How do you rate a CPU...either it performs, or doesn't work. Let me make it basic for you, it has 4 cores, and all 4 of them are operational. And yes...it does run at three. GHz. I had some difficulty at initial obtaining all 4 cores operating, but I identified out it was a challenge with either my BIOS, or a switch on the motherboard...so this isn't really a reputable con, but I believed I'd clarify anyway (that motherboard and BIOS configuration can from time to time be painful). Hundreds less expensive than a comparable Pentium processor, it performs as advertised...what is the unfavorable here? I stick by my AMDs...they frequently make me content enough to cry...or at least satisfied adequate to create this straightforward review of praise.

Wonderful speeds for gaming, you can't come across significantly games that will need a greater speed. No complications with performance what so ever. Can be a bit loud but hardly noticeable when sound is coming from speakers.

Quad Core, Rapid, Superior Cost Not a X6 core I am a big AMD fan. The processors often give you a lot of performance for your dollars. I have now purchased three AMD Phenom II's and not a a single has had an concern. AM3 boards are less expensive and so are the AMD cpu's. Overall performance bargain hunters appear no farther :)

Hard to beat for the cost. Lower wattage = cooler (I do not overclock at the moment). Churns by way of every thing I throw at it and comes back for additional. I am sure I am not going to be putting this to the test for really awhile. None. Even the stock fan is quiet. It's been out of stock in newegg for a long time. I bought mine in a yahoo on the web retailer. It functions very good. I use it for work. I have multiple webpage open (about ten)and nevertheless be in a position to play Starcraft two in ultra setting. Processor in no way got above 45 C. Running 28 C at idle. I did not use the original heat sink that came with it. I use my old Phenom 9600 heatsink. None I wish I waited a little bit. It expense me ฟ much more from other web page.

Scores a 7.3 on the Windows 7 WEI. Generates a lot of heat and the stock cooler is not the ideal. The cooler is quite loud when cpu is hot. It gets up to 4500 rpm's and doesn't actually hold the processor cool. stays around 40 degrees Celsius when Idle.I will get the artic cooling heatsink for this cpu.

It's AMD (reliable, stable) and quick enough for most applications including gaming. Will allow for some degree of O.C. with custom cooling technique. With no O.C., stock fan & heatsink retain it barely warm. None. Particularly uncomplicated four-core activation on my ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO mobo. Absolutely not a energy hog (when not overclocked) and is quiet with ASUS cool'n quiet settings.

I went back at forth among the black edition and this one particular. I am content I chose this a single. With the aftermarket cooler and the Alienware case, I only got it to 44 degrees the moment coding 720i with 5.1 dts. I can't think how cool this runs. Windows index is 7.4 at the current settings, which from other evaluations on newegg is in the location of the high priced processors. (Yes, I know a I7 is quicker, I dont care) The plastic case was hard to open when it came, but it may have had one thing to do with me running and screaming like a 12 year old girl at Christmas over joyed that I could set up it. Over clock settings on a gigabyte board are so simple a caveman or even I could do it. at three.6 ghz it bumped the ram up to 7.7 in WI. Comment:
I've had this processor considering that it came out and was 赨. I don\'t forget thinking about finding the C2 or the C3 and I'm glad I got this one. This one particular runs at only 95 watts which was low compared to speed at the time. I run Linux most of the time and I can say that I don't commonly use the power it gives. I usually underclock all cores to 800MHZ. However, I have a Win7 Pro partition and I can't overclock past 3.15 GHZ ahead of it becomes unstable. Some guys say they get it a lot more quickly, I don't know how and I've been tweaking the OC settings for 6 months. Nevertheless, I can't complain due to the fact it has accomplished admirably with Almost everything I can throw at it including 16,000 marks in 3dmark 06 and high 7's in WEI. It requires everything without having so significantly as a hickup (provided clock speeds stay at factory specs). It requires StarCraft II on ultra high without even warming up. I dare you to come across anything that pushes it to 98% employed. I've been running it for 6 months and I haven't discovered a point. Can't say its seriously a con. I had hoped to clock it a small higher, but AMD in no way promised that I could at all. at idle with AMD's heat-pipe heatsync (the one that comes with 140W processors, not this one particular) it runs 41 at idle and up to 50 on load. Still cool sufficient, considering that its designed to manage 65; nevertheless, I'd like it in the 30's at idle. Guess its time to invest in an aftermarket CPU fan.

CPU worked as expected, rapid. I have excellent load instances on games and other applications, not the ideal but fantastic. Windows 7 gave it a 7.three CPU rating The stock fan was kinda finnicky installing with my motherboard. Solid purchase for a cpu. Was searching to make a program for below 1000 and this was a lower priced CPU. I'm impressed with the efficiency. Great value overall performance per price.
