Everything about this processor is a pro, it completely slams my preceding 1055t into the dirt, in no way need to have to overclock. General I would say there is absolutely nothing wrong with this processor. It is not an AMD Bulldozer but then again they won't be out for a small longer anyways. Quickly. This will aid my gaming rig really effectively. Stock fan is LOUD. But if you have a spare fan laying about and you know its quieter, then you can replace it, or if your getting a new heat sink, then no difficulty.

Cheap alternative to stupidly priced intel chips. Overclocked simply to 4. ghz. 7.5 on windows expertise index. None however Was simple to clock up on my MSI 890FXA-GD70 by altering fsb to 229. Left multiplier and voltages on defaults. Checked stability with prime95.

As the other reviews have stated, this point is faaaaast. Strategy on overclocking as soon as I get the stock cooler replaced. Comes with a decent stock cpu cooler and heatsink, but if you strategy on overclocking it'd be a great concept to upgrade. So far, don't have any. If you're into overclocking, this is an exceptional cpu for it. Working with this in a gaming rig, and it handles anything I throw at it with ease.

Rapidly processor no complaints about speed or raw power. The fan for this processor is OBNOXIOUSLY loud. I have my computer inside a solid wood desk. You can hear the fan from 35 feet away. I measured the distance. If you buy this processor get yourself an immediately after market cooler to go with it. I already replaced the fan on my unit. The Fan/Heatsink from the first generation Phenom's match this processor. The 1st generation fan/heatsink was extremely quiet. I don't recognize why the fan on the new heatsink's are so loud.

H0ly buckets this point is F-A-S-T! Stable, operating cool with stock fan. Amazing worth. Did I mention its quick? None whatsoever. Maybe my only regret is I didn't pull the trigger on this buy sooner now this I know what I was missing... Honestly, I don't feel a need to overclock this beast nevertheless. Temps are at most 125 degrees F when pushing all four cores with CPU intensive apps. The fan doesnt appear as 'smooth' as some other folks I've observed, but its not obnoxiously loud and does get the job done well.----AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition Deneb 125W Quad-Core Desktop ProcessorASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD MotherboardG.Ability Ripjaws Series 4GB ƒ x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) F3-12800CL9D-4GBRASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU BestǘDI몘MD5 GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready

One particular word, Rapidly. This thing quickly that it crunch via games and each day job like nothing. Overclock was a breeze with an Asus board. Installation was super easy evaluate to Intel push pins. Fantastic chip if you are under a budget make. None. Properly, for the price tag, it's a genuinely wonderful deal. Considering that my budget is limited most of the time, I usually go with AMD all these years. However, I just switch to an Intel core i7 950 due to an irresistible deal locally. So I believed I must just try something new. stock clock at three.06. I OC' it a small to 3.4. And I swear that I could inform the various when compared to the AMD Phenom II X4 970. The Intel CPU is certainly more rapidly, my laptop or computer ran smoother. I don't mean to offend AMD. AMD's processors are nevertheless finest bang for your buck with CPU sub 贘. But if you intend to invest 赨+ for a CPU, IMO we must go for Intel.

Excellent processor at an amazing price. The supplied heat sink sucks. It's noisy (buzzes at high RPM) and the finish on the base was sub par. I wish I would've recognized how undesirable the heat sink was ahead of time. No worries even though, picked up a Zalman CNPS8700 NT and it does the job quite nicely.

This CPU actually kicks. If you can retain it cool without going deaf. When I received the box the CPU came in it had a huge DENT in it. I don't know if this was newegg, or AMD, or UPS. Either way it shouldn't have been sent like that. I don't assume it was UPS either I think it was just mishandled simply because none of the other devices I received looked as negative as this poor small cpu did. I am not a picky particular person and I can handle loads of noise as I devote 99% of my commute going down the highway on my bike with open pipe on either side no difficulty. But this horrible CPU fan is insanely loud. It's not even spinning at full rpm, even on idle it is loud. Upon inspection it appears that it might have sustained damage or is just defective since the fan blade housing wiggles. As if it's off it's bearings or something. I love AMD but this horribly loud piece of junk actually let me down this time. You would think for a Black Edition CPU they would put a small more adore towards the item itself. Oh yea it produces SO Considerably EMI I CAN'T HEAR JACK FROM MY SPEAKERS I know that I could use a different fan setup but I'm only going to run it stock, I won't be carrying out any overclocking. I would count on that the fan/heatsink that comes with it would at least be sufficient enough to deal with the cpu it was developed for and without having screaming into my ears. I can hear the miserable factor from the otherend of the property when everyones asleep and have taken to just turning the factor off. The fan must be defective simply because the interference it produces is so excessive that it causes a whining sound on my audio program, I've traced it to the fan due to the fact it was ruining my microphone/teamspeak conversations. You really let me down AMD. I guess on the plus side it's saving me additional electrical energy than my old construct since I'm afraid to leave the system on at evening unattended. Guess it saves you on electricity soon after all....

