Upgraded from a Pentium 4 1.8Ghz. Now this CPU delivers a lot of energy for a really little cost compared to a i5 or i7.Was for my initial build and I havent had any issues with it. The stock fan is not that loud and it's performing its job. I also liked the reality that it's only 95W, so I didnt have to worry too significantly about my PSU. The stock fan is weird. Had to watch some videos to basically know how to install it. It's really not that tricky to do it, the tricky element is realizing precisely how to put it in. Newegg ɛ Paid normal shipping, got it the subsequent day.

undoubtedly the very best processor i've ever had, but i've only had low to mid priced "PC-in-a-box" from department stores just before this. occasionally i'll have mutiple windows such as games and/or programs running, and this has been no dilemma for me. the fan seems truly loud whenever i play a game for some reason, unless it's an older game that calls for little technique resources.

This processor rocks when it works. I had no troubles with it for 6 months and then it stopped operating. I known as AMD tech support and they handled the support call very professionally. Immediately after five minutes of talking to the support individual I had an RMA. Processor only last 6 months

quite quickly. Large improvement to my X2 5600+. Normal cooler functions fantastic. none i was aiming for the 965 but i had to watch the energy usage. The 945 utilizes only 95watt. No regrets at all. Works like a charme. In combination with my 9800 GTX i can play BFBC2 in highest settings.

Fantastic CPU! Super multiprocessing capabilities as opposed to the core two from Intel. AMD is now the finest bang for the buck and the ideal period (regardless of cost) Nope Got this one over the black edition since it was lower wattage and high cache, I am extremely content with it. Does not run too hot either. Wish newegg sold the even lower wattage sorts(type "e" 65W), but I prob. would have purchased this one anyway due to the fact it is a bit less costly.Very same spec as Black edition but lower wattage which indicates longer life so I would recommend it more than the Black Edition of comparable spec.

Quite quickly on video editing & coping Price I prefer OEM version to cut the cost. QuadCore & cache makes copy a full DVD inside 15 min!!!It sounds like copying a music CD, doesn't it?I did not notice the distinction for PC games, just like Intxx.795XT MB, 4G DDR3 񡾵), SATA3 HDD

-Quad-core -Wonderful OC potential-Good price point-Fast SHIPPING! (Thanks Newegg)-Stays below 40C under load at 3.4GHz with a normal copper AMD HSF, even with Cool and Quiet disabled The included HSF is barely adequate for this powerhouse, nothing but a affordable flimsy hunk of aluminum with no pipes. The manufacturer heatsink from my old Athlon 6000+ has a copper base and piping so I decided to use that rather, and tossed the included one in the trash. My overall knowledge from the shipping to the efficiency of this CPU makes it difficult to knock an egg for the heatsink, but seriously AMD, what is the dilemma? A high-end quad core CPU need to have a greater HSF answer than the inexpensive garbage that is included. I would be substantially far more satisfied if this item had been 15-20 bucks far more and actually came with a worthy HSF. As for the CPU itself... nothing poor to be stated about it. Overall, a wonderful processor. I upgraded from a four-year-old Athlon X2 6000+ (windsor) to this poor boy, and I can very easily notice the distinction in power. I was contemplating an Intel-based program, but the costs are just a bit too high for my liking. Aside from the trashy included heatsink, this CPU is a winner. Video encoding is many times quicker than my previous program, and gaming got kicked up a notch as properly. Just make sure you order an aftermarket HSF remedy if you program on running this factor significantly OCed.

Breaths new life in to old systems. Not a con but investigation your older motherboard and bios revisions to make a decision which AM3 CPU is compatible, Opt for a balance in between speed, cost and power consumption, this one appears just about great with the 95 w consumption, low cost and 3 ghz. Just wanted to add to my previous review. I was running a 8800GTS 512mb video card with an Athlon X2 Video card. I was debating an upgrade for the video card but I am glad I chose to acquire this. The old GPU was bottle-necked due to the processor and my GPU efficiency elevated also. Memory performance increased drasticly. If you have an AM2 or AM2+ board that supports this CPU and want an upgrade with out altering the mobo and ram then purchase this CPU, or better yet an even quicker one if your method supports it.Energy consumption is about the identical, all factors considered this is almost certainly the greatest upgrade with out altering the motherboard.

Properly what can i say you want energy you'll got it. hard core gamers on a buget. I love it no need to O.C. it's plenty of power, in my O.P, a little overkill for the typical desktop but you wont require to up grade for a few years. makes the lower four core's beg four forgiveness acquire 1!!!! = to a 赨 intel gets hot but that is the cheap heatsink. it dosen't cover all the cup face about a 1Ǟ in not coverd by the flat spot look out i believe amd know's this is a very good prosesser so thay want you to burn it up :( get your self a very good cooler and dont be stingy, right cooler will give you O.C. possibilities

Considerable improvement in PC efficiency from an Athlon 64 X2 5000+! Good performance for the price. Extremely straightforward to install as long as you have correct BIOS version (see below). The stock heat sink and fan seem to function fine. Quiet and has kept processor temp reasonable under heaviest load (low 30'sC when idle and low 50'sC under max load). When once again NewEgg offers finest cost and speedy delivery. None so far. Installed in a MSI K9a2 CF mobo. Just make positive you update BIOS Before you install processor so PC will recognize it. I am impressed with MSI and AMD. This MSI mobo spans such a wide range of processors which supplied excellent upgrade opportunities. AMD supplies lots of computing energy for a lower cost compared to its competition. I've utilised AMD for at least 10 years and never a difficulty.

Dropped suitable into my Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DS5 soon after a bios upgrade. Low power usage than the Black Editions with out sacrificing speed. Has level three cache and the Denab quads have none. None Greatest below 贶 CPU out there. Don't waste your funds on a Intel product. Instead purchase this and drop the savings into a far better graphics card.

I was able to update my ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe MB (AM2 board) to BIOS 5002 and install this chip. BIOS and windows picked the CPU up with no problems and runs really smooth. I can run Battlefield Poor firm 2 and Metro 2033 on high settings with no lag now. Logitech G15 keyboard display shows 4 individual cores on the CPU/RAM usage screen Heat sink that came with this CPU as all aluminum, all though that is all this CPU requirements, its cheep, I reused my old 6400 copper heat pipe heat sink. The multiplier is locked, it would be good if AMD would launch the black addition. I poped this in my ASUS Crosshair prior to putting it in my M2N32-SLI Deluxe to see if it would function. It did, and booted, windows picked up 4 cores at three.01 GHz, BUT, both the BIOS and windows mentioned: unknown CPU installed and the BIOS was unable to read any of the CPU's s/n or revision info. No BIOS updates regrettably. So to be secure, contemplating the Crosshair prob. put default voltages in, I installed it in the M2N32 as I intended to do.MB=M2N32-SLI DeluxeGPU= 8800 Ultra x two in SLIPSU=Thermaltake 1200W
