For a low cost encoder/surfing/media comp it's excellent. Under CM212+ load only hits 22c. Using TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 makes use of 3 cores but VSO only uses 2. I have this x3 450, x4 940BE, x2 6000 and a x4 965BE and trust me when I say you need L3 for gaming. I give it 4 stars for what it's intended for and the low cost. |

Cons:
factory aluminium heatsink
Pros: Hidden Core ??Excellent Value performance for your dollar Comment:
Bought this processor, Asus M4A88TD-M/USB3 motherboard, and 4 Gigs of Mushkin Ram.Fourth Core unlocked on first start up, shows as a Phenom II x4 B850 p3.2Ghz (same as the new Phenom II 840)AMD is looking out for the main stream consumer with value products like this. |
Feasible to unlock to 4 cores. However, mine was too unstable. Tried upping the voltage but the stock cooler wasn't a lot of a cooler. 3 cores is more than sufficient to do anything I have to have it to do: Ultra Settings on StarCraft II, VS2010, PowerBuilder, SQL Server Programming, PhotoShop tattoos, and other day-to-day points. Unable to unlock the 4th core. I surely would buy yet another in the future, possibly I'll be lucky then. =] Stock cooler does it's job. If you want a 4 core, acquire a 4 core.