Rapid out of the box, no will need for me to OC...but I will when the AC5 cures a little. My trusty Freezer Pro 64 keeps it cool for now(see cons). Do Oneself a favor, acquire a third party cooler when you get this processor. The stock unit is a whiney, loud little B**** that AMD is so ashamed of they don't even put their logo on it. It sounds like a Dust Buster. The stock cooler concerns are no suprise, but that piece of junk in the box is the worst!!!! My wifes computer has a Phenom II 940 with the stock cooler and it efficiency and sound are acceptable, why the junk for this CPU, come on AMD.

4 cores, high clock speed, decent performance, oh-so-incredibly price successful, far more than worth every single penny. Can't genuinely get a superior CPU for gaming on an AM3 socket, as the new 1100T is only slightly far better in that respect. The 965 is only slightly much less powerful than the 970 and is substantially cheaper. But both processors are low-cost, and both are worth the dollars.

-Cheap-Rapidly -For 赔... NONE! So much more quickly than the 940 it replaces. Proper away I overclocked it to four.0Ghz at 1.425v and under no circumstances looked back. With my Hyper 212 cooler and a bunch of Ultra Kaze fans in my CM690 case, I idle in the 31c-35c range and beneath normal load, never ever above 42c. Below gaming load situations, it may spike to 45c, but anything a lot more is unheard of. For 赔, this can\'t be beaten. Though I am upset that only a day or two following I bought this processor, even though I waited for it to arrive, AMD Finally released the 975 and Newegg had it. I lastly give up the wait and jump on the 970, then they sneak the 975 out onto the market place and I miss it by a day or two.The short story is, this processor rocks! This paired with some serious video card(s) will make an excellent gaming rig.

Performs with AM2+ motherboards. Upgraded to this from a Phenom 9850 and difference was noticeable promptly. So fast and without overclocking. Nevertheless tweaking it out to test total prospective. No cons. AMD processors are the best factor out there for the cash. If upgrading, make positive to update the BIOS. Also, a single may have to manually clear the RTC and CMOS, even if the MoBo has an auto return to default at Pc boot failure. Did not have to reinstall the OS.

Have been working with AMD processors for over ten years and have in no way had a issue with them. None Overclocked to 4ghz appropriate out of the box via multiplier only. Did not have to fool with any voltage adjustments, and so on. Very stable so far, and noticeably faster than 955 it replaced.

Really quickly and effective. The fan truly is poor. I have the Cooler master Sniper case (amazing airflow) and all I can hear is the whiney pitch of the fan. I replaced the CPU fan with a coolermaster fan of the exact same size and produced no difference. The noise stems from the air from the fan hitting the cooling fins. I am glad I purchased this, but AMD ought to just skip the fan and offer you บ towards a decent fan.

Rapidly small processor, very good value compared to Intel brand (邇.99 for much less clock speed, but far better believed put) If you're seeking for a high finish processor for a inexpensive gaming laptop or computer, this thing will make you pleased, sitting at 3512mhz it performs anything quick sufficient that I haven't even felt the want to O.C. it. None so far. The stock heat sink that comes with it, the clip seems rather tight. But it comes with a 3.5k rpm fan with heat pipes so no complaints genuinely

This thing is faaaast. I was gonna replace the stock fan for overclocking, but I feel I'll just leave it at stock speeds for a even though. The fan is sort of affordable, but you have to expect that from a stock fan. Also, the heatsink is a bit of a pain to mount. If you have that substantially trouble with the stock cooler, replace it. This processor is worth every penny. Couldn't be happier.

It worked out of box, and with my Cooler Master V8 maintaining it cool, I moved the voltage to 1.45 and the multiplier to 19.five for a total 3.9ghz overclock. :) Runs at 40C browsing the internet and listening to music.Ran stable operating prime95 for three hours at 54C max. I can't seem to push it above 3.9ghz stable without having pushing the voltage above 1.5 and I'm currently pushing it above stock going 1.45. I've read others have gotten it to 4.2 stable no challenge, so maybe it's just my motherboard. My motherboard is MSI NF980-G65.Anyone searching to overclock should just raise the multiplier and leave the FSB alone. Considering that it's a black edition processor the multiplier is unlocked for that cause. :) I also recommend carrying out research!

Its a shame I don't have my SSD given that my make is actually bottle necked by my 5900 RPM HD, but the moment I get that I count on I will see a lot far more from this processor.fantastic worth, came with a totally free game also! none that I can think of? I guess that I missed it when it was 179.99 on black Friday and payed an extra ŭ!
